Summary: How original can lucas be ?
Review: I see for what i've played that the one can he be not very original... Hummm let me see at my game rack.. ah i see patience my friends all will be said... Oh i see here Age of Empire, Age of Kings and Starcraft.

This game is the exact copy of those game all together, with positive and negatives sides.
Lucas Lucas on your movies explosions are great but in the games that intensity falls down a liitle. Wake up and smell the coffee
look at other gane around you like starcraft and Homeworld were the explosion are a blast... Rejeuvenize your team and get some
infografists and programers around 20-27 years old.
Just one more thing if i ever see you create game like Force Commander or Rebel Assault 2 i am personnaly demonstrate my jedi powers to ya...

Summary: Great game
Review: This game is the best. I downloaded a demo for it wich was totally cool. Then I bought it and I'm addicted to it. The levels are awsome And the Civs. are all very cool. The game has six Civs. Which are the following: Royal Naboo, Galactic Empire, Trade Federation (my favorate), Wookies, Gungans and the Rebel Alliance. Each have there own special abillites like Galactic Empire have AT-AT's which are awsome and other neat stuff. What's really cool is it's just like AOE wich is my FAVORATE game(besides this). I liked this game so much I bought Clone Campaigns The very NEXT day. I recomend this to everybody

Summary: Disappointed with this game, I am.
Review: This game is basically a clone of Age of Empire. Depending on how much you like AOE, you can stand on either side of the issue. Honestly, I didn't like AOE II, which is what I played before Galactic Battleground, so my feelings on the latter game will be equally harsh.
In case you were wondering, yes, I am a Star Wars fan, which was the main reason why I bought the game in the first place. Keep in mind that I also believe that I have not played a superior RSG since Starcraft, which in my opinion is far more fun and "smarter" then those two games mentioned.
Now that we got that out of the way, here's my 2 cents on the subject matter:
This game suffers the same problems as AOE, one is mediocre graphics. The lanscape and characters appear flat and visually uninspiring. Laser blasts from weapons look like color ribbons going across your screen. There's also a lack of cinematic scenes throughout the game, which is the same in AOE, all you ever get here is a replay of couple cinematic shots from the actual Star Wars movie in the beginning, and some story boards in between the missions to describe the mission scenarios. Kind of boring to me.
The AI is also unimpressive, which I thought also plagued the gameplay of AOE. Units have to be micromanaged, meaning they wouldn't know what to do by themselves if you didn't command them almost individually every waking second. Units are not "smart" so to speak. The ones in Starcraft could run away if they are attacked and too weak to retaliate. Units there also operate strategically once you command them to, which is not the case in Galactic Battlegrounds. And what is up with most ground units not being able to shoot at the air units? That's just plain annoying. You have laser pistols and rifles, not rocks!
Overall I was not very moved by this game. If you love AOE, then you might love Galactic Battlegrounds, but be advised that you might end up just playing AOE but with Star Wars units and a different storyline. I really don't think Lucas put too much creative input into the development of this game, other than to just give the entire project to the AOE team, who basically made a AOE clone out of it. I guess I was looking for more action and less time spent building an elaborate civilization. I'm hoping for better offerings in the future. These guys can learn a lot from Blizzard, the developer of Starcraft.

Summary: Star Wars Gallatic Battlegrounds
Review: This game was ok, being a fan of Empire Earth, All Command & Conquer games, and Age Of Empires. There are some disatvantiges to the game but all in all it was pretty fun. Some problems were the fact that the campains were as boring as all get out. And you hae to mine not 1 or 2 but 3!... recorces. So if your looking for a really fun game then look else where but if your looking for a fun but some what lacking game then this the one.

Summary: What Happened???
Review: What happened to this game??? Galactic Battlegrounds is not worth the retail value. It has bad graphics, boring single player campaigns and missions, and is totally unrealistic. However, the game is not completely shot to hell. The only good thing I find about this game is the multiplayer. People make their own scenarios which are really fun to play and there are very few star wars nerds playing it also. The game isn't the best and could have certainly been made better.

Summary: THIS GAME ROCKS!
Review: I purchased this game a long time ago. It is still very fun. Its like Age of Empires except with star wars. I love the campaigns and creating custom scenarios is even more fun. Its one of my favorite stategy games. You can play as the Gungans, the Empire, the Rebels, the Trade Federation, the Nubians or wookies. If your a star wars fan this game will be great fun for you!

Summary: This game stinks

Summary: So Repetitive!
Review: StarWars: Galatic Battlegrounds is a great PC game, however not the best StarWars game on the PC, not by a longshot. However the game is very easy to get into. You can play the scenarios or create your own where you can add characters from the movie. The sound effects are straight from the movie, there are a lot of characters from the expanded universe of StarWars which you may have to reference from the StarWars website for more background info on them. The cons of the game come from the feeling of "been there, done that," especially if you've played Age of Empires or Age of Kings to death. The gameplay becomes too repetitive and the replay value goes straight to hell. But it's a good game just realize that one day it's going to end up on the shelf with the rest of the games you've long since stopped playing.

Summary: A solid game for RTS or Star Wars fans
Review: This game is quite solid. It has a user friendly style but it lacks many things. Th AoE II style gameplay gets old quick. The new units will hod some people interested but light gamers will not be pleased for long. If you want to command a Star Wars army then give it a go. But if you are just shopping for a good RTS game this is not the best choice.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Just like Age o' Kings
Review: Many people say that Battlegrounds is too much like AOK. But I like it that way it's like Star Wars Monopoly they are exactly the same but with a Star Wars twist. By the way, The CLONE CAMPAIGNS exspansion makes this game twice as good. I would HIGHLY recomend both to you.
