Summary: Has to be seen to be believed.
Review: The graphics and 3d camera deployment in this game are stunning.
As an RTS, it has a steep learning curve, but if you do live with
it for awhile, the reward will be worth the effort.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: Very impressive. Orignal and interesting to play. Graphics is good, soundtracks are wonderfull both by themsleves and in creating just the right mood for the game.

There are some downsides though:
1. The game gets rather slow when many ships are present. Make sure you have computer at least twice as powerfull as that listed in minimal system requirements.
2. Some missions in the end get a bit tedious (but that's a flaw of any RST)
3. It ends! :)

Overall: must-have for anyone who likes sci-fi, space games and cool special effects.

Summary: This is IT!
Review: If you enjoy scifi games or real-time strategy in general, you will enjoy this game. I've been playing it for years and still enjoy it greatly. 3-D combat in deep space with fighters, capital ships and special ships like cloak generators and long-range sensors. Take command and hang on...

Summary: Wow, wow and wow again.
Review: I've just finished playing Homeworld for the second time. I've also finished Cataclysm. Homeworld is simply the best RTS I've ever seen, and believe me I've seen a few. If you like RTSs, don't think, just click. If not, then read a few more reviews.

Suffice it to say, this game is dynamite and if you don't already have it, you should.

I'm just waiting for HW2 to come out now ... drool ...

Summary: It's really fun...I hear
Review: I couldn't make it work, not even on my brand new HP Pavilion laptop with the Pentium 4 and 168 MB of free RAM. Apparently, my drivers are incompatible, and I won't be changing my computer just to play this game. Also, Sierra Studio's web site tech support has a veritable phone book of complaints on every one of its games. This does not inspire confidence. Plus, the theoretical "solution" they recommended to me required multiple purgings and adjustments to my hard drive--forget about that! I was really looking forward to this game, but had to send it back because of technical problems. If you have any doubts about compatibility, you might want to skip this one.

Summary: WOW!
Review: Having read the two or three negative revies on this game, I'd just like to say - I'm, not sure they were playing the correct game!!!

The storyline in this game is very powerful and emotional, the way the cut-scenes are done works very well, though you would expect it not to...

The graphics are awesome, and the gameplay - well I spent many many hours on this one.

The soundtrack has been called boring, but in fact it fits very, very well with the emotions in the story, and contributes a lot to the overall feel of the game.

One of my most favourite strategy games ever - I recommend you try this, and the sequel Cataclysm.

Summary: Homeworld- WORST Game Of The Year Edition
Review: This game is horrible! If yur thinking about buying this game reconsider...unless u like like sitting in the middle of space
with a bad battle system and a crummy soundtrack. If u did
want this game get StarCraft. IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

Review: Do not buy this game! It may be wonderful, if playable, but many boxes contain CD's erroneously packaged in white paper sleeves rather than a plastic jewel case. The install program requires entering a code from the jewel case. Without it, you've just spent [the money] on a beverage coaster . . .

Summary: Whoohooooo!
Review: For all the people out there who dreamed about becoming astronauts, this is probably the closest you'll come in the comfort of your home. The graphics are simply outstanding, it really does feel like you are in space. The special effects and sound effects are all top-notch and just add to the depth of an incredible game. The sound score is just fantastic and truly creates the sense of being in space...even if sound does not travel in space. This is, hands-down, one of the most alluring and fascinating games to come out in the last few years. Beyond the graphics and sounds, the story is the true strength of the game. Although the premise of being the last surviving colony ship has been used in science fiction books before, this is the first game I have ever played that truly brought the premise to life. Believe me, it is nearly impossible to not become somehow emotionally involved in the story line. It felt as if I was watching an epic space movie unfold in front of me. That being said, I do feel that the units in the game could have been designed with a bit more variety. Basically, each side has the exact same units, except for a one or two unique units. This game merits five stars just on the depth of the story. However, unless you have time to devote to the game I would recommend not buying it...because you will always want to fire it up.

Summary: Look out! Major time drainer!
Review: If you have papers to write, real work to do, or have an active social life this game could be a problem. The game opens up with a wonderful step by step tutorial, (which you will need turst me) and then sucks you right in. Unlike most real time strategy games this one varies the missions, the opposition, and the locations in wild and wonderful ways. There is endless flexiblity in how you can build your forces and use them to fight. I can not tell you how many hours I have played this game, both in single and multi-player modes. This game is fantastic in short. I will warn you though, I have known people to get phisically ill due to watching the game, so if you are really prone to get car sick etc. you may need to use a little caution when playing.
