Summary: Ski Resort Tycoon Rocks!
Review: If you like skiing, this will be a great game for you!Building lifts, Building slopes, and Buildings. But I don't own the game... Yet! I'm getting it as soon as I can!I've played it for an hour the first time. Anybody would like this game!

Summary: It's OK
Review: It talkes about a day to tire of this game. It has some interesting ideas, but can easily be mastered by anyone with any sim experience. The graphics are good, not great. I guess my biggest complaint is that it is very predictable and there are no surprises. The concept is a good start. Like real Ski resorts, they should require designing summer activities as well. Have said that, I still was glued to the computer for 8 hours and I will go back and play it once in a while. The code is questionable as I have had 2-3 times times when the screen freezes up.

Summary: Bad Graphics, Bad gameplay, Bad Everything!!!
Review: Maybe a little kid would enjoy this but for a hard core fan of other tycoon games like rollercoaster tycoon stay far away. The slow mouse pointer and the dos like graphics don't turn me on. Unless you are dying to design a ski resort, look elsewhere. There are plenty of other tycoon games that will be coming out soon that are bound to be far better then this! Trust me! If you are a serious gamer don't buy this!

Summary: This game stinks!
Review: My disappointment started buying the software! It felt like there was nothing in the box. It comes with no instruction manual, no warrenty card, nothing except the cd-rom. When I first played the software I got an ilegal operation screen about ten times before I got the software to start. Once I got it started, the software runned very, very slow, sometimes it would freeze! When I got the game to start to work (after about a hour) the game ended up being no fun! You can build things (but limited quanities) then I just gave up and felt like I wanted to return the software, but I couldn't because I had already opened the box, and it came with no warrenty card. Don't buy this software. It stinks!

Review: My problem with this and other games by Activision is the graphics. I can't tailor it to make it the size I want, and the graphics also are not quite to my taste. Your mileage will vary, of course.

Summary: Not As Good As other Tycoon Games...
Review: Not As Good As other Tycoon Games but is very addicting if you have a computer over 300mhz. The ski and building cams are really cool, but if you have a slow computer, it will crash your game!! The people move and their body parts (Not all of them - lol!) too!! Summary: Ski on the slopes of FUN!
Review: Ski Resort Tycoon is a fun game once you get the hang of it. You start out with a mountain and different quantitties of money. (depending on which level)You can name people. (but can't design them)You can see your visitors feelings by a thought bubble above their head. The thought bubble only shows up every now and then, but it displays a face that can be anxious, mad, happy etc. When they are hungry it shows a hamburger. You can build a number of bathrooms, restraunts, lodges, hotels, rentals etc. They even have a cinema. In order to buy a building you must have enough money and certain buildings already built. Its hard to find out the main goal, but I think it is to become a 5 star resort. Every once in a while there is an avalanche! The avalanches break buildings (that can be repaired if you hire repairers) and if some skiers don't get help fast enough (if you hire an EMS person) they die. When they die the family might sue you. This game does take a while to load, but the game makes up for it!

Summary: A fun game - possibly as good as skiing??
Review: Ski Resort Tycoon is a very fun game and it has had me playing for quite a few hours.
Whilst some of the management games seem a bit pointless, no-one can deny that building your own ski resort is bound to be fun!
You can build the guest accomodation, the ski runs, the ski lifts plus many shops and attractions to keep the guests happy. You can even play god and change the shape of the mountains!
There are many great features of the game, such as a rating as to how good your ski resort is (eg. 5 star rating) plus many graphs to keep you on top of finances and other statistics.
If you like management titles, get it - and if you like skiing, check it out too. Don't expect a ground breaking title, but if you're looking for a good, fun game, this could be the right game.
