Review: This game is kind-of a joke for what it promises. The interface is VERY confusing and yet the graphics so simple. The guest intelligence is very stupid level.I really played it once, cause it dosen't work on one of my computers (it crashes!) Not recommended to buy. Try a free online demo. They have those for nearly any game. Be forewarned not to expect what the box will tell you, or the ads, because it just dosen't stack up.

Summary: Don't waste your money like I did
Review: I saw Mall Tycoon in a store one day, and it looked intriguing. I have enjoyed SimCity and RollerCoaster Tycoon, so I thought this would be a good choice. I was quite wrong. Mall Tycoon was one of the worst game purchases I have ever made. The game is fun for less than half an hour. The gameplay is the same thing over and over again. Build stores, get people to come to the stores, build some more stores, get some more people. There is little variety in the different stores you can build, and the less-than-stellar graphics didn't improve my opinion of the game. Placing stores and different objects in the mall is an awkward and difficult process. Every mall looked like the next, and there was nothing unique that made you want to continue playing. This game was a total loss. I uninstalled it shortly after buying it, and it has sat in a far corner of my closet ever since. If you buy this game, you will regret it.

Summary: A bit disappointing... and buggy... but still kinda fun
Review: I've read all of these reviews from people who seem to be screaming mad over this game. Chill out, people! Yes, this game is not exactly up to par as far as graphics and play are concerned, but I'm an adult and I still had fun playing around with it. Will I spend all my free time playing? Probably not. But it kept me happy for a Saturday afternoon.
One of my biggest complaints about this game would be bugs. The websites for Mall Tycoon and Mall Tycoon 2 aren't loading at all, so I don't know if there are patches anywhere to be found. Besides the low-quality graphics (which honestly don't bother me that much), I have a problem with janitors and security getting stuck. Punks and robbers seem to be getting stuck, too. It's funny... I built a 2nd floor to my mall but didn't have enough money to put much up there... just flooring. Later on I went to build stores up there and there were like 10 robbers and 3 or 4 punks stuck up there!! No way to get rid of them, either...
If you're a big mall fan and don't mind a few little quirks, you might want to try this game out as a rental or find it on discount somewhere. I definitely wouldn't pay full price considering the quality... but like I said, I found it still somewhat enjoyable.
