Summary: this game is well phat
Review: the predercesor of this game was brillaint now they've done it up even better and they've added a better story line with better ships. they've also added a better graphics engine so it will be much better when playing. the story is a warrior race called the vaygr want to conquer the univers, you are the only species that can defend its self from this barbaric race, not even the bentusi can help. you will find this sequal much better than homeworld 1 and homeworld catalcysm, enjoy.......

Summary: The Saga Continues
Review: The original Homeworld was the pioneer of a new realm of RTS, and though HW: Cataclysm was kind of a [copy](made by another studio mind you) Relic Entertainment will continue the story with the depth and vastness of the first story.

Though the graphics of HW2 does not compare to the latest generation of FPS, it is the epic plot that draws me to buy it as the only game I play.

Summary: This is art....
Review: I have played hoeworld and stayed with it for as long as i can remember sierra making this game and i love it. I made concept art about these ships but mine dont look as good. This game to me is basically pure art and makes me real happy they re-did the graphics of the game and lol im not 13 tho im 15 writing a atrical on this cuz im too lazy. People if you do want to get a good game get this this marks history in pc graphics and is a epic worth falowing and plaing just for the fun of it.

Summary: Not bad...
Review: I purchased this game with thought that it might have a wider ship diversity, and was totally right. There are tons of new ships and different weapons/upgrades. This is a slightly better game compared to Homeworld. Some things that are worse is that if your gl link(I'm computer literate and don't have a clue what this means) is non-compatable and you aren't using a windows 95/98 computer you have to download a patch from the sierra website, do this anyway because it took me about 4 hours of messing around with the game before I found this!! Another thing is if you like using the multiplayer and are using the Beast ships you are totally outgunned. I've gone into a battle with 12 ion ships and 2 heavy cruisers against a Dreadnought and lost every thing but the cruisers. Other than that, it is a great game and I can't wait for Homeworld 2 to come out.

Summary: HW2
Review: Hi this is FirePSA of Paktu Sjet Armada and i am here to review HW2. I have both games and i'm stoked about this one! The other 2 games were great (but HW:C was not as good as the original HW) and i'm not sure how you can improve on those 2. The grahpic, sound, camera, story, etc. have all improved in HW2. The bad things though are it comes out in late August and the Hiigaran MS (Mothership) looks like a banana ad the back has a bunch of engines that look like dots; maybe relic can look into this and tweak the MS a little. Otherwise this game HAS to be great or will sue, i didn't get all excited for nothing. I just can't wait until it comes out!

Summary: Good, but not good enough.
Review: Homeworld 2 is surely going to be a great game, but is it good enough?

Sure, it is vastly improved comparing to Homeworld, but the graphics of Homeworld2, from what we saw in prview-build release, isn't good enough, and even out-dated comparing to other 3d games. The blurry textures can be found throughout different sections of the ship models, and the texture itself look like color plattee, gives no sense of material.

The explosion and debris effects is good, but have you noticed that all pieces of debris look exactly the same? The effects are not convincing, either, for a powerful capital ship simplay disappear after it is destroyed, instead of releasing huge radious of destructions as we would have expected. Even a mod from the original Homeworld can do that, and I wonder what make Relic think that the fans won't want to see some realistic explosions.

The removal of fighter formations and refueling of the strike crafts are stupid. Without the limitaion of refueling, fighters will be flying everythere and no one is going to build a single capital ship. Without formation, it is impossible to organize the strike crafts into groups.

Homeworld2 will still be a good game, but it won't be excellent as it should have been.

Summary: Homeworld2, sequel to benchmark real time strategy
Review: Homeworld set the standard not just for real time strategy, but almost the entire PC gaming comunity. Homeworld set forth many new and inovative conncepts at the time, which today 3 years later still stand out. rated best PC game of 1999, Homeworld is without a doubt one of the greatest games of all time. now with the comeing of HW2 it can be assured that new ground will be broken once more, and new standards set. While it is difficult to gauge prerelease, HW2 is certainly deserving of the five star rating I have given it. I know for fact that it improves upon every aspect that made its predecesor so sublime. comande of your massive battle fleets has been made easier by employing new control interface design, camera control is easier than ever with the ability to pan, not to mention an entirly new game engine. Music and sound are improved aswell. I will say again that Homeworld 2 improves upon every level. I recomend this game to any fan of gaming, and especially those of strategy. If you need more substantial proof test run the original Homeworld and see howsomething os great can be improved. Homeworld2 releases this august, look into it, and please give consideration to this future master peace of gaming.

Summary: the best game ever (by an 11 year old gamer)
Review: homeworld Rocks!!!! This is the best game ever created by sierra. I've played and beat it about 7 times and i'm still finding newer and more coplex ways of doing it (as its an RTS). Even though in the 1 player mode you have to complete oblectives you can do them in any way you want. but i think that the best part is the multiplayer mode you can have lan and internet matches and CPU skirmishes there are a ton of different combanatoins to pick from for how you want to play in Multi-modes too. The game plot itself is ausome too its about a bunck of exiles bieng forced to live on a reaaaallly crappy planet called Kharak until the find the remains of a of a ship and in it they find a rock... the rock is reffered to as the guidestone and it is a map to their real homeworld so they set off in a space ship and over time you research different technologies to defeat the tidan imperial empire the ones who exiled you in the first place. the graphics of this game and the sound are in all abslution totally stunning and i love the whole series and i have reserved the newest one homeworld 2.

Summary: better multiplayer
Review: If theres one thing I'm trully loking forward too in this game it's the expanded and upgraded multiplayer. I loved the story line and action of Homeworld (wasn't a huge Cataclysim fan), but when it came down to it the multiplayer of Homeworld broke down into who could build the fastest and overwhelm there opponent. I'm looking forward to a multiplayer where it will be possible to employ unique and creative strategies to beat your opponenets all 5 of them :) (nice job Relic!), intead of just building the other guy into the ground. All in all I can't wait!

Summary: Best game ever!
Review: If this game is as good as the other two in the fantastic homeworld series, it is obvious to me that this will be even better. As the other two games showed, they have taken space games like this to a whole new level, and if the other two installments were amazing, then H2 will be as good as gold!
