Summary: Ground Control 2 Beta Reviewed
Review: Currently with what has been presented, the game represents a landmark in graphical in-game rendering / effects concerning RTS (Real Time Strategy) games. I was stunned by the fact that I experienced practically no lag at all with the graphics set to maximum settings (at 1024x768 resolution). The cities had such a high level of detail that upon zooming in, one can even see trash and pieces of paper rolling in the wind. The backgrounds are breath taking with their animated asteroid belts and planetary systems. While Command and Conquer Generals has a pretty impressive engine, it still comes nowhere near to what I've seen with GC2. Additionally, C&C Generals lagged horribly even against just two comps, so that rules it out as an alternative RTS. At the moment (3/14/04) GC2 still has some bugs to be worked out, but thanks to the closed beta test, the game will be all refined and polished within a few months for release.

Summary: Not an RTS!!!
Review: For those of you (shame, shame...) that didn't play GC1, but who want to take a look at GC2, don't go in expecting an RTS (Starcraft, Warcraft, Command&Conquer), as GC is NOT an RTS at all. GC takes it beyond strategy and puts you in the seat of a field commander, using tactics (where would infantry be used best? Maybe an airstrike?). Don't get me wrong, GC is a wonderful genre... I've played GC1 through several times and still love it; just don't go in expecting something you won't get.

This game is a must-buy for those that like playing field commander/general in some games (the battlefields in the Total War series or perhaps some of the Close Combat series).

Summary: Amazing game!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: GCII is Awsome. Best Graphics i've ever seen. This isn't an RTS like AOM or AOE but is better in some ways. Only one bad thing, the game has High system requirements, but it worked on my computer. This is one of the best games i've ever played.

Summary: Looks Promising
Review: I just completed the DEMO of GCII. Being a big GCI fan, it was certainly satisfying to re-experience that universe. Overall impression is that GCII will be a great game (amazing graphics and sound). Regarding gameplay, it seems the game might benefit from a few fixes. (1) Unit pathfinding is sometimes vexing in that units periodically cannot get around other crowding units despite ample room to do so. (2) I also noticed that when you request infantry to FOLLOW an artillery piece that they will continue to push it around randomly once the piece stops moving. (3) Most disappointing is that the enemy AI tends to be somewhat naive in often walking directly in the line of fire (in fact a single enemy infantryman will try to walk directly through a whole crowd of combatants blasting him to pieces). I often saw enemy infantry men pace mindlessly back and forth in open territroy while being bombarded from a distance. It seems the AIs primary directive is to throw repeated waves opponents directly at you. Don't get me wrong - despite these annoyances the game is still alot of fun overall. I just hope the developers can work out some of the AI kinks in advance or soon after release. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Summary: awesome game!
Review: I much prefer GC1, which had a lot of scenarios that required strategy. GC2 is too in-your-face.

Summary: This game Looks AMAZING.
Review: I saw this game and it just shocked me how great it looked. This is definately one of the best looking RTS games i have seen. When units are destroyed, The graphics for the units blowing up is AWESOME. Also, its a different type of RTS where there isn't a building that creates units, you have to drop units out of this big dropship. There isn't a "build order" so you can drop what ever units you want out of the dropship. You could also control this dropship and it makes one enormous Weapon, which makes the game very diverse. This game looks like its going to be a great game. I usually don't even post things but after seeing this game and the potential it has, i think it's going to be a great game.. And i hope people will support this game so we can all play online. =)

Summary: it is a good game
Review: i think that ground control was a great game i liked it, because it was realistic. corparations waring, end or the world , etc. this ought to be a good game. I expect the story line will be good as ground control was a cliff hamger but i for one am expecting alot. I hope that this doesn't turn into a starship troopers two type of sequal because that was a really bad movie. The controls on ground control were the best i had seen in a while, it is 3D unlike a lot of games that use strategy that i have seen and i hope that you try this game, and anyway if it sucks you can allways sell it online, people will by anything there

Summary: Ground Control 2: RTS Evolved
Review: The original Ground Control was
simply the best Tatical RTS I ever played. Now, Ground Control 2 has come.
With it's state-of-the-art graphics, stunning gameplay and shocking story, GC2 is the Tactical RTS of 2004.
GC2 is unlike a conventional RTS because it focuses on your units, strategy and tactics are a must.
There is no base building involved, however. I look forward to it's release.
