Review: every person whos obsessed with strategy games such as diablo,warcraft etc. after you play this game you will have another obsession!this game is the best! the graphics are almost like reality and the game play is spectacular.Altough the single player mode ain't that great its good practise for skills on battle.net top play with other players.

Review: This game is the coolest. I'm adicted to it. the expansion pack adds six new units, new maps and new techs. the terrans get the medic (a healer thats worth buying), and the valkrie(a ruler of the skys) The medic can heal ur units and restore them from parasite, ensare and other techs that can be annoying. The valkrie is a ship that is a air to air fighter. try this on groups of overlords. they launch a hail of mass missle that does serious splash damage. The protoss get the ability to get dark templers who are always cloaked and two can morph into dark archons. The dark archons have mind control. just imagine mind controling the lone scv and u can be protoss and terran. They also get the corsair which is an air to air fighter with disruption web. disruption web stops ground defenbses from attacking. The zerg get the lurker. the lurker can attack from under the ground. it send up kiuller spines in a row to totally desimate groung troops. They also get the devourer. the devourer is an air to air unit whos attacks slows down fireing rate of enemys(it also does damage) try the devourer on a battle cruiser.(he he he) u also get tons of new techs and more than 1 hundred new maps. maybe im wrong on the counting. :) so go out and kick [rear]!!!!!!!!

Review: If you think that StarCraft alone was fun, you won't believe how laim it is compared to the expansion. I doesn't change that much in normal gameplay, but if you like UMS Games(Use Map Settings) the expansion goes far out on it. The UMS Games didn't really start coming out until this was released. I have to say, if for some reason I couldn't play Brood War at all, I would sell StarCraft. Yup, thats right, StarCraft is nothing to me without Brood War. So get it NOW!

Review: I have never played a game this good. Unbelievable. This must be the best game of all time. Nothing compares, maybe orginal StarCraft but that is abou it. If i were you i would buy this game. Blizzard did a great job here making this game. All the new units rule. I would give it 6 stars if possible. Overall great game. Buy it.

Review: I've been a gamer for a long time, and I've played my share of strategy games. I still keep comming back to Starcraft for more. Three perfectly balanced and yet very different races battle it out. There's not too much micromanagement to kill you, but enough for you to feel a part of the race you're playing. I love to play the extra scenerios that they created for one time battles. You can modify them or even create your own from scratch. I just wish they had a random map maker. It would be easier then. You can, however, go online to Blizzard and download tons of scenerios that other gamers made. While the graphics aren't state of the art anymore they still are pretty nice. This game allows for both a strategic approach or the full rush type of battle. You have both land and air units and you harvest two types of materials (vespene gas & minerals) to build your structures and units. The campaigns are nice but after beating them twice I now just prefer to mix it up with the single scenerios. This is a must have of any strategy gamer who hasen't yet tried it. Brood War has some real nice upgrades that you will appreciate as well as the three new campaigns.

Review: This has the best multiplayer mode ever. U get to go on the internet n fight kids from all around the world. Single player is ok 2 but Multiplayer is the best.

Summary: A lot of fun
Review: This game is a lot of fun. The new units basically enhance the versatility of the game play. In single player missions, the protoss and terran missions are relatively easy. The zerg missions are little harder especially near the end. Some people I knew were not able to finish the last few zerg missions without using the cheat codes. So some skills are required for this. My favourite single player mission is Protoss level 8. I made mostly dark archons and captured the zerg units. Play this way if you have "a lot" of time. I captured something like 150 ultralisks, 100 lurkers, 300+ mutalisks (turned them into devourers and guardians), 50+ zerglings, 100+ overlords, 200+ hydralisks, and 50+ drones. By the end, the zergs will run out of resources and you can easily defeat them with your now quite "formidable" force. You can also play using strictly Protoss forces with carriers and archons etc., but it won't be as challenging. I love the multiplayer games as well. It is done best if you could have your partner's computer in the same room as you. Then the two of you could be virtually invincible (provided your partner is a good player as well).
Upside: it's a great game.
Downside: wasting too much time :(

Review: I just installed the "Brood War" expansion pack, and all I can say is "Oh, yeah.....bring it on." Brood War gives the StarCraft player(s) More Options, The Zerg (enemies) are even MORE Powerful < yikes ! > & the Terrans have Medics to help you survive....for a while. All the Upgrades are available on Battle.net, as well (user must D/L the Battle.net Upgrade, after installing the expansion pack, again). At start-up, the Player must choose between the original Starcraft, or the Brood War version.StarCraft is an Exciting, Stress-relieving Strategy Game--with Online, Multi-player options. This is not your typical "hack n slash" video game. Players must use Strategy, building skills / building repair, Upgrades, fast-paced fortification and building of a base.... relocation of "buildings," by flying them to new Energy Sources...and patience. Oh, and did I mention fending-off Nasty, Acid-Spitting, Demonic-looking Aliens, while you are *attempting* to build your fortifications ? Ready to Squash some "Bugs ?" IM your friends and go-online, with Battle.net (or, just meet people online, via Battle.net)--the Multiplayer option allows your friends to join you against the Computer, or each-other. This is Great stress relief, for after work & chores. This game is rated for "Teens," but nearly all the adults I know own a copy --plus, the "StarCraft: Brood War" expansion pack. If the product is from "Blizzard," it's all good !!! For the price, you simply cannot go wrong. If you love Strategy Games and you love blowing stuff up, StarCraft will become your new addiction. Soon, all of your "Gamer" friends will be IMing you, saying, "Ready to squash some Bugs ?!"
