Summary: This game rules... but be warned...
Review: System Requirements: Macintosh computer with a 450MHz or faster processor, OSX 10.2.8 or higher, 256MB RAM, 16MB video card, and CD-ROM drive.

I didn't have a new version of OSX. It didn't run till I got my new Mac, with the latest OSX on it. Other then that, it is an awesome
game, with lots of new ideas from the AOE2. If you just got your Mac, get this game.

Summary: A very good RTS with an fun twist
Review: Developer Rick Goodman has done it again- made a really fun RTS with some important new elements. The most important parts are the three unique civilizations, god powers, and mythological units. For example, if you decide to worship Hera, you can get Medusas and the lightning storm power. There is also a really good campaign, with more than thirty levels, where you play as the greek hero Arkantos. In all, this is a fun game that is definitely worth getting.

Summary: Good game, but nothing new
Review: This is a good game, but it's nothing too exciting. You basically build up an army and go fight your opponents. You start with basic units and through an enormous number of upgrades you can get some powerful units. You can build a ton of units, which is fun if you like to destroy your opponents by brute force. There are a lot of options for units and abilities (and by choosing gods). You get a certain number of special "Hero" units depending on how far you've progressed through the game. Each Hero gets special abilities. However you don't get to control your hero's abilities. You also get one special ability/miracle for each age of gameplay; the ability is nice, but it's frustrating since you only get one shot. I have not played completely through this game because I got bored.

If you want something better, try Warcraft 3. It's a better game overall.

Summary: my review
Review: If you like the original Age Of Mythology then you will absolutely love the expansion. The new god powers look awsome, and there are some neat opportunities if you like to create your own scenarios.
So if you are into Age Of Mythology then you should definitely buy this game.

Summary: AOM IS NOT AOK! Seriously dissapointing! MS going BACKWARDS!
Review: Dear readers, after reading most of the reviews here which were positive with high ratings, I was wondering whether everyone else was playing the same AOM game that I was! OK, please let me make this very clear, AOM IS NOT THE SAME AS, OR EVEN SIMILAR TO AOK! It is not even close! When I first got AOE a few years ago, I really liked it and thought things couldn't get better but they did with the release of AOK and then the AOK Conqueror's expansion pack. I totally love AOK and AOKC, so like most of you I was eagerly awaiting the release of AOM. However, as soon as I got it and started playing, I was deeply dissapointed, the graphics are absolutely AWFUL, NOT even proper 3D, they are not even as good as the graphics of AOK, the gameplay is really LOUSEY, the units move VERY SLOWLY, even though I have a very fast computer with all the extras. There are 3 civilizations, Greek, Egyptian and Norse, they are not very well balanced and this makes the game predictable and boring. The units in general are poorly designed, they are as big as the houses, they lack definition and seem to be neither male or female. The units do things slowly and often don't follow instructions, they seem to wander off and do their own thing. Also, everything is very small and difficult to see, the scenery is DULL and DEPRESSING. The AI is OK but could be better, there are 36 levels and the end is so stupid that it makes you wonder whether this game was a serious effort or just a cheap product designed to fool AOK fans in to buying it. It is nothing like AOK where everything was crystal clear and one could have fun making plans and executing exciting battles. After the 36 levels are done, the game is more or less useless. Overall, I think that even 1 star is too much for this game, I think MSFT and Ensemble have taken several steps BACKWARDS and seriously need to get back on the "AOK track" again! I was so dissapointed with this game that after completing it (which only took about 5 days), I sold it to a friend for half price! Next time I will not rush out and buy MSFT's next offering without playing the demos first! This game is NOT an extension or improvement of AOK but a stand alone BLUNDER which they seriously need to learn from, it has seriously dented their good reputation. I really hope they can get back to basics and make a better game next time... In the meantime, I am gonna stick to playing the fantastic AOK and AOK Conqueror's expansion!

Summary: The best yet from Ensemble Studios
Review: Awsome graphics. Superb sound. Impeccable game interface. This game is certaintly the best in the Age of Series. The balance is good. I very much like the 3 types of units (human, heroic, and mythic). It gives the game more variety and tactical challenge. The only thing is the game is too slow for me (45 min. to 2 hr.), so I would reccomend Red Alert 2 for those of you that are like me. Other than that this game is perfect.

Summary: This is a great game, but not worth $30.00
Review: Age of Mythology is a good game, but it is not worth $30.00. The game play is a lot of fun. The trees fall over when villagers havest wood, and the mythical monsters are cool. There are short movies in between parts of the campaign that add suspense and help to keep you updated on the games happenings. The only problem with the game as far as I can tell is the campaign's length. It includes all the civilizations, but is two short. One other problem is the editor. I enjoyed creating campaigns of my own in Age of Empires, but it is harder in Age of Mythology

Summary: Titanic battles
Review: The Titans expansion adds the Atlantean civilization to Age of Mythology along with its gods, heroes, myth units and their Titan. Titans are an incredibly powerful myth unit, capable of destroying entire cities. Each civilization has the capability of researching the Titan gate, which will allow them to unleash their own Titan upon the world. While Titans can be defeated, it usually takes another Titan. So, you'll need to play like Nathan Bedford Forest, "Get there firstis, with the mostis", before an enemy opens their gate.

All in all, this game is a definite keeper.

Summary: Age of Mythology Kicks Ass
Review: This is the best game ever. I can't stop playing it. I fully recomend this game to any mythology lovers or fans of Age of Empires. Anyone will enjoy being able to worship the anchient gods, and use mythicle units. This game kicks ass, and everyone should buy it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: just like age of whatever
Review: This is the basic example of doing the same thing over and over with a game. There needs to be a change in these types pf games. I don't think its worth wasteing your money on.
