Summary: Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds
Review: This is one of the best Star Wars games ever. I bought it a year ago, and it's still one of my favorite games. Impossible to get bored at. And I didn't even buy the expansion pack yet!!!

Summary: Good 4 years ago...
Review: This game could have been great. Instead the devolopers used Age of Empires 2 as the platform and really failed to achieve graphics and gameplay neatness. This game is great for people who are diehard StarWars fans. I do not think that if you don't absolutely adore StarWars you will enjoy this game that much. It is fun, but it could be a lot better. AOE2 is definately an overused platform. PS the wookies are pretty ugly... but Darth kicks ...... PPS go buy a good FPS instead...

Summary: A.K.A. AOE reskin
Review: Having played Age Of Empires, the game's engine was all too familiar. There were jokes flying around about it was JUST a reskin. Well, that's partially true. Most of the buildings are extremely similar in what they do (actually almost all), the building where you build air obviously is new, but other than that, all the buildings, minerals and overall game play are essentially the same.

In AOE 2, there were over 10 different civilizations, this has 6 I believe, the rebels, trade Fed, Imperials, Wookies, royal naboo and gugans. To tell the truth, the only reason i played this was to send AT-ATs at Gungans. (it was fun, till i realized you couldn't step on them) Each race pretty much is the same, except for how the units look and special units. Slight differences exist though, imperial fighters don't get shields, trade fed does not have to build shelters, gugans can build shelters underwater, i can't remember any others....oh well.

Dealing with 4 resources is a pain, seriously. And miners are rather slow. having to mine carbon, food, nova crystals and ore is annoying to say the least. Whenever a worker isn't working, a red button flashes until you send that peon to work. When your fighting it gets rather annoying. Some units you would think should hit air AND ground, alot don't. Also air units CANNOT be in the same 1x1 block in the air. The air is treated like ground, where only a single unit can occupy that space, unlike starcraft where air can stack.

The game engine is very good, seeing that it is the SAME exact one as AOE.

There's a campagin for each race except the gugans. in each you get to play with heros from the movies

Trade Federation: attacking naboo and u get Darth maul and lots and lots and lots of droids
Wookie: driving off imperials, slavers and trade federation, rebuilding governement, Han, chewie and a bunch of wookies
Rebels: follow the story line, luke, leia, a jedi, han, etc.
Gugans: weird, half is like 1000 years ago, then it jumps forward. uniting clans and killing droids, Boss Nas, Amidala, qui-gon, obi-wan
Imperials: Hunting rebels down. Darth Vader

There's also deathmatcher were u get lots of resources and fight to death. Mounment, where the first to build one wins, no combat.
Killing the commander -> straight forward, standard where you can do almost all of the above to win.

The game is good, you get to use alot of Starwars units, and the sound and graphics aren;t bad...

Summary: Fun, but ......
Review: This game is really fun and if you like age of kings or Age of Empires you like this game. The only thing bad about this game is that the graphics are not the best. The missions are pretty simple. It is not a tuff game but it is enjoyable! It is at a good price because you can get to play with the Royal Naboo and lots more. And if you don't like the missions that are listed you can create your own!It is Action filled!!

Summary: Wow - what a game!!!
Review: I am glad to have picked this up this past weekend. I am a huge fan of AoE2 and this one has quickly become my fave. I love the look of everything. The ships, troops, buildings and the landscapes are all realistic to the SW world. This is a must have for gamers who love Star Wars. The only downside is that the civs included do not occur simultaneously in SW canon. That issue aside there's nothing wrong with the game. Even though I was familiar with the system I played the training campaign (the Wookies) - it was great. I can't wait to get the Clone Campaign add on.

Summary: Kick ... Game
Review: It's like starcraft in the gameplay, controlls are all the same, and tequniques you learned in star craft and warcraft apply here. You have to build and gather, however, an edition to this game that I really like is the ablility to build walls, something none of the blizzard games have. You have the choice of fighting as five different races in the single player campaigns (cannot play as royal naboo) and six in all other settings. Wonderful game, with good graphics, good sound and an even better replay value. Cheats are pretty cool too. Type in "simonsays" and see what happens

Summary: enough with the ground battles
Review: yes i will admit that this game was fun. but it seemed to me that they made this to redeem themselves for Force Commander. and they succeeded, somewhat. the fact that it is almost identical to AOE is enough for me not to like it. and when will we see other games like Star Wars Rebellion. i still enjoy dominating the galaxy with this antique. with modern gaming systems a "Star Wars Rebellion 2" would kick butt. maybe set in the Thrawn series? or maybe the Yuuzhan Vong invasion perhaps...

Summary: Cool Game
Review: Just to keep it short, I really liked this game. It plays like Age of Empires, which is easy enough to use. I, personally have taken a favor to playing as the Wookies against the Trade Federation. The only problem I see with the game is that my computer crashes alot. But the computer is older and would crash even if I weren't playing the game.
