Summary: The Game that has it all
Review: With excellent themes, great rides, and perfectly lifelike people, this game gives you great control of about thirty different scenarios. Each has different objectives and tasks, creating a varied amount of skill needed to compliete each one. Besides roller coasters, you can build everything that a good theme park needs, from a monorail to a go-kart track. Though the main objective of the game is to beat all the scenarios, there is always something new to discover and perfect. Building, not just selecting, rides is one of those things. As you advance everything gets more and more difficult. I think that the way that you can see the thoughts of your guests is a clever and interesting touch. I would highly reccomend this game.

Summary: You will keep beggin' for just one more scenario
Review: This is the kind of game that you finish, leave on the shelf, come back a couple of months later and still sticks you to your computer. One of the best features is that the level of difficulty in the game improves in each scenario in a way that you won't notice when you turn into a rollercoaster expert. The game has excellent features like the vomiting visitors, merry-go-round that goes crazy,bladder-happy costumers, and the most awesome assortment of rollercoasters at the disposal of your creativity. It also has a great investigation-money management feature (Should I get a gentle ride for calming my queasy visitors or should I get a food stand that gets me more money for less investing?). If you have the money, buy it. And if you don't have the money I promise you that it will pay itself for your lack of apetite while playing these game.

Summary: RCT Is Fantastic!
Review: It's quite funny really, because I was in the USA [I live in Canada] in the summer and I saw an ad for the game. I mentioned it to my dad, and he said he saw it for something like $25.00 back at home. When he bought it for me, I immediately launched into a playing spree [my sis was at camp for a week], and I realized this was a kick-ass game. The game has some really interesting rides and themeing. my fave parts are when I get a new ride I've never gotten, or when I get some cool new themeing. I used to have the original Theme Park game, and RCT is a 3d panoramic version, w/ a few things added and missing. I HIGHLY Reccommend getting the Expansion pack, as it gives you some really cool options and fun stuff. Plus, more new themeing and rides! I'm not a big fan of the scenerios in the RCT Expansion pack though. Building a rollercoaster is very frustrating at first, I still just practice in Forest Frontiers then save my design, if it's good. There are a few tiny frustrations, like trying to fix the volume then getting booted out of the game...But it's still tons of fun. I went back to the first desert park and redid it. I bought all of the land and had about 20 rollercoasters [which I downloaded from the RCT website.] This is a GREAT GAME and it's highly reccommended!

You also can build food and drink stands, information kiosk, balloon stalls and more.It has good grafics and life like guests. You can make gardens of trees and flowers. And as you play you recieve diffrent types of scenery, rides and awards.aaaaaand the more you decorate your park the higher up your park rating goes. Summary: Ouch To Sim Theme Park
Review: I got this little guy the day it came out in the summer. I don't know if its been laziness that kept me from writing a review, or just the fact that everybody already knows this game rules. First the bad stuff, the graphics kinda... well they aren't on par with current games, but its not like its gonna turn you off from this game, if it does than youv'e got some problems. This game is also EXTREMELY addictive. You'll play it everyday for hours on end, but once you beat it or run low of energy, you'll want to burn it at the stake. Yes, after you log in about 200 hours you will start to hate the game and never want to see it again, but after a few months, you will return to the wimsicle world that is RCT. The game is like every other sim game, build the rides, advertise, get the cash, get bigger rides. Your laid out with missions to accomplish in the alloted time limit, so no sluffin' off here. You soon get bigger rides and better add-ons to your rides. You need to hire people to research rides, watch the park and yes, scoop up the throw-up of your more queasy guests. Sure, Sim Theme Park may look a little nicer, but RTS has the man meat were it counts, and thats in pure fun.

Summary: THE FUNNEST GAME EVER!
Review: I had to be pulled away from this game, it is that addicting. Without question the best game i've ever played, so interesting, involving, fascinating, enjoying, everything. This game rules. It provides hours, days, weeks of entertaining pleasure, creating, operating, controlling a roller coaster park. You do it all in this game and it's challenging to keep up. Start from scratch and build from the ground up, it's tough to do but you get a set amount to work with and go from there. Once you start building roller coasters, amusement rides, bathrooms, water rides, concession stands, it's on, the funs starting. And it's all cool, you can charge people a dollar to go to the restroom, pay hefty to get into park and then charge to go on rides it's so much fun. But the coolest thing i ever did was i adjusted the speed of a coaster one time, and when it came in it crashed killing everyone on board. It was so funny, and guess what i got sued! Killer game, everyone will enjoy it.

Summary: More fun than cotton candy...
Review: If laughter is the best medicine, then cure your blues with this game. Lose yourself in the fun of being the top dog at your own amusement park. With a little logic and creativity, you will be successful... but don't think the game is silly or too easy... this one can be a challenge... and don't forget the expansion pack!

Summary: Wonderful, deep, and addicitve: one of the best RTS games !
Review: It's tough to find a good strategy game these days. The shelves actually good, so how sweet it was to find Roller Coaster Tycoon. Finally, an RTS (that's Real-Time Strategy if you're wondering) game that doesn't involve "gather resources, build 45 tanks, rush enemy base". This game design is executed so near-perfect and is so fun that I can't even imagine giving it lower than five stars, despite a few flaws. First of all, the interface is very easy to use. I was able to start playing in only a few minutes with out reading the manual or doing the in-game tutorial. The graphics appear a bit dated, but are colorful and quite detailed. Every aspect of your park can be micromanaged down to the placement of garbage cans up to the consrtuction of each individual piece of a new coaster. However, once you're up and running, the park will mostly run itself, letting you concentrate on the more fun aspects, like ride construction. Unfortunately, the game's biggest draw is it's biggest flaw. Coaster construction is a blast when it's done right but can be frustrating at times. You put the coaster together piece by piece, and once it's there' it's there until you demolish it. The problem with this is, of course, you can't actually PLAN what the coaster will look like, nor do you have any idea whether or not it will have enough inertia to carry itself over the next hill. Nothing hurts more than putting a new monster through a test run and having to re-adjust the whole thing since it wouldn't go over the next hill! Okay, okay, it sounds awful but with a little practice, scratch that, ALOT of practice, you'll get it down and really be able to enjoy one of the most fun and addictive PC games ever. Highly, highly recommended.
