Rating: Summary: I have had it a year and it is still my favorite Review: Well, Roller Coaster Tycoon is the BEST game ever! Not only does it have lasting appeal, and awesome strategy, and it is fun to play but i mean guys......... YOU BUILD A THEME PARK! Now how much cooler can it get than that? Huh? Well I personally don't think much. I have had this game a whole year in June I think and it is the coolest game I have ever played. I don't think that anyone that likes simulator games should not have this one. I give it 5 out of 5 stars and recomend this game to everyone and anyone!
Rating: Summary: The best Sim Management game around Review: This game takes sim games to another level. It eats on Theme Park and Them Park World. You have TOTAL control of your environment and you can build BIG and I mean BIG rollacosters! The levels are well laid out with different scenarios. You dont build every park from scratch. To win a level you have to use a combination of Park Value, Number of Customers, Money in and Happiness of customers. The rides are great and there are no bugs that I have seen. The add on pack is great and there are hundreds of extra rides etc at the web site. The best is an Alton Towers scenario which is so similar to the real thing! This is a hughely addictive game. I bet if you start playing it you wont stop til you finish! If you like any sim management game then buy this one!
Rating: Summary: RCT (Roller Coaster Tycoon) ROCKS! Review: yo! I have had RCT already for 2 months and I still think it is the COOLEST game I have and have ever had. All my friends that come over and play it immediately go out and buy it. so you should too. It has great graphic designs and you can even see what your costumers have to say by pressing on them. Also it is so realistic because your costumers can even be hungry, needing to goto the bathroom, and if worst comes to worst then they can also drown. I LOVE RCT!
Rating: Summary: Woe........Taken by storm by this game Review: You know, when i first saw this i thought it looked like Sim City, which i think is a ok game but it gets so boring and after a while it gets dumb. But I went over to my neighbor's house and saw Roller Coaster Tycoon for the first time. Its awesome. I'm Going to probably have to force myself to stop playing it though because its so addicting. You just always want to add more on to your park and get more guests. In the game your given levels. Each level has a challenge. They give you a certain amount of money, (sometimes you can add on loans), and a certain amount of time to get so many guests and have a certain rating for your park. In the ride department you can choose from either pre-packaged things or build your own roller coaster's, trains, monorails, log flumes, and more. You can also add restaurants and mostly anything you can have in a theme park. Also, if you keep a level for a certain amount of time you get more attractions and rides and restaurants. The roller coasters range from regular wooden, to steel, to one support steel, and any roller coaster you can think of, its awesome. It may be a strategy game, But its better than any shooter or RPG that i've ever played. BUY IT!
Rating: Summary: Extremely Addictive Review: My brother brought this game from Colorado to Oregon to play on his vacation at our house. I bought the game the next day. A friend came over to visit and played the game for an afternoon - she bought the game before she went home that evening. One of the best sim games out there! Except for the flushing. All the bathroom flushing can drive you mad.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful game...period Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon is a delightful game. It combines two aspects of theme-park building-architectural planning and financial management-and somehow makes it fun. You will spend hours double checking to see how many french fries were sold in stall #1, and you'll LIKE it. While you can always put a ride into the game with just a few clicks, virtually every ride is customizable; some of them (such as the roller coasters and log flumes) can suck up hours of time, if you let them. There are problems with the game. Since you cannot design while the game is paused, often you will be distracted from the all-important task of designing the Great American Coaster by such piddling issues as lost customers or complaints on cleanliness. The lack of such staples as arcades and skee-ball is lamentable. Also, the victory conditions from the scenarios do not allow you to win early; in other words, it will say something like "Get a park value of 1200 by year 4." If you get the park rating in the middle of year 2, you still have to wait out the extra year and a half in order to win. Since winning a scenario makes other available, this sometimes led to periods of tedium while I waited out the ending. These flaws do detract from the enjoyability of the game, but it is still one of the most delightful games on the market. Definitely not to be missed!
Rating: Summary: Roller Coaster Tycoon is a Smash Hit! Review: Not only do you make roller coasters, but you make everything that goes into a theme park. Patheways, rides, landscaping etc. Plus you have everything from garbage cans, to benches, to entertainers, and security gaurds. But there is so much more, I've been playing it for weeks now and Im still not bored! Have fun and Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Pennies per hour! Review: How often can you be entertained for pennies an hour! Rollercoaster Tycoon is just that sort of game. When combined with the expansion pack, you'll spend days just finding out all the different things you can design. Not only coasters, but log flumes, water slides, race tracks, train rides and more. Take a financial standpoint and make your park a huge moneymaker, or have it just eke out an existence with every ride under the sun, the decision is yours. Get hundreds or thousands of customers milling around, and since you can even name them, follow a particular person and see what makes him/her happy. Add a website full of building scenarios and other interesting tidbits and... well it just keeps on going. This game merges realism and fun until you can't see the line between them. A must for anyone who has ever loved a day at the amusement park.
Rating: Summary: Oh My! Review: When my husband was staying up until 2 in the morning playing this game I thought, What is going on? How could building roller coasters be that interesting? I thought that this was just a game where you constructed roller coasters and got to see if they worked or not. (Like a virtual reality type of thing) Boy was I wrong. I decided yesterday that I would see what had this grown man so occupied. Well, before I knew it I had been building my own theme park for 4 hours! Talk about addicting. The game is just so much fun and so much more than I expected. It is more than constructing roller coasters. You have to manage an entire theme park, keep people happy, keep them dry when it rains, all kinds of stuff. I love it because my park is far more succesful that my husband's is. The game is challenging too. You really have to keep up with it or things can get out of hand. I highly recommend this game. I can't imagine anyone not getting totally and completely addicted to it.
Rating: Summary: What a Game! Review: RCT is the best game I have in my collection of games. I wanted this game the moment I even heard about it! This game has some pretty fancy scenarios and cool rollercoaster designs. This is the perfect game for anyone who likes games! Buy it!
