Rating: Summary: Good Game Review: I bought this game about 1 year ago and it was pretty good. It is a bit hard to learn hence the weird names of buildings and units. Other than that it is very good. The graphics are really good considering the time it came out. The controls are really easy to learn and remember. Once you are engaged in combat with the computer or a friend on the internet you'll never want to stop playing. Once you start, you wont stop.
Rating: Summary: The best C&C Ever Review: This is the best they can do within this series. I love this game.
Rating: Summary: A very great game! Review: Oh my! Westwood has done it yet again! Another great RTS strategy game and one of the few sequels to live up to its predocessor's name. There are more units, 3D battle plane, more units, more control. Buildings that can be entered by troops, veterancy, more nations to choose from (each with it's own special unit). This game is truly great. Only drawback is the limited air power of the soviet nations (no more MIGS just slow blimps). The graphics are great and a very cool refinement that the first RA did not have.If you liked Red Alert you'll probably like Red Alert 2!
Rating: Summary: Real Time Strategy Gaming at its Best! Review: Red Alert 2 is set in the alternate history where the Russians and the United States are in military conflict. In the previous Red Alert, the development of time travel allowed the allies to go back in time to 'right some wrongs'. One of these involved the assassination of Adolf Hitler. However, with Nazi Germany a nonentity, the power of the Soviet forces were left to grow, inevitably leading towards a conflict with the Western powers. The West prevailed (of course!). In Red Alert 2, the so-called western-friendly leader Romanoff of the Soviets showed his true loyalties. The Soviets had rearmed themselves to take revenge upon the U.S. and its allies. Through a sneak attack, the U.S. mainland is attacked, and it is up to the player in the game to achieve victory once again. Red Alert 2 is a vast improvement to Red Alert and Tiberian Sun. The pathfinding of the vehicles are enhanced, as well as the quality of the maps and graphics. Of course, you can play both sides of the conflict, and both are enjoyable. The unit balance in the game is perfect, with each side having different but equally powerful strategies to exploit. The West once again has access to chrono technology, enabling them to transport units to any area on the map. The Soviets have very powerful ranged units, such as a naval ship that shoots cruise missles. The missions are wonderfully made. You don't simply create units and fight until one side is completely demolished. Many of the maps involve an urban setting. If you are the Allies, for example, your job is to liberate various cities. If you are the Soviets, taking over America is your goal. Yuri's revenge is more than the average expansion. The programmers have added an entirely new side to the conflict. The dreaded Yuri has created his own army of psychic units and is threatening to rule the world. All new units are present. He even gets his own superweapons such as a machine that damages buildings and converts enemy units into units that Yuri controls. Even the allies and Soviet forces get new units. The allies get guardian GIs, who are ground troops capable of anti-air defense. The soviets are now able to build bunkers. Unfortunately, you can't play as Yuri's forces in this expansion. If you are a fan of real time strategy gaming, Red Alert 2 is the cream of the crop in this area.
Rating: Summary: This game is a must have! Review: This is my favorite game. This game is the expansion to Red Alert 2. In this game Yuri comes back to try and take over the world using is mind controll technology. This game has many new features! New Allied Units and Buildings 1. Gaurdian GI 2. Navy S.E.A.L. 3. Robot Tank 4. Battle Fortress 5. Robot Control Center New Soviet Units and Buildings 1. Boris 2. Siege Chopper 3. Spy Plane 4. Battle Bunker 5. Industrial Plant What sets this game apart from many games is it is based on a more realistic time. Some of the units, however, are not so realistic. In the game you get "heroes" on each side. For the Allies you get a modern day Annie Oakly, whose is not afraid to get down and dirty. For the Soviets you get Boris. A very powerful unit capable of calling in an airstrike on enemy buildings. For Yuri you get none other than Yuri Prime. Yuri Prime is the one and only Yuri, capable of controlling enemy units and buildings. The game, of course, has a couple of flaws. Pros 1. The game puts you right in the action of having an entire army at your disposal. 2. The games units are modern day and advanced. 3. The areas you fight in are very realistic. 4. The missions put you in the middle of it all giving choices that can be vital to your victory. Cons 1. Although I love the game, I must admit that it was put together in a hurry. 2. The Mastermind unit does you no good if you try to to use it as a defensive tool due too its lack of definding itself. 3. The Magnetron is also pointles in the game. It creates a magnatic pull that can do barelly any damage to buildings and pulls any units to your Magnetron. If your Magnetron is defending your base, what good does it do if it pulls the unit towards your base? Other than that I thought the game was a fun game. If you think that you are going to get any educational value out of this you are wrong! It is a game meant to make you think like a general, attack very cleaverly, and learn not to think that a defense is pointless. If you own this game or are intrested in buying it, I recommend any of the Red Alert series. ...

