Rating: Summary: Greatest game ever Review: I think sim city is the best, even if it doesn't have the best graphics(it has pretty good ones any way) it is a classic I'll never forget. I say everyone should have sim-city2000!
Rating: Summary: Sim City 2000 SE Review Review: I thought taht after five minutes this game was boring, but I kept trying because I knew most things get more interesting. However, this was not the case. Don't buy this game it is a waste of money, especially if you are a girl and have better stuff to do. I am not really a negative person but this was really a truly awful game.
Rating: Summary: Great game-even if it's not the newest version Review: Just got the game yesterday and stayed up half the night playing it. Missed work today. I'm not a game person, but this is fun! I have a 3 year old computer, so I am limited on space, but this game fit perfect and runs at a good speed. I HIGHLY recommend this game for all ages. (I'm over 35.)
Rating: Summary: Best computer game ever. Review: Let me start off this review by saying that I absolutely DESPISE all computer and video games. I think that they exist merely to waste people's time, which can be wasted in much better ways. Sim City 2000 is one of the few exceptions to this rule. It enables you to build virtual cities on your computer. You can engineer your own landscape and use the Urban Renewal kit to design new buildings and place them wherever you wish. The other two SimCity games are slightly flawed. This one is the best, with three-dimentional, yet simple graphics and lots of interesting ways to plan out your city. It may be highly addictive, but at least you're thinking about something other than killing people. This is worth much more than its price.
Rating: Summary: Easy to play and TOTALLY addictive Review: SIM City 2000 is one of the easiest games on PC to play and it is great fun too. Build a city from scratch and watch it grow. With a loan from the bank you can start your own electronic world and you're in charge BIG-TIME. As your city gets bigger so do the needs of your blossoming population and let me tell you they aren't always to please. They want schools, hospitals, police and fire departments, libraries and museums and they are also greedy for entertainment such as stadiums, parks and zoos. To get the money in you have to make the city pay for itself, so taxes are the order of the day, and cutting costs just part of day-to-day living in a SIM world. You get totally wrapped up in your city, especially as it evolves with time and eventually looks like something out of Star-Trek. The instructions are easy to follow, and the graphics are chunky and colorful. The sound effects are pretty neat too, and you get a choice of disasters to inflict on your city if you are feeling especially nasty. A great game and at a great affordable price too.
Rating: Summary: Still a great game Review: SimCity 2000 has been around for awhile, but don't let that hold you back from buying it, especially at this price. Although not as graphically beautiful as SimCity 3000, it is considerably more playable and almost as detailed. In addition to the ability to design and build your own city, something that can be endlessly fascinating, there are several interesting scenarios good for an hour or two of play. Also, this game is well worth your consideration if you have an older computer. It runs beautifully on everything from a 486-66 up. If you haven't played SimCity 2000 yet, you owe it to yourself to check out the game I firmly believe was Maxis' finest creation.
Rating: Summary: SimCity 2000 Review: Simcity 2000 is a simulation game. You play the major of simcity, You have to construct it very well and attract a lot of people and the game never ends. It is very easy to learn and a lot of fun to play. The controls are great and very easy to use. You start the game by first taking a lone from the bank and then start constructing your city by putting roads then placing Power plants and connect them to powerlines that runs through the city for electric power, Water pumps, Water Towers and underground pipes for water supply, Residential zones, Commercial Zones, Industrial zones, Parks, Zoo and Stadium for entertainment, Schools, College, Hospitals, Police stations, Fire stations ect and then issue taxes to the people who come to your city. You can't place them anywhere you want, If you place a residential area near a powerplant no one will come, If you issue a lot of taxes then people will start to leave, The public will protest if you destroy forests, If you destroy lots of buildings A large mob lead by your mother will throw you out of town (play the game and find out what it means), You have to plan very carefully by not spending a lot of money too as there is a limit to how much you can borrow from the bank. Sc2k comes with a screnario editor for creating your own cities and it is very easy to do so. Sc2k is a 2D game but the graphics very bright and clear and the game runs very well. Simcity 2000 is one of the best computer games of all time, It is a must for all simulation / strategy fans.
Rating: Summary: SimCity 2000 Special Edition (Jewel Case Review: SimCity 2000 Special Edition is an amazing game that was major improvment on the previous somcity. The graphics look bad with todays standards, but the feel and the gameplay is simply put it stupendous. There are many aspects of the game that has been lost in subsequent editions such as making nice neigborhoods and luxury homes looks awesome. I loved this game and with the debacle with sim city 4 being a huge disapointment and simcity 3000 just being fair I might replay it again.
Rating: Summary: When I'm not playing D&D! Review: Snort, I love this game. When I'm not defending the elfen castle ar darwin from savage trolls you'll find me with a bowl of lucky charms playing SimCity 2000! I can still remember the time I first played SimCity 2000...snort, I think it was the summer of 98. After a tough day of advanced calculus me, Roger, and Keith decided to skip our normal hangouts (the library or mall) and go browsing through our local electronic surplus store. I needed another 733mhz board for my motherboard so I could run dual processors when crunching data for the SETI site. Well. . . . .
Rating: Summary: Boredom Buster Review: This game deserves four stars if your playing for a boredom buster instead of enjoyment. This is a fun yet agrivating game that can keep you playing for days trying to get that big city any mayor wished they could have. The game is aggrivating in a way because it is easy to fail and have your city go into debt. But If youre bored this is a great game.
