Review: This is trully an awsome game! It is rated Teen for violence wich does not incluge any gore. In Star Wars Galactic Battle Grounds, you control your desired civilization and fight your opponents. This game will give you hours of fun stratigic Star Wars warfare! Summary: StarCraft Plus!
Review: If you like StarCraft (or Warcraft, or Civ.) than you will LOVE this game, especially if you like the Star Wars movies! It has all the basic gameplay of the previous games, but this time you are playing with iconic favorite characters!
There are 6 species to choose from (there are 3 very different ones in starcraft), but the difference between each one in this game is barely any. If you can play one, you can basically play all. Personally, I think the "Empire" is the most fullfilling for a Star Wars fan to choose as it has At-At's, Tie-fighters, Tie-interceptors, tie-bombers, speederbikes, and more! The rebels are missing the B-wing, A-wing, and the Millenium Falcon itself is even missing as far as I can tell! ...
The other thing that is really nice about this game is the variety of ways you can win a battle: by destroying your enemy, collecting jedi holicons, or building a monument with mined resources. This, along with the jedi characters alone, open several options and potential strategies to this game.
The campaigns are great and you get to role play as your favorite characters and see the story from that team's POV(the evil empire isnt so evil when you are vader!); but the true fun of the game is multi-player! The game even comes with movie audio clips that you can use to taunt your friends during play. "I have you now!" "I'd rather kiss a wookiee!"

Summary: A good Star Wars RTS
Review: This game is the better Star Wars RTS for sure; it's a bit slow paced, which took me some getting used to (I've been playing Red Alert 2 for a year now). But after I got used to the slower game play I found this game to be allot of fun. It does use the AOE 2 engine and allot of the same units (with Star Wars graphics) however I found this game to be more fun than AOE 2. Perhaps this is because it's Star Wars, or because it is a si-fi game, or how this game can make the Gungan Army actually look cool and menacing and not like a bunch of bumbling Jar Jar Binks's like I was worried it would. Over all the game is worth the money and is hours of fun (especially if you are an AOE 2 fan and a Star Wars fan).

Summary: Too Clunky
Review: Yeah, it is Star Wars, but ... it leaves a lot to be desired. Units run off and do idiot things, there is no move and attack function, the scenarios are alternately ridiculously easy and horrifyingly complex, with no real middle ground. It has the Star Wars name, but that is about it.

Summary: Fun spin on the Age of Empires.
Review: This is a likeable game built on the Age of Empires platform. We saw it and purchased it right away. We spent time in the instructions to understand functions and found that it was very simple to adapt to the new teams and characters.For the number of negative reviews listed, you might get the impression that this game isn't at all fun. Quite to the contrary this is a great game for anyone that enjoyed AOE. Manipulating the evil Galactic Empire to your own purposes is a lot of fun. The 'T'een rating may be deserved on this one as a "dying" character screams out in pain. Otherwise this is an enjoyable game. As a final note...
Online players seem to be struggling with adapting to some changes to the game. Please be sure to update your game with a free patch to fix a few small problems before attempting to play on-line.

Summary: Don't take this game too seriously...
Review: Wow! Great idea, poor execution. Using the Age of Empires engine was a good idea, but the designers missed out on a lot of the potential, and decided to just slap together a bunch of units. While it's great fun to use R-2 units to gather my resources, I couldn't help but wonder why I had to gather food and build houses for my little droids. There are plenty of other flaws like this one that make this game stand out as not much more than Age of Kings with some new graphics. Still, its an imaginative game, and if you're a Star Wars fan who doesn't take strategy games too seriously, you might have some fun with this one. Enjoy playing in the Star Wars universe, and laugh it off when you have to hunt Bantha to feed your Trade Federation droids.

Review: This game has to be the best Star Wars game. What I like about it is that there is so much stuff to do. You can even go on the internet to test team. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in Star Wars.

Summary: Best Game in over 1 year
Review: Reminds me of the Homeworld series although different. It is 2D not 3D and takes place on land. I am not a hard core gamer and most games that are highly rated are just too difficult even on the "easy" setting. I bought 3 highly rated games and this is the only one I could play. Just have fun and enjoy. It has so many options that one could take weeks playing them all out. You really get your moneys worth here.

Summary: Kicks some mighty, mighty but!!
Review: I don't know what game the people who rated this negatively were playing, but I got this game as a gift, and am totally in love with it. One reviewer mentioned that he liked getting to know more about Wookies, a race we know little of...I concur. Getting to know and interact with the many different races is a real treasure. I think the graphics are amazing, and the story lines well crafted. A lot of thought wen't into the making of this simulation, and those artists should be proud of their work.

Summary: galactic battlegrounds
Review: after reading a bunch of negative reviews about this game, I went out and bought it. I did so because it was a star wars game that looked interesting and I had [PRICE] i didn't know what to do with. it was money well spent. galactic battlegrounds is a fun game. there isn't as much strategy as i had expected (then again, so far I've only played on the easy setting) but it is very addictive. I spent about 6 hours in one campaign (was up until 5 am) and had to go to sleep before tightening the noose on the forces of the empire (i was the rebellion of course). there are many planets to choose a setting from, as well as many military units (unfortunately no A-wings, B-wings or Tie intercepters) i can't wait to try out the other civilizations as well. each are supposed to be different somewhat. i hope that lucas arts makes an upgrade with more civilizations, such as black sun, a hutt civilization, or one of the multitude of other races created in star wars. the game is good, i'd recommend it. I've never played age of empires II, but this has got to be better, i mean, its star wars
