Summary: I like it! :)
Review: I just bought the game at Best Buy and have only played it once, but I enjoy it. I don't think it's too hard to figure out, but it could bea little easier. I suggest you buy this game if you have the time to learn it. I think it is very fun and has enough information for you to be able to learn it. I hope this helped you. I do think it is worth the money!

Summary: Thought it looked cool at first, but. . .
Review: I just got this game at Costco for $14.99--not a bad deal, I thought at first. When I picked it up i could feel it was VERY light, but I didn't give it much thought. It looked like an old game from the graphics, but it said it was made my Software 2000 or something, so I got it (bad graphics dont bother me too much). . .

I open the box, and there is a CD in a paper wrapper (jewel cases too expensive, I guess) and a ONE SHEET piece of paper with install instructions--no manual. Ohh yeah and a piece of paper with some ads for other games.

After I installed it, I loaded up the game. At first I couldn't figure out how to do the tutorial, I didn't even know there WAS one, because the icons were cartoonish and hard to figure out, as they didn't have labels unless you hovered over them with your cursor. So I just made a game-I can figure it out, I thought, I mean I'm an expert at SimCity 3000 and RollerCoaster Tycoon. Well, the icons go all around your screen, and they're confusing as Heck, because of the cartoonish pictures. It took me 10 minutes to find the freakin exit button alone so I could get the tutorial (Its in the Configurations/Settings screen (WTF is up with that!)).

Anyway, so I do the tutorial, and the instructions are in this little box and you have to scroll down to read them, which is annoying because the mouse scroll-wheel doesnt work and you have to drag the thing. Anyway, it half-explains a few things to get you started and divert your attention from the fact that you just wasted 15 hard-earned buckaroos.

I did the tutorials and then messed around for 45 minutes, and I still had no clue what was going on. The execution of the interface was probably the worst I have encountered in my gaming career. It seems like it will be fun once I understand it, but my dilemma is: Why mess with it for another 2 hours if it feels like work and is frusterating? Is there that great of a payoff?

Anyway, it seems like a good idea, but the interface, execution, and graphics are horrible. I don't mind bad graphics, but when everything else sucks, it should at least be kinda pretty to make up for it. The killing blow is definately the interface.

If you are interested in these games, you should check out The Sims, SimCity 3000, definately Rollercoaster Tycoon, and Start-Up. Stay clear of this one. Believe me, you'll thank me.

If you would like to venture out of this genre, I would recommend Diablo II. Its still fun for me after 5 and a half months--I got my $$ worth on that one.

If you have alotta games already and still have time, you can get this, but only if you're willing to spend 2+ hours _Figuring it out_ Peace out,

Summary: A great game but quite hard...
Review: I love this game. You will have your own restaurants and earn money with them :)
The game is quite hard if you play a "custom game" with the difficult level is "God Father". I think you can't win him if you start with less capital, characteristic than him. However, I don't think Pizza is a FastFood, and I hate the game for wait too long when installing.
Finally I hope you buy it and play funny, than we could talk more.BUY IT NOW!!!

Summary: ENJOYED IT :)
Review: I purchased this game about 2 years ago, and I still pop it into my computer every now and then (yep .. it managed to catch my attention for that long!)
The lack of an instruction manual in this game is really no big deal -- I picked up the basics very quickly using plain old common sense. Some buttons and feautures still remain unknown to me, but this has not affected my gameplay at all.
I love the fact that within this game you can actually make your own pizzas by picking out what size you want the pizzas to be; you also have a large amount of toppings to choose for every pie that you make.
You also have the ability to decorate your actual pizza parlor. Although there are not many decor choices, you can build a fairly decent place. In the end, this game does not contain any fancy graphics, but it is based on an innovative concept that will make you play it over and over again :)

