Summary: A good game if you're bored to death.
Review: I bought this game for twenty dollars. All that came in the box was the cd in a paper envlope. I expected that for such a cheap game. The game came loaded with different buildings, ski lifts, and other structures. Only problem is that to unlock the better buildings, you need to build the more basic structures first. This may seem okay. Its the driving force in the game, but it takes forever to get the good buildings. You start off with $50,000 in easy mode. Building a few building and a ski lift will put you into debt. Now its time to make money. It'll take you at least half an hour to make $10,000 back, and then you spend that money on a new condo and your back in debt. Graphics are good, but the music is horrible. You can only hear it when you zoom out. Overall, turn the game on, leave town for a few days, and then you'll have enough money to play.

Review: I bought this game with the expectation of it being like Roller Coaster Tycoon. I was wrong.

In Roller Coaster Tycoon there are many campaigns at different parks you can do. You get new rides and stuff through R&D. I expected the same in this game. Instead, I found it had 5 campaigns (all which were pretty easy...), not much building variety, and not that fun.

This is just my opinion. Instead of getting this game, I suggest "The Sims" or "Roller Coaster Tycoon" to you.

Review: I find this game appealing to the player because I wish that I had owned a Ski Resort in real life. I like this game more than other simulation games like Activitions other game Golf Tycoon. The game grabed me and pulled me in with it's exciting game play. But one thing to work on is the graphics. It's an older game and at that time that was good graphics, but hopefully Ski Resort Tycoon 2 will be even better. Other than that it is one heck of a game.

Review: I got this game for Christmas and I thought it was going to be great, because I loved Roller Coaster Tycoon. This game, however, is not nearly as good as RCT. I hated it! The little hand was really hard to control and there didn't really seem to be a purpose to the game. What you had to do was build buildings, and most of the buildings required a less expensive building on the resort to be built before the building you wanted could be built. You couldn't look in the buildings or anything. Save your money on this one, it's not worth spending on. Buy something that can let you have more control, if that's what you like. This is only a good game if you want to just see the little buildings placed around and watch skiers ski, but you can't build much yourself or anything. I think Roller Coaster Tycoon, or The Sims, or Sim City would all be better alternatives to Ski Resort Tycoon.

Review: I had a problem about memory for like 2 seconds until the updates were downloaded for the game, and Wha La! I actually PLAYED the game before reviewing it and found it to be very entertaing for a low budget game.

Summary: Worst Sim Game I ever played
Review: I love all the other sim business games I have played. Railroad Tycoon (the original) for starters. If you like the original RR Tycoon you could probably tolerate lots of bad games out there. Not this one. My mouse cursor hardly moved, it took forever to actually be able to click on an option, because the arrow was skipping around never going on the object I was trying to select (zooming in did help some, but it was still a pain).

The items cost too much money, growth is slow. You cannot build things fast. You sit there and wait until you have enough money so you can buy some dumb thing so your guests won't leave. Forget trying to make a cool slope, you're busy trying to keep a few guests in the resort by building heaters and condos. I turned the resort on, and left the computer on for a while, and did other things. I came back in a few hours and was able to buy some stuff for about 5 minutes and went back to other things.

I don't think I'll ever play it again. I played it for about two days and I can't stand it.

No, you cannot "compete" with other parks, like in Theme Park, or RR Tycoons. You're there all by yourself with a stupid ski resort listening to crappy music.

Review: I think this game is awsome because you build all of the things that are at ski resorts. You can build lifts,gondolas,and much more. the grahics are awsome. The game is very cheap. If you don't like it you are not throwing away a lot of money. In easy mode you start out with 50,000 dollars. You can spend it fast if you are gredy. I foyu like this one try airport tycoon.

Review: I've played this game at a friends house, and it is very fun. I look forward to buying my own copy soon. I'm an experienced skier, and I find the people and situations on this game very amusing. Also, making the game work out on a limited budget is challenging. Buy this game, it's great!
