Rating: Summary: Yuri's Revenge is a great sequel!! Review: A great game counterpart to Red Alert 2. This takes off right after ra2, having the inferior seeming Allied forces win the war. (Sigh.) However, Yuri has defected from the Soviet Union, building his own excellent army to play in skirmish or internet. You can command all armies in the most fun gameplay of them all, skirmish. New units have been acquired by the Allies and Soviets, to fight Yuri's diabolical army. Anyway, Soviets are making a comeback with all their units, with several marvelous brand new ones. The cool Siege Chopper has a machine gun to dispatch allies or yuris infantry forces, and an artillery cannon, (oh yeah!) to shoot the crap out of the allied structures and massacre their infantry, even the anti air guardian GIs will go down right away to these big guns. Attacking a Yuri base with these requires more caution, as mind controlling units and buildings can wreck a small force. Just place them away from Psychic Towers and fire away! The Soviet hero unit, Boris, is better than Tanya, as his range and ease of use is greater. Place a laser designator on any building, and some MIGs will demolish the structure with their missiles. The Industrial Plant reduces the build time of their powerful vehicle force. Yuri's army is quite fun to command, as his units are destructive and great to use. His miners are pretty good, but the slaves are extremely low on health, so guard them carefully. His Iniatiates are the best basic infantry, and are very dangerous when garrisoned in buildings. His Yuri Clones and Prime can fry infantry, (civilians) and control them. Primes can take over most of the armies buildings. The Virus sniper kills infantry with a toxic residue. His brutes are hulks that can crush tanks and infantry that stand in his path. His vehicles include one similar to the Grizzly and Rhino, the Lasher, and a Gatling Tank that has spinning barrels that can tear apart army men. Another addition to his mind control technology is the mastermind, a vehicle able to control 3 units at a time. (ONLY THREE PER DEVICE!!) Magnetrons can fry buildings and drag vehicles in the air with a magnetic beam, which won't effect infantry. His structures and Naval Yard are neary identical to the three armies ones, except the Psychic Tower can mind control units, and Gatling Cannons are emplaced anti infantry guns. Yuri's Naval Yard produces Boomer missile launchers like Dreadnaughts, and torpedoes like Attack Subs. His superweapons are the Genetic Mutator and the Dominator. Mutators turn any infantry into Brutes, while the Dominator controls and destroys everything in a wide radius. The allies are still here, and have mind control immune vehicles, (don't be TOO afraid of them) which are Robot Tanks with weak armor, and the massive Battle Fortress. 5 or so deployed grouped up Siege Choppers and some Lasher Tanks are enough to destroy a single Fortress, and a Yuri Clone can take one over with his mind. The way to build Robot Tanks for allies is to build a Robot Control Centre. Yuri's Revenge has some gameplay changes. Team Alliance has maps designed for close battle with teams. There are some neutral units on some maps. Civilians can carry very weak pistols, and automobiles are good to mind control and scout with. If you read this review, just play this COOL GAME!!
Rating: Summary: Very Good game...but... Review: Ok, to start this review I just wish to say one thing, the graphics in this game are amazing. I have seen several reviews saying the game is a serious resource hog on some very high end machines, however I am running an AMD Athlon 900Mhz machine with an ATI Radeon 9600 pro 256 MB graphics card. Not to mention the fact that I only have 256 MB of Ram. I'm experiencing no slow downs at all. I thnk the game might have a bit of a problem with the GeForce chipset but I haven't checked in to that yet. Next, they did a very good job on the gameplay end, aside from a few pathfinding errors, but that's why developed the waypoint system. They did a good job of balancing the U.S. and China, but the GLA does not live up to the standards i would have expected, the units are weaker in offense and defence. I would imagine that's do to my lack of experience.