Summary: Deja Vu?
Review: I remember Fast Food Tycoon from somewhere. About 4 years ago I downloaded a DEMO of a game called Pizza Syndicate on their website, ... and after I played the demo for a while, I went to look for a place where I could buy the game. Since I loved Pizza Tycoon, and I found Pizza Tycoon 2 to be great. However, I was unable to find the game, until just recently. This game is more than just a remake of Pizza Syndicate, it's the entire game, just with a different name. A very deceiving name if you ask me! Pizza, for me atleast, is not considered Fast Food. When I saw Fast Food Tycoon, I expected I would be running a McDonald's type franchise, with the Pizza Tycoon Engine. I didn't expect to be playing a game that I have already played before. With the lack of, or no instructions on how to play this game, I only knew how to play because the game is the exact same as Pizza Syndicate and Pizza World... (Sounds like a familiar situation to Airport Inc. - Air Mogul - Airport Tycoon, or whatever you want to call it, it's all the same game! 1.No instructions 2.Poorly done tutorial 3.The re-release of a game that already exists, why not leave the name Pizza Syndicate, instead of tricking me into buying a game that I might have already owned. I'm lucky I only had the demo, but if I had the full version of Pizza Syndicate, and bought Fast Food Tycoon, it would have just been like throwing my money away. So, if the game had instructions, and didn't have a deceiving name, I would have giving this a 4/5 stars, because the people are funny, the soundfx is good and the graphics are nice. But because of the tricky sales tactics they did, I give it a 2/5 stars.

Summary: I thought it was like Sim Town & Sim City
Review: I to was very disappointed in this game. The cover of the box gives you the idea like you'll be creating the towns and resturants. The graphics are excellent. They had a great idea with this game. Just didn't follow thru. I also wished they had at least included a manual with the game. I bought mine a few days ago and now wished I hadn't. I'll be more careful next time.

Summary: How to Exit
Review: It isn't that hard to exit all of you that aren't too bright. There are two icons that are on the main screen once you are playing the game. One of them is used for saving, and the other is for settings. Just click on the settings icon and then it will give you choices on how to exit. It has a windows icon that will bring you to windows, or a rocket/missile type thing that brings you out of the playing part of the game. I hope that now all of you slow people will learn how to do this.

Summary: fast food tycoon
Review: It would be really fun if there was a book with it to help you out. I'm really lost in it.I did the tutorial but when you go to start a game it is different. I could really use some help with it.

Summary: Box or jewel Case-it doesn't matter.
Review: My wife got me this game for our anniversary present, thinking I have too many casino games, and that I like pizza.

First of all, agree with every review of this game I can find, the worst thing is lack of a definitive instruction manual, like the zoo tycoon, which is about the size of a TV Guide.

Also, noticed that the tutorial crashes, so that becomes no help. There are on line instructions and general guidelines in the help menu, but it's hard to scroll and read. So what to do?

Fortunately with a little common sense and exploring the various menu and options, one can open a restaurant and have people come in and order and eat. that's a hoot. However, I ran out of money quickly, trying to do it all, and busted.

Yeah, my wife's right, I did enjoy making the pizzas and decorating the building. I got confused generally where I was at, and am still trying to refine personnel management; but in time and enough playing around and exploring various click points, the game falls into place, and more success will come.

In summary, the game can be fun; a better guide would help, especially one that explains the various icons to click on. Also, more readable menus and result charts would be helpfull too. Maybe pull down or pop up menus. Whatever it would take to make the game easier to navigate.

I rate it average, I like it; and find great potential for it. Actually with all the scenarios included, it is a great bargain for the money. Maybe with more play experience, I'll think more highly of it.

Summary: Fast Food Tycoon - Beware!
Review: Okay, here's the deal: I'm an avid fan of sim games, especially business and strategy sims, so I was pretty excited to see this game. I ignored all of the bad reviews (which are many), and figured that these were written by non-sim gamers. I mean, how bad could this game be? Hmm... pretty bad. Actually, really bad. Even after setting the 1993-style graphics and slow game pace aside, I still couldn't see a spark of worth here. This game definitely belongs in the bin... even then it might not be worth it.

Most games are very easy to learn, even without a manual. This game however, practically requires a degree in patience, rocket science, and psychic intuition. Its interface seems to lack basic common sense, which makes navigation throughout the game, incredibly complex.

To be fair, the concept of the game is appealing, it's just that the developers couldn't make it work. As a true sim-fan, take my word and heed the reviews. This game should not have been released. To be frank, more money was probably spent on the catchy box, than the game itself.
