Rating: Summary: Worth the addiction Review: This game is incredible! I am in competition with my 11 and 9 year old sons for the best theme park. So far, they are in the lead. I stay up after they go to bed to try to beat them. This is a great game for youngsters and adults. It beats the blood and guts of many other games. The thrill really is becoming the tycoon. I highly reccommend this game for anyone. If you have the time and desire to find and explain to the youngsters about some minor grammatical errors, the game is even more worthwhile.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Game Ever! Review: This game is seriously addicting! You play for hours without noticing the time - that is how much fun it is! I never saw such a creative game! You get to design your own amusement park and the fun part is you have goals to achieve. It's awesome - you have people throwing up, laughing, complaining etc. You actually get feedback from your interactive customers! You won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: Addictive... totally addictive Review: This is by far the most addictive game I've played in years. I love the attention to detail and the authentic -feel- of being in an amusement park. Luckily, I have more than one computer. If I didn't, my husband would never have a chance to play his games! My only complaint is with the spelling errors seen throughout the game. For example, there is repeated misuse of the word "it's" when "its" was called for, and other words, such as "tidiest" have been misspelled ("tidyest"). This may seem like a minor issue, but it caused me to change my mind about purchasing another copy to give to a young relative. Overall, though, I -highly- recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Addicting Review: With a huge amount of scenarios and even more if you get the expansion pack, this will keep you entertained for hours. Just be careful desigining the coasters. I built one that had an intensity of 17+ and had you pulling 5 lat. g's. There's definitely a learning curve, but it's fun.
Rating: Summary: A Gem among Gems Review: Being rather new to computers, I was skeptical at first when purchasing this game, however I was pleasantly suprised. Once you sit down at your computer you never want to get up. Whether you are new to computers or a computer pro you are guided through the various aspects as you advance along each level. Also you have simply got to purchase The Corkscrew Follies Game to interface with the original. With both games in tow, you can count on plenty a sleepless night ahead.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Amusement Park Review: It's my favorite game. I could play it day in and day out but my parents won't let me. I hardly ever get bored of it, but when I do, it's because I'm not building anything. Mostly for the reason that I'm out of money or out of room. I think it teaches me some things, but my mom doesn't. It teaches you problem solving like when your building a ride or path, how to manage money (Which I have a problem doing because I borrow way too much money at the beginning.) and how to just keep your guests happy. I think it's good for second graders on up. There are some things that could be better but allin all I really recomnd it.(It's a starting to architecture if your interested in architecture like I am.)
Rating: Summary: THe BEst GAme Ever Review: Last week I went to Six Flags in Massachusettes. When I got there, the first thing popped into my head was Rollercoaster Tycoon. I was practically pointing out the same rollercoasters that were at Six Flags and in Rollercoaster Tycoon. And when some of the rollercoasters were going up to get ready to go down a big drop, you could hear the belts as they were going up, the same with Rollercoaster Tycoon. And when the people dropped you could hear them all scream, and same with Rollercoaster Tycoon. I love this game. And they also have the ride called Scream, at Six Flags and they also have that ride on Rollercoaster Tycoon. This game is great because it teachers you how to keep your guests happy, how to have reasonable pricing on rides, food, and the park enterance, and how to keep your park clean, by highering handymen to do it. Also to higher machanics to fix the rides. This game is the best game and I have both rollercoaster games. This game is a MUST get.
Rating: Summary: The Best Computer Game Ever Review: RollerCoaster Tycoon is the best computer game ever, in my opinion. Unlike SimCity, there is action, and you get to see what you build in use. You can custom design more than just roads, too. There is a ton of excitement and most of the time when I'm playing I'm only a couple inches from the computer screen. It's always fun to get new scenarios and rides, and you can do that .... This is the best game I have ever played.
Rating: Summary: Truly the best! Review: I bought this game a long time ago and it's really great. The onlydraw back is you get so addicted and spend a lot of time on it. It's really fun, has amazing graphics, and you'll enjoy making your own roller coasters....it's a blast to design your own and see how people react to it. Anyway, everyone should invest in this program because it's great and every time i'm on it i have to ask myself how the technitions came up with it. It's brilliant...you'll have lots of fun with it.
Rating: Summary: Very Addictive! Review: What do I have to say. Hmmm...Well first, my sister, who is 22, when she saw this game, she thougt it was pretty stupid. Then I asked her "What should I name the rides?" From that point to about 5 hours later she said that this was one of the most funnest games she has ever played, and she HATES video games! I know that that is her opinion, but I would have to go with it too. Rollar Coaster Tycoon is one of those games where you can get so frustrated over it and 5 minutes later you have forgotten what just happened. Your eyes are so glued to the computer that it would hurt just to pull them out and stop. Sure, the graphcs aren't the coolest in the world, but they are VERY, VERY detailed! This game has got practically anything a real amusement park has. You name it, that game has it!It's strategic placement makes it a very long game! I have had it for over a year and I haven't finished it. It's landscapes range from the biggest size to the smallest, and I do mean smallest, sizes. People have feelings, expressions, actions, comments that you would never expect they would have. I don't even want to get into the rides! But there is such a variety to do that you just have to try it! I am not persuading you or anything, but give it a try and I guarantee you, there will be something in that game that you would have never expected in it.
