Summary: A Classic if there ever was one.
Review: Warcraft has totally stood the test of time. The first good quality real-time strategy game out there in a fantasy setting really made this worthwhile. And for the price, you can't beat that for a game that will still run on a 486 if you have one laying around. For the hobbyist gamer or collector I would recomend this game. It's time has come and past, but it is a must have in any CD Archive.

Summary: WarCraft: Very Well Done, but not Blizzard's best work
Review: WarCraft is an excellent strategy game which I enjoyed immensely. It allows you to play via the net, as well as the campaign of the orc/human struggle. The storyline is ok, the gameplay is good, and the forces are fairly interesting. It was a great game while it lasted, but that time was less than most strategy games. Blizzard corrected most of its errors of WarCraft when it made StarCraft. Thus, although this is a good game, for a better look of what Blizzard is capable of, give StarCraft a try-its not that WarCraft is bad, its just StarCraft is better.

Summary: awesome reissue of a classic
Review: I remember playing this game on my old pentium 60 that ran Windows 3.11. The game is exactly the same now, but it, amazingly still holds up, unlike many games from the same time, like Doom II, and the like. Blizzard are an awesome company, and have really spiffed up Warcraft II in this version. The most noticable is the addition of about 50 or so single player custom scenarios to choose from, and Blizzard combining the actual game and its add-on in one CD, saving the buyer bucks. Also, less important to me, but still really cool is the multiplayer set-up. Though I have yet to try it out for myself, I'm sure I will be in the fall when I go back to school and my T1 connection. everyone I've talked to so far about it said the multiplayer interface is great. Judging from the upgrades to the single-player part of the game, it seems like they're right.

Summary: A classic
Review: Warcraft 2 is an older game but has withstood the test of time better than most. It has the same policies as a modern day tibearn sun. Mine gold, cut tree and build farms. This game is a classic and withle other games may now surpass it this is still worth getting. I can still play it an have a good time.

Summary: This Game was 5 stars at a time...
Review: WarCraft 2 is a legendary game made by Blizzard, a big gaming company as of now. The game when it came out had everything and was a start of a brand new kind of game play. Now with THIS edition though you can play on the internet, which was something many people wanted for some time. The races of 2 arn't nearly as strategic as StarCraft, its following great achiever, due to the facts that the Orcs and Humans in the game play are almost identical. The only real difference is the spells, and the way the units look.

There is 2 reasons that I think you should buy this over StarCraft... One is that it has two GREAT previews of the upcoming game WarCraft 3 and the game Diablo 2. The other reason is that not everyone can afford computers that are incredibly fast. So if you can not play StarCraft very quickly and it goes slow on b.net for you, then WarCraft2 is something you must buy because it will work much more effectively.

Summary: The Original Real Time Strategy Game!
Review: These are the games that started it all! The original great real-time-strategy games by Blizzard are classics.

I remember downloading the demo of Warcraft from a local BBS and loving it.

When Warcraft two came out I played this game until the last map, which I never did finish...always irks me.

I have gone back to play these games once in a while to try to relive the fun I had playing them originally, but games get outdated so fast and this set of Warcraft games is no exception.

The originals, these games practically invented a whole gaming genre...and heck it it wasn't fun to keep building and building to see what type of stuff you can get next!

If you can handle playing older games, check them out.

Summary: Warcraft II
Review: This is an awesome game for you war/stategy fans. It has way better graphics that warcraft I. This game also has 20 to 25 different units to make it cool. It has the expansion to add a couple of new scenarios and heroes which adds alot more fun. the coolest thing though is the map editor. It allows you to design your own scenarios to play. You can be either orc or human ina your scenarios. the only problem is that you can't change the scenario objectives. I highly recommend this game!

Summary: Great game, but getting old
Review: This is by far my favorite stragety game of all time, everything about it is great, but it is very old and WarcraftIII is coming out early next year or late this year, besides that there are several other Blizzard games to make up for this

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A good value for the bucks
Review: Let's face it... WarCraft isn't StarCraft. Think of it as StarCraft's successful, retired grandpa. The graphics aren't nearly as detailed and the gameplay isn't quite as challenging or in depth as it's successor, but for the price, WarCraft is a nice pickup, especially for those who aren't familiar with the series. The new package includes the Tides of Darkness and the Beyond the Dark Portal single-player missions, as well as access to Blizzard's sweet multiplayer website.

Summary: Siskel and Ebert Give It Two Thumbs Up! Way Up!
Review: Ok, the first Warcraft wasn't the best when it comes to graphics or any of that heeby-cheeby hullabaloo. But it was a fun game and I mean you like Warcraft II and the Expansion. Dude, they were awesome. Don't mistake me but this is a two thumbs up way up rare occurance. Don't miss out.
