Review: This game has been around for quite a while. It is a on going game that has up dated additions from time to time. I feel that there are enough variations to keep me interested for years to come online and off. Looking to rule the world? Then this is the game for you.

Summary: The most addictive game you will ever play
Review: This game is absolutely wonderful. I can't think of how anyone could make another game of the same genre that would rival it. You begin way back at the dawn of man. You have just villagers & clubmen. From there, you size up & use your assets to your best advantage; villagers can chop wood for houses & buildings, mine gold for $$$$, mine stone for lookout towers, fish, hunt, build stuff and...oh my.The strategy of this game is what makes it so intoxicatingly good. This is not a game where you can just go out, play it a couple times & have it completely mastered. You must learn how to use your assets to your best advantage & how to defend your village(s) against invasion. Otherwise, you will be destroyed. With every mission comes new technology. You can build heavy infranty units, calvary, naval armadas, war elephants, catapults, priests....and the list goes on and on. The Gold edition also has the Roman Empire scenarios which offer a few more neat tidbits such as camel riders and Fire galleys. The only slight precaution I would have for anyone is to stay away from making stone throwers on the Rome version. They are next to useless. Even when you have gone thru all the scenarios for this game you're STILL not done. You can have random scenarios constructed for you by the computer and then there are the death matches (impossible if you pick 7 armies against you). You can also play the game on-line against friends at the website (although you need a fast modem for this). The fun goes on & on! So, if you like strategy games, this is one of the very best, hands down. Build cities, make them into empires and conquer all the known world. I can't recommend this game highly enough.

Summary: Age of Empires
Review: This game is fun for a while, esp. if you are head-to-head with someone, but after a while it can get kind of dull. The villagers are just about the stupidest people you'd ever see! You can send them off to kill antelope and they will kill every antelope in the immediate area and then bring back the meat, but once all the antelope are dead and all the meat has been collected, they stand staring at the ground and don't go back to the village, so you have to go get them. As well, they aren't smart enough to walk around trees. They just walk into them and keep walking on the spot. It's a good strategy game but it kind of gets boring.

Summary: VERY FUN WORTH BUYING
Review: THIS GAME IS GREAT. The graphics are perfect. this game is real fun cause you can play over the zone against other pepz....warning: this game is REAL boreing against the computer. There are seige wepons that are good and annoys the opponent but you most likely will not use much of it but the computer over does it. that is really the only thing i can think of that is bad about this. what is real good about this game is that the gameplay is easy and fun..you feel like you never want to stop,(well that is an other case if you are playing the comp) the campignes are fun but i really dont care for them. they seem to be just something to add for pepz to think the game is not stupid for not having something for you learn how the tribe rose to be a empire.if you are a fan of red alert you will probably like it. the only thing deffrent between the two is that one is all out action and haveing no economical strategy what so ever and that it is not in ancient times. age of empires is a mix of an econmical game and a milatay strategy game. over all this game is real fun(remeber the game is FUN
WHEN PLAYIN ON THE ZONE but is awful against the computer)

Summary: AOE just didnt mix
Review: This game is medicore. At first it seems good, but after a while, you get more and more things happening to you. Certian comp. allies always turn on you. The graphics are okay. the sound is something that you will turn off and listen to a CD instead. The controls are ok, and all together everything is fine, it just doesnt mix at all. You will soon leave it on you stack of computer games and will play more dencent games like Starcraft. i havnt played it in at least a month, and you shouldnt waste your hard earned cash for it. the history is great and makes sense, but after a space you get sick of all the same units; 14 civilazations all only 1 tech tree. They just make certian Civs. not able to get some units. Its sad. Now if youll excuse me, i have a good game to play called Total Annihilation. . .

Review: This game is the crem dela crem. Starting with villagers who hit people with bones to massive catapults.If your looking for a game which will make you laugh and looking for detail you wont be soory you bouht this soperb game.

Summary: Good game for an old game
Review: This game was one of my favorite games for a LONG time after I got it. The missions are good and it's very easy to play. The only big error is the fact that the population is limited to 50.

Review: This game wipes out all other strategy games. The best thing about Gold edition is that you can choose from main game, scenario, random map,death match,also if you want you can build your own scenario with scenerio builder. Another thing about this game is you get the original game and the expanion which you can play either. I WOULD RECCOMEND YOU BUY THIS GAME IF YOU LOVE STRATEGY GAMES, OR IF YOUR JUST LOOKING FOR A GOOD GAME.

Summary: An entertaining game!
Review: This is one addictive game as has been brought out, I can play this game for hours and lose total track of the time (which can be a problem sometimes <g>). The game has the benefit of having the ability to be diffrent the next time you play. The ability to set up random scenerios adds to the gameplay and to the value of the game in general. The age of empires expansion does add to the game and is worth the extra money. This is because it allows for even more gameplay for a little more money which makes it worth the cost. This is a great game and a great job by its creators!
