Summary: The new Roller Coaster Tycoon Wacky Worlds
Review: 1. The new Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 game has gotten much harder.
And now Wacky Worlds... what are customers asking for? Not wacky cities, none of that. Just medium challenging regular games. Unless some want it to be hard, Wacky Worlds is not for you. Neither is it for me. Just forget about it... This, just the RCT2 game will not be an ultimate seller like other simulation games. At least it is not..... gulp.... Sim City. Now that is a complicated game.

Summary: I won't even bother purchasing this game! Not worth a penny!
Review: All I have to say is don't waste your time and money to buy this game. This add on is horrible. The company tried to hard to make this game and they really need to fix this game up. These add ons are just plain boring.

If you want to try to make a better innovation pc game for the community, then I suggest you to fix up this game now. Stop ripping off people money and start fixing up this RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Wacky Worlds Expansion Pack!

Summary: Milking the market
Review: Expansions are now widely accepted just as much as movie sequels, so they are often pre-planned before the current working rev. If they would've waited and included all the elements of Wacky Worlds Expansion with the original release of RCT2, it would've garnered better reviews.

Pros:
- New stalls. Meatball soup stall, soybean milk stall, star fruit drink stall, roast sausage stall.
- New rides. Killer Whale submarine ride
- New scenarios. Added 4 beginner parks, 6 challenging parks and 12 expert parks.
- New scenery groups. Africa Themeing (104 objects-includes park entrance w/elephant tusks), Antarctic Themeing (46 objects), Asia Themeing (103 objects), Australasian Themeing (41 objects-includes park entrance w/kangaroos & boomerangs), Europe (123 objects), North America (113 objects-includes park entrance w/eagles and U.S. flag), and South America (94 objects).
- Banners now wave in the wind. Minor, but adds realism.

Cons:
- Almost all cosmetic modifications made to create "new" rides. Appears as though they are reaching the end of their rope for new designs.

Overall:
For a game that offers no blood and guts, its popularity is undeniable. The 22 pre-built scenarios and various themeing objects are the only reasons to make this add-on purchase. The price for the elements available is steep. Third party downloads and/or patches could've done the trick for what is offered.

Summary: Not clever, not imaginative, not fun, not cheap.
Review: First of all, this does not work or play like the RCT 1 expansion packs. All it does is fill your RCT2 directories with new stuff, and you use your original RCT2 disc to play it.

Secondly, of all of the "new" roller coasters, I have yet to find one that is not simply an old roller coaster type with new cars or scenery for that Scenario, and if you want to use the Asian roller coasters (for example) in ANY OTHER PARK, forget it; the game doesn't let you mix and match.

Thirdly, of all of the "new" (slightly revamped) coasters available, none of them come with pre-designed tracks that I have found. I don't enjoy building my own tracks, but if I want to use any of these new coasters I am forced to build my own.

Finally, of all of the neat things that they could have done to enhance the Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 experience that we all enjoy, this falls very very short for the money that they are asking for it. (When are those of us with expensive graphics cards ever going to be able to ride our rides?)

Summary: Ok, but not the best
Review: I bought this expansion thinking that it would be great. I was somewhat wrong, but somethings I thouight were quite nice. The scenery is beautific in this game, but there are no "new" rides. They're just recreations of older rides with new cars. Some of the new cars were in my imagination, like the "bullet" coaster, or the "TGV". However, some of them I thought were pretty rediculous. The sloth, gorlilla, koala, etc... I say are pretty dumb. I mean, who wants any of those in a street racing park like mine? Not me. Also, I'd like one new coaster: A strata-launch coaster. I uninstalled it yeseterday, probably because some the new rides don't fit my street racing park. My advice: try at a friend's house first, and see if you like it.

Summary: It might be fun, if it would WORK!
Review: I have two fairly new computers. I tried it on BOTH of them twice, and it never worked. Although it installed it failed to run. The web site was no help. Sorry if this review is not actually about the game, but think of it as a warning in case this happens to you too.

Summary: If you're obssesd...
Review: I just bought this and for $$ it's not worth it. All of the extras just include new scenery items. There arn't any new rides either. What they call new rides are just the same tracks with different cars. Want new food stands? well there arn't any! However, for those who want more pre-made games, this add on has a few. Overall if you're an obssesd fan of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 than I guess it's worth the $$$.

Summary: RCT takes a step backwards
Review: I love a good rollercaster snaking through the trees, and in RCT2 it was a great enhancement from RCT1 that you could build a coaster and have the trees automatically removed as you add track. So why would that functionality be removed from the expansion, Wacky Worlds? I don't want to spend my time removing trees, I want to build coasters. If you enjoy frustration and wasting your time, skip Wacky Worlds and go right for Tree Removal Tycoon!

Summary: IT'S AWSOME!
Review: I think it will be just the WORLD'S best computer game. New roller coasters, shops, thrill rides, seanery, and more. I hope they have the real park for CEDAR POINT!!! GET THIS GAME!!

Summary: The bad outweighs the good. . .
Review: I understand I'm reviewing an "expansion" pack as opposed to an actual game "installment," but Wacky Worlds is still rather disappointing.

If you're looking for new scenarios and lots more scenery to play around with, then you'll be completely satisfied with the Wacky Worlds expansion pack. But if you're a diehard RCT fan like me, you'll be extremely disappointed.

Sure, there's great new scenery and 17 new scenarios based on famous landmarks and tourist attractions worldwide - but that's it! The 50 "new" rides are nothing but graphic rebuffs of existing tracks in previous versions of RCT and are only available in the scenarios that fit their "theme" - which is frustrating. There is absolutely no creative freedom in Wacky Worlds.

Ever since the original RCT came out in 1999, we have been screaming at Chris Sawyer for not more items to scatter across the map, but more CONTROL over the design capabilities of the game. Chris Sawyer is not paying any attention to the very people who have made the RCT game series a hit in the first place - US! If you want us to build the park "of our dreams" - you've got to give us the control to do so, and loads of new scenery just doesn't do the trick. Wacky Worlds is far too constraining to even make an attempt. Take for example, the Killer Whale Submarine ride - you can only use it in the Antarctica scenario. Some scenarios don't allow free-form landscape design among other things. There's no option to have all rides and attractions available to combine the tools together so we have something to work with.

Chris Sawyer is forgetting the concept of QUALITY - NOT QUANTITY! No number of scenery additions - no matter how large - is going to vaporize what RCT gamers have been craving.

When is the scenario editor not going to have any contraints and allow all items to be added and accessed? When is the map size not going to have a maximum scale? When are we going to be able to import our own customized creations into the game (scenery, etc.) to build our "dream" park? When is the rollercoaster design going to be simple (as it is) yet with the ability to be tweaked to our own needs (vector lines and curves from other rollercoaster simulators come to mind)? When are the ride ratings not going to be ridiculously "childish" (for lack of a better word)? And when is RCT's game engine going to allow us to take the rider's seat on our own rollercoaster creations? That's what graphics cards are for. The competition is already ahead of Chris Sawyer there.

Chris Sawyer needs to LISTEN to the people he's marketing the game to, LEARN from his mistakes, and take what others have done and make it better. Only then will the RCT series be all that we've dreamed it can be.