Rating: Summary: Great graphics and gameplay for online gamers Review: Command and Conquer is a series that has a HUGE following amongst strategy gamers. Command and Conquer: Renegade is their entry into the first person shooter arena. The familiar sides of GDI and NOD are present, and all of your favorite weapons and vehicles are available for enjoyment. The graphics are *really* nice, and shine in quite a number of areas. Well worth making sure you have a GEforce 3 or 4 for. Another great feature is that you can enter vehicles and even share them with friends. One person can jump into the driver's seat and the other can leap into the back to man the guns. There are APCs for transporting small teams. The loading and recoil graphics on the weapons feel very realistic. You've got your weapons that you know and love from the various command and conquer games, including the laser rifle, chain gun, grenade launcher, flame thrower, chemical sprayer and more. A sniper rifle lets you zoom in on the action. Sure, single player can be a bit boring. But as in most of these first person shooters, the internet multiplay is where the game really shines. Single player is really just a training arena until you 'graduate' to on line play. You can play with a team of 10 or more friends from around the world, working together as a group to coordinate your attack against the enemies. Just as in command and conquer, you have a base and have to defend it while destroying your enemy's base. You can blow up your enemy's bases by blasting them from the outside, or blowing them up from the inside! With the HUGE number of HalfLife players out there, this is a giant step up in terms of graphics. The vehicles also make a great addition. It compares nicely with Halo, although Halo can't support large team play and isn't "really" internet enabled right now. If you find a fun group of players to team up with, you can easily get lost in the game for weeks, if not months!
Rating: Summary: What a blast Review: I preordered this game and it was well worth every penny. The graphics were great as well as the story. Also, getting to drive the vehicles was a blast. The ending left something to be desired and it was fairly easy at times but it was well balanced. The multiplayer alone would be worth buying the game over even if the single-player was horrible, which it isn't.
Rating: Summary: Piping Hot Root Beer - Believe The Hype! Review: This game is definatly a step in the right direction for future RTS games. Certainly, it's better than C&C:TS. It's about on par with the original RA, and has many creative and different units. Unlike most other RTS games i've played, there are major differances between the armies, even down to the foot solder, where the allies domminate. except in the Navy, where they preatty much are the same. that kinda makes me sad, since the allies used to really kick in the water. One advancement in t his game is that they replaced those pop-up in-mission game hints with video and audio cutsceanes. While the acting is really bad, I expect to see that again in the future. (Did this game come before or after Starcraft?) While this game is without perfection, it is very entertaining, and anyone who is into RTS games should consider it, specially if you like the C&C universe.
Rating: Summary: An Instant Classic Review: I have loved the Command & Conquer since the beginning and I've loved everyone of them, and this is no exception. I fell in love with the AWSOME graphics, the multiplayer mode, and the campaign which is challenging and requires intelligent tactics, unlike so many other FPS games. If you get it, you'll love it to, gaurenteed. I will be surprised if they dont make an expansion pack, cause thats what a game of this quality deserves.
