Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns

Review: ill admit, im a bit of a starwars fan. I thought this game was going to be great, i had always dreamed of a star wars game that was like age of empires. And this one even uses the same game engine!!!but after playing it for about a week, it starts to get bad. The replayibility is horrible, and if you own age of empires (age of kings) you will notice that the art in star wars galactic batlegrounds apears hurried and low quality compared to age of empires age of kings. Also, it apears that the game wasent adapted for a futuristic game, it seem exsiting the first time you set a bomber on a building, just as its about to make its expected run though, it stops in mid air and procedes to drop uninspired balls of greenstuff on the target.
all in all this game seems slaped together and poor use has been made of the tried and true AoE game engine, i dont recomend this game to anyone but the most avid star wars fans.

Summary: getting back to the good ol' days
Review: lately there has been a boost of Star Wars ground battles. and i don't have anything wrong with that. however, i love flight sims; and the X-Wing series was absolutely brilliant. with the new movies i think we have lost focus of the thrill of flying the Mellinium Falcon into the Death Star. and flying an X-Wing, trying to outfly the enemy TIE fighter. the last installment of the X-Wing series, X-Wing Alliance, introduced players to an incredible story line. yet it still had its quirks. but what game doesn't. i think there needs to be more space action in the future.

Review: Much like the previous missions in the original game, the expansion missions are just as addictive and just as fun. Again the game does not stray far from the Starcraft, Warcraft, and AOE platforms, with good graphics, and a great replay value. The setting is episode 2 and you are given the option of two different armies...the confederacy or the galactic republic. Unlike the original Galactic Battle grounds, you are forced to play in order: confederacy, then republic, for this game, like the blizzard titles, follow a story line. This game has even more cheats than the first title..."simonsays" still applies here.

Review: the best part is brand new stuff like the a-wing, a "unique" rebel air unit, the tantive 4, the imperial star destroyer, and the death star! and yes, it really can blow everything up.

Review: The expansion to Galactic Battlegrounds was an improvement. The gameplay, additional sounds and the new civilizations make it worth the buy. I play this game online a few hours everyday, so you could say I find it pretty addicting. It really isn't a bad game at all.

Review: This game is based on a favorite game engine of mine Age Of Empires. I really enjoy setting up my empires and duking it out with computer generated opponets as well as online ones.More so I suppose with the computer because I can save the game and come back to it when I feel like it from any point in the battle.Lucas Arts did a fine job of putting together something that I find very entertaining. I've encountered several reviews that really aren't fair to this game just because it incorporates other cultures like the Wookies. SO what? It's just more civilizations to fight with and that makes the game.
The Clone expansion cd really adds alot more to the game.If you have kids or are an old kid like me then do yourself a favor and get this game.

Review: This game is so much better then AOE,I love it ,I play it all Friday night and Saturday, but my computer recently broke!Super Crude...The one major flaw is the enemy air craft can fly over your walls, SO WHY BUILD THEM[.]??? The best thing is the new "monks" are JEDI KNIGHTS!AWESOME!The Jedi can attack,convert, and carry "relics", now Jedi Holograms! The game is SWEET!I so love it, my mom has to tell me twice to get off of it! HA!HA!This is The best(personly)game Lucasfilm Entertainment has ever made! Dude! It just blows me out! MAN! I like to type in "forcenova" 10 times and make like 10 Jedi Masters, then go and kick bigtime...... Get this game while it's hot! Hurry! It is totally awesome! One Good thing in it is that in AOEII you can queue your farms to replant by themselves, well you could only queue like 20 farms at a time, well, SWCC()Star Wars Clone Campaigns)let's you queue like 30 or more! I love that! The Gungans are cool because they can build "houses"(now called "Prefab Shelters")under water! Or, in lakes! The Royal Naboo is okay but their air so kicks..... The Galactic Empire's "seige workshop" units So(again)kicks.... The Wookies Troopers so(and again)kick Bigtime.... The Reb's "workers"(now droids except for The Condfedrcy)are better at farming then the others. The Trade Fedration are like the Huns in AOEII, they don't need houses! Oh yeah! The Confedrcy(run by Count Dooko)is kinda like the middle guys, they don't really have any unique power. The Republic also have Clone Troopers! They so Rock! Get this game now!
