Summary: No, I Don't Want Ants On My Pizza
Review: Pros: Cute graphics...$5 "Bargain Bin" at CompUsa

Cons: Confusing layout! No instruction manual,
Infuriating...difficult to understand, time-consuming, Interface impossible to deal with, limited control, yadda, yadda, yadda

The Bottom Line: Avoid it! The jewel case will make a great coaster for the soda I'm sipping while playing a REAL game. If your goal is to drive someone insane, literally, then this is the perfect gift. Otherwise, don't waste your money.

Summary:
The Pros:

The idea of it all. They potentially had something so good in this game.

The scenarios. Easy, medium or hard as well as "most income" or "Most popular" or "First one to make a million dollars". I liked the option of not really having any goal and just playing so that I wouldn't blink and be obliterated.

You can check on how different "target groups" are responding to your restaurant, your food, etc. Click on the target group and a little Polaroid Photo sort of thing pops up and they're either smiling or making a pre-vomiting face.

The "make your own pizza" part! Oh man this was fun! You sort through all your ingredients and apply liberally. You have the traditional meats and cheeses and veggies. You also have all sorts of seafood and insect life. Ew, right? Well, you open franchises in different countries and hey, tastes vary. What else is fun when you're making your pizza is they have a "Chopper". You can click your ingredient over the chopper and it'll dice it smaller and smaller and it's graphically correct and adorable. Cheese starts as a block (chopper chopper) and then it's a thinner slice (chopper chopper) and then it's small chunks, and then shreds, and then sprinkles. How cute! Tomatoes go from whole to halves to quarters to slices to paste! Fun!

The Cons:

I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't figure out how to play this game for the life of me. Being impatient, I just jumped on in and thought I was going to kick some butt. After about 20 minutes I was still staring at the screen, clicking on various things.

Aaaaalright, I'll take the tutorial. It turned the light bulb on in my head in terms of staffing, decoration and purchasing supplies. Frustrating though...I clicked on everything on the screen before I'd click on what it wanted me to. The graphics are loud and confusing. What does a big face mean? Staff? Syndicate? Exit?

Oddly enough when I started my next game I couldn't find ANY of the buttons that were there in the tutorial...I couldn't find the staffing, my "information history" and couldn't even figure out how to open my darn restaurant.

Infuriating! I checked out my restaurant...it had some people and staff in it...but when I clicked around it sent me to some other restaurant. I sure the heck didn't open that one or decorate it, where'd it come from? Argh!

You have the option of having things done "automatically" for you in various areas (Select them when you begin your scenario if you'd like) but doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of building your own Pizza Empire?

Summary: If this game is half as good as the old one
Review: Than I can not wait!! I used to own the old version of this game, you had to load it on DOS <-- yeah that old! You build a pizza shop, create your own pizzas, it was tons of fun! I am so exited that this game is coming out for Win98. Not that DOS wasn't fun!! (lol)

This game is kinda like a SIM, you build the shop, you pick the floors, the walls, the chairs, and more. You also hire the workers you want, and the music you want to play. You are in charge of an amazing pizza place.

If you remember this game, it's BACK!!!

Summary: what are you people talking about
Review: The game is very easy to play and it only took me about 15 minutes to figure everything out, i don't know why everyone thinks the game is hard because i had never played any version of it before and i thought it was easy so personally i think it is a great game. I like games that are fun to watch and this one is. I like the fact that the game is a little challenging because if it wasnt challenging then it wouldnt be that much fun. This game doesnt take long to master and it is alot of fun. Even though there is no instruction manual if you keep your mouse over all the icons you can see what they mean, so i really dont know what everyones problem is. The real challenge is making money. This is a really great game so i reccomend buying it, i have a fft fansite but amazon wont let me put the adress on here, nor my email to get the adress, so look in yahoo and type fast food tycoon, my site is called " the fast food tycoon webpage". There you will find out how to make the perfect restauraunt.

Summary: Can't figure this game out
Review: The idea is great, the graphics are good (even if the icons are a little confusing) and I even figured out how to run the tutorial, set up a restaurant, design a menu, get financing, hire workers AND EXIT the game. What I can't do is make people come in and eat Pizza! I also can't seem to speed up the clock (it's a little boring watching the restaurant when it's closed at night)

This game could probably be great with a little instruction beyond the tutorial. I've looked for tips, cheats, web ring etc., and nothing exists. I only gave this game 2 stars because I have HOPE that someday I will figure it out.

Summary: Great Idea - poor execution
Review: The idea of creating and managing your own fast food chain, and then watching it function from a bird's eye view is a great one. Unfortunately, Activision failed at recreating this idea to your PC with Fast Food Tycoon. The main reason the game is a failure is because of it's confusing gameplay. It helps to use the tutorial but even after that you'll find yourself wondering, "How did I get to that certain screen that let me do that certain function." Watching your pizza(only type of food)place function is pretty cheasy also. There are very few animations and there's not many ways to edit the looks of the place either. If your looking for a solid simulaion game that will keep you entertained for hours your better off with Theme Hospital, Roller Coaster Tycoon, or one of the sim-cities. Do your cholesterol a favor and pass this Fast Food.

Summary: Pizza Tycoon is back
Review: This game is a lot of fun. People who are familiar with and liked the old game Pizza Tycoon will just love this one. The gameplay is very familiar, but the graphics has improved a lot. It's called Fast Food Tycoon, but really should have been called Pizza Tycoon 2.

If you are looking for an excellent game that lets you try things you'd probably never would in real life, Fast Food Tycoon is a game for you. In Fast Food Tycoon you are in charge. Design your restaurant, then hire staff, choose and create your pizzas, manage your restaurant, and probably the funnest part, defend your restaurant from the mob.

When you consider that this game goes for around $19.99, it's a very good deal if you like economic simulations. If you, like me, loved the game Pizza Tycoon, it's just a bargain and a must have.

Summary: Awsume, but...
Review: This game is awsome, it has every thing I wanted when I bought it but, The bad thing is that there very bad graphics and there is no way to exit the game eccept [ctrl]+[alt]+[delete]. Thats the only bad thing about the game. If you are thinking about buying the game buy it but, don't buy it if you do not want to exit the game that way.

Summary: Great game! But it can be hard to get the hang of!
Review: This game is great! You would have to own the orignal pizza tycoon to understand the game! But the graphics are good in my opinion. But you have to remember the game was made to be funny and unrealistic. But you can get in the mob and be a huge pizza star. overall it is a great game! If you need help you can go to the webring and type in fast food tycoon there you will find a helpful site!

Summary: Waste of Money
Review: This game is really boring, maybe someone under five may have fun with it but really it was not worth the money. I played it once and tossed it out. I might as well flushed my money down the can.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It's still alive and well
Review: This game is really good once you learn all the aspects of the game, it seems simple on the surface, but can be rather complex underneath.

As far as someone should put up a website for it, and the other comment about activision pulling the fast food tycoon site. There is a site, and activision didnt pull it, as far as I can see the company that offers it had some server trouble for a few weeks, but in any event its back up and running.
