Summary: Slash
Review: This is a great game with excellent graphics and story plot. In truth I only wish there were more eipsodes.

Summary: Why did they drop the female character?
Review: I have just cancelled my order for Elite Force II. I read the
website descriptions of the game and found out that you cannot
choose the sex of the main character. If the creators of this
"sequel" wish to market to only men, fine. I'm not a man.
Alexandra Munro needs to be placed back into the program.

Summary: DO NOT waste your money
Review: Although I am trekkie and purchased this game with high hopes, I was immensely disappointed. The only positive thing I can say about the game is that most of the graphics are impressive. (One notable exception: when characters' lips move when they are talking, it looks ridiculous and unrealistic.) Every other aspect of the game is horrendous. Gameplay is very slow, and you spend a lot of time just watching events unfold, in sickeningly slow speed, on the screen. The game even manages to make battles boring--you just instruct your tactician, with a series of mouse clicks, to attack, and he fires at the enemy ship for a good five minutes until it blows up. This relegates you to the role of observer rather than participant, which makes for a boring experience. Also, you do not have the ability to save during a mission, so if you make a mistake and fail a mission, you are doomed to repeat the entire boring experience. I strongly recommend against this game.

Summary: The Best Game ever
Review: The Best game you could ever get, even if you dont like star trek. I mean, even look at the guns, there awsome. Plus there's a ton of multiplayer game types like: capture the flag, Bomb placement, turn people into machines on the assimilation mode. And you get to go out side into space anf shoot things. Trust me its awsome. And whats cool is that there are tons of ways to get to something not just 1 like normal.

Summary: great games, great value
Review: There are 4 games in this pack. Two are first-person-shooter (FPS) games and two are real-time-strategy (RTS) games. The FPS games (Elite Force) are really only one game; if you install both games at once, you have to have the expansion disk for all game play (which is fine, but I was expecting to play one disk and then expand to the second one). I enjoyed the Elite Force games the most. The graphics and sounds are really good. The game play is easy to get used to (as are the controls). The selection menus are a little confusing and hard to read.

The RTS games are called Armada and Armada II. I didn't like the RTS games as much; I'm used to playing Dune and it really made sense; the Armada games are different and will take some getting used to. There are more controls than there needs to be and the screen is cluttered with several sub-screens (which can be turned on/off). The intermission sometimes appears to interupt game play rather than happening after a battle takes place (and the battles seem rushed sometimes...when I'd like to have a chance to explore the surroundings a little). If you like movie Dune and want to play a really fun RTS game, buy "Emperor: Battle for Dune".

The small disappointment is the lack of paper instruction manuals; there are online TXT and PDF files that come with the disks. You really can't beat the price for 4 games.

Summary: A poor excuse for a sequel...
Review: Overall, I well... strongly disliked this game. But, since I don't want to start the review on a negative note, here are the pros. Well let's see now... the game is virtually bug-free, the interface has been improved (although it is a bit complex), and many many new ships, stations, and two races have been added.
Now for the cons (insert "Taps" music). To put it bluntly, the single player is downright boring. On all the missions I found myself uncaring about the fate of my fleets and wondering why I was doing this. The good news is they have fewer capaigns than the first one, at a whoping 3. You can't even play with my personal favorites, the Romulans, except in multiplayer. Another definite, but seemingly minor, con is the new Borg voice. Apparently, the Activision executives thought the perfect Borg voice from the first game needed some "improvements", so they of course made it much worse. It sounds like something you'd expect out of a two year old or a mental patient. Thirdly, the Z axis. While the Z axis is hard to do well in games, Armada II's is well... bad. If your ships go too high or too low they disapear and are hard to find. Last, there can be too much of a good thing. There are way too many ships and stations to keep track of and most of them are useless. Some people have complained that the ships are too weak, and most are, except for the Borg's tactical fusion cube. This thing can decimate entire bases in an instant. While that may sound fun, it gets old fast.
In conclusion, take my advice and don't get this game. Get Armada I or Bridge Commander, which are much better. Once again, the folks over at Activision have proven that resistance is futile (whatever that means). I give Star Trek Armada II a disapointing 2 out of 5.

Summary: This Could Have Been Better
Review: For starters, for those of you who want to try, this game does not install on Intel Celeron processors. Secondly, this game is fun for about two hours and then becomes tedious and boring. If the Taldren/Activison alliance wanted to put out a "good" game, then they should have spent more time beta testing ( gee, other software companies do it so why shouldn't they ).

Summary: getting better...
Review: This game is slowly getting better as far as crashing goes. but it still (sadly) looks a lot like the first game... they have added new ships and new abilities along with 2 new races... but it is really a lot like before. If you loved armada like i did this game is worth buying. Here are the pros and cons

---PROS
)2 New races
)Fewer Bugs
)New ships and special functions
)Better interface
)New maps and single player levels
)Has a tutorial level set

---CONS
)Seems to use more memory, hard drive space, processor time, and zaps more from a graphics card...
)still has some bugs on older systems
)Has only 3 (major) single player level sets
)Seems to have a weaker story.

Overall i would say... this is one you'll have to decide for yourself.

Summary: This Game ....
Review: I've been a die hard fan of the Starfleet Command series since it came out. Starting with SFC1 I had finally found a game that would hold my interest for years!

...I couldn't wait...bought it, installed it, played it, HATED IT!! This game is so far removed from the other 3 titles and it is a joke. By trying to appeal to the TNG fans and to attract new customers, the game was simplified to the point of a 7 year old could play it and win. Go into reverse and fire...that is it...no tactics nada.

It is a shame that such a great Game title has gone to the dogs....

Summary: Fun
Review: Not the best but fun playing the captain of the ship. Choosing a strategy can be tough at times but it offers a unique perspective not done before.
