Summary: As good as it gets
Review: A good strategy game, everything you expect to have is there, though I would have like to coordinate the battles away from more closely, rather than send troops and wait for the result.
Worth the price.

Summary: Excellent City-Building Simulation
Review: Acropolis is a compilation product that includes both Zeus and the Poseidon "expansion pack" for Zeus. These "City Building Simulations" allow you to build your own mythical Greek city from the ground up. If you are trying to decide between the Zeus or Pharaoh series, Acropolis makes the decision easy for you. Pharaoh (and its expansion pack, Cleopatra) is a harder series than Zeus, requiring more micromanagement, more attention to detail, and more patience. Zeus, by contrast, is a more forgiving game. It's a lot easier to just jump right in and build a city. Roadblocks work better than ever before and your citizens aren't quite as stupid as they were in Pharaoh or especially in the Caesar series. And Zeus, for all its graphic beauty, should run quite well on slower computers (i.e. even some Pentium II systems) as well as today's faster PCs. Acropolis is quite a lot of entertainment for the price.

Summary: Acropolis-great grafix, great sound, realistic, GREAT FUN!!!
Review: Acropolis is a great buy. I personally bought Zeus & Poseidon seperatly, but this is a much better deal. If you have not played one of sierra/impresssions joint city buildind series games you should. I own all of them and their expansions, and they are the best. They score high w/ the friends, too. They are outstanding and amazingly fun. However, I tell you straight out you will be hooked and it will be hard to share. If you have ever played Pharoah, Cleopatra(Pharoah's Expansion), or Caeser (I, II, or III) this is close, but much more focused on the mythology of ancient greece. You interact w/ gods, heroes ,and monsters. Just to tell you a bit more, Acropolis is just the CDs of Zeus + Posedion. By the way, visit the Christian Music section and check out my review for Shine...The Hits by Newsboys.

Summary: Very Very Addictive
Review: Acropolis is such an addictive game. I keep playing it for hours at end ... at a stretch of about 8 - 10 hours at times. Well to tell u the truth it is not all that good. U get bugged at times building the same old buildings again n again n again. The aesthetic structures are cool though. What really keeps u going are the gods and building their monuments.
As soon as I bought the game I started playing the scenarios. They don't have specific goals to deal with like the adventures. They are pretty easy and it's all up to u to build your utopia. The open sandboxes are really cool n take up hours n hours of my time. I still am trying to build that perfect dream city.
What I like most in the game is the part played by the gods. They provide a sight for sore eyes as they roam around the streets of your city. So far my favorite gods are Aphrodite, Hephaestus and Dionysus. I have yet to encounter Atlas, Apollo and Poseidon.
I really was frustrated at one point in the game when I was asked to build a hall to Theseus. Well I had met with all the possible requirements to send for Theseus to my city except that I couldn't figure out how the hall is supposed to be protected by walls. I tried placing walls around the hall in all possible ways n yet found no solution. I even went through the manual. I just had to ignore the god's request.
If u really want to enjoy this game my advice to u is that don't make a habit of playing it continuously for hours. You'll possibly get tired of it.

Summary: Th Acropolis Pack, or just Zeus, is the best game ever!
Review: Acropolis is the best game ever. You could just by Zeus first and then get Poseidon, but I reccomend the the Acropolis Pack because it includes the two games and it is a lot cheaper then buying the two seprately... Anyways let me get down to the review which will start in the next paragraph.
The game is addicting and makes you want to keep playing for hours on end... The graphics are pretty good and the sound is okay, but the gameplay is excedingly good. It is pretty much a Sim City combined withe Ages of Empires. I recommend this pack to anyone who loves Greek mythology; it is loaded with it. I won't tell you anything about the levels because you will have to find ou about that youreself, but I will tell you will probably being hereing more f me in the future. Thank you, good night!!!

Summary: Travel through time to play the greatest game of all time
Review: From the neverending epoch rises another game which enchants you to entertainment so deep that even doom coundnt have impressed me so much when it was first unleashed in the gaming market.Zeus is a game which tells you about rise and fall of ancient Greece and in such a manner that even the greatest of historians coundnt have told better (with some exceptions 'ahem').You play as a sort of mayor of a city. You have to build ur city towards a glorious metropolis.Keep ur gods contended ur people well fed ur enemies at bay and ur allies happy with u and you'll earn the approval and admiration of both gods and mortals alike.Mis manage Your city misunderstand your citizens and bribe incoming enemies and watch ur city burn and break by the hands of gods and mortals alike.Supply ur wealthy citizens with armor and horses and get ready to conquer distant territories and prove ur worth to ur rivals.War gaming was never so rewarding as Zues.
Imagine some drop sea ships unload a really biig army of minotaurs on your shores wat would u do.. bribe them or strike back and send them back limping to their territories ??at this moment if u wanna play offensive then u'll muster each and every unit u have for the battle cause. Either it would be long ranged slingers or heavy metal hoplites or legendiary heroes or mighty gods, its up to u how u wanna defeat ur enemies. Or u can play defensive and try to bribe the incoming armies, at that time they would leave but next time the bribery rate would be higher and this is a big disandvantage of bribing ur enemies.
The graphics, the involving storylne, and great game play adds to the games worth.Build great and beautiful sanctuaries for ur gods to earn thier approval and to yield its benifits, build heroes halls to attract heroes to help you in difficult tasks, and watch as gods bless ur city or blow it to smithereens. Its like a great combination of simcity with empire earth!!The game is a must buy for all who would like to know about the greatness of ancient Greece and to loose thier sleep playing the greatest city manegment+battle game title of all times. Dont wait a second Zeus is a must buy.

Summary: not for everyone
Review: good for the fantasy-inclined types. i prefer the games Caesar III, Pharaoh and the Cleopatra expansion, and Emperor... they're not exactly historically accurate, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: addictive
Review: i have played the previous title of Caesar and enjoyed it a lot. But, this series of Zeus and Poseidon hooked me totally. Not only is it a better city building experience but also the scenarios are much better. The ability ot mingle with heroes, gods, monster, etc. Simply superb.
You will start playing in the evening and realise it is 4am and you have to get some sleep. The graphics, sounds are very apt. On the humorous side are the names of the citizens, workers, soldiers, etc. They are names of famous people tweaked to sound greek. Cant give it 5 stars because it makes me avoid my real life.