Rating: Summary: wow Review: this is a great game, you do need a very fast computer though, it is worth it. in the game if you like using lots of hi teck aircraft stuff, be the USA. if you like fire and lots of powerful units and nucular wepons be China. Rating: Summary: Amazing graphics - Great gameplay ... Review: Here we go again - another chapter in the Command & Conquer saga, and a good one at that. With C&C Generals they've taken even further. The gameplay is pretty much the same as before (which is a good thing), although slightly improved, the story is good and catchy, and the graphics are absolutely amazing!!! The game has 3 factions - USA, China and the Global Liberation Army (GLA), which all have very different but nicely balanced capabilities and specialties. Every faction has different "General" abilities, such as carpet bombing, paradrop etc. The game has 3 single-player campaigns - one per faction. Each faction have certain advantages: USA has High Tech and Air Force, China is mainly about massing great numbers of units, GLA does not need to create powerplants, they have underground tunnels, and they can use chemical weapons. As usual in C&C, each faction also has their own distinct superweapon. PROS: * Superb graphics - Best I've seen in any RTS. * Great multiplayer gameplay - The factions are nicely balanced, and large battles with 3x3 or 4x4 teamplay will have you hooked for months. Good ranking system that makes it so much more addictive to play online. It's also free to play online. * Exciting single-player campaigns with very nice cut-scenes. * Excellent music. Completely matches the gameplay. CONS: * 3 levels of difficulty where Easy is way too easy, Normal is also too easy, and Hard is way too hard. Normal should've been a bit harder to balance it all out. * Does not have naval units. This is the only thing I'm really missing - Red Alert 2 was way better in that aspect. * Extreme graphics requirements. Runs smooth on my P4 1.8GHz with a 512MB of RAM and a GeForce 4 Ti4200 (128MB). * Not possible to skip the "cut-scenes" at the start of every new mission. All in all, I would highly recommend this game, whether you're a C&C buff, or if you've never played C&C before. It's worth the money! 5 STARS!!!

Rating: Summary: Another hit! Review: I have been a fan of Command and Conquer since the beginning. And I look forward to every game they bring out. This is by far the best looking game in the series. You can zoom in on the veicles and buildings and the detail come in view without being fuzzy. I run this game with everything set on high and runs very good (I have Pentium III 1000, with 256 ram and a 64 meg video card). I was a little dissappointed when I first started playing the first set of missions China) as it seemed too easy and they were almost all short missions (except the lsat couple), but as you moved on to the the other 2 factions, it kept getting harder and harder and I started liking this game more and more. A couple of things I don't like is playing skirmish mode. When playing a skirmish, it seems the balance is off in favor of China. You can build bunkers (that will hold 5 guys, I like putting rocket launchers in them) and machine gun turrets) if I get those built quickly, the defense is too strong to get through, but the GLA and USA don't have those type of defenses and it's not easy (depending on the difficulty level you choose). And the difficulty level is touchy. If you play normal, it seems pretty easy ( I was winning with China playing against 5 computer opponents and only losing less than 10 units every game). But if you move up to Hard, and play against more than computer opponent, you get mowed over (unless you are playing as China). A little bit of balance issue I think, but this is still a very fun game. I you want more of a challenge, you can also go on-line, though you have to wait for a while sometimes for games to end so you can join. It is still a worthy effort, but I miss old but scenes they used to have. Any fan of this series will definteley enjoy.
Rating: Summary: CAN I HAVE SOME SHOES!? Review: I recommend this RTS game to anyone who would like a very good strategy game. The ability to play different sides that all have special weapons and units. Chinese have powerful tanks and nuclear weapons. USA has airforce power. GLA focus on stealth, explosives and biological. The GLA is a group of people that are considered Terrorists, they do NOT have a country to defend they are a global liberation, they think everyone should follow a certain living path. They also have some of the funniest comments
Rating: Summary: Bad coding, bad Idea Review: I saw this game at my friend's, the first thing that offended me was the war against Islam and being so racist calling people defending their country terrorists (but that's up to what Westwood think right?). My friend has a very high end machine (P4 2.4, 512DDR Ram, 64Mb ATI VGA, etc.) and it could play the most demanding games like WCIII or the poorly coded GTA3 and the awesome Vice City. This game totally sucked at his machine, GTA3 was way better (I think GTA3 didn't work fine on low end machines cause it was originally coded for PSX, but Rockstar games did an awesome job on Vice City). Well, if you own a super computer with a high end (128+) VGA card, and you're not offended by the racism and wrong political views of the game then buy it. Otherwise, I recommend that you find another RTS game.. I'm sure not waiting for any other RTS games from WestWood studios, I guess RA2 will be the last game I got from them.
Rating: Summary: Good Game Review: O.K first things first Single player The weak part of the game don't bother A.I is stupid missions are either too easy or too hard there is no middle ground. Also I could find no way to skip the cutscenes which annoyed me to no end. Multiplayer-The great part!!! Nonstop action, you ever wanted to drive a tank? how bout a Nod Buggy? Its not just killing things that makes it fn it is also the time and effort EA took in designing the building. Weather you are playing as a vehicle buster or a medic there is always something for you to do. Take me for instance even though I always get my butt kicked I still have a good time. My favorite thing to do is fly the hellicopter Overall-Great for fans of halflife, rainbow6, Solider of Fortune and Delta Force. Come one come all, there is much fun to be had.
