Summary: Booorrrring!
Review: Aside from some short-lived fun with SimSafari, which would be great for kids, by the way, the rest is pointless. SimIsle is unplayable. I did not enjoy this pack at all and feel like I wasted good money that I could've spent on one single better, more challenging game.

Summary: Good simulation games, but not great
Review: First of all, I would just like to write that four of the six games in this boxed set are playable on a Macintosh: SimCity Classic, SimTower, SimIsle, and SimSafari. The other two can only be played on a PC.

SimCity Classic is the godfather of all simulation games. It was originally released in the 1980's and Will Wright, the genius behind the game, was launched into simulation game stardom. This game is very similar to SimCity 2000 and SimCity 3000.

SimTower is the most unique of the games (in my opinion). Your mission is to build a successful skyscraper, thwart terrorists, and make your tower a major attraction.

SimIsle is a game about an island paradise in danger. Tourists, poachers, and corporate raiders are trying to get onto the island and it is your job to control them all while saving a rare species.

SimSafari is similar to SimIsle in that you run a tourist business in Africa, but that's about it. Manage guides, poachers, tourists, and of course, the animals, to create a safe environment that turns a profit.

I cannot review SimCopter or Streets of SimCity as I said that they do not work on a Macintosh.

Summary: Half Fun, Half Boring.
Review: Half of this pack was fun (Sim City 2000, Sim Copter, and Streets of Sim City) and the other half was boring. Sim City 2000 is a fun program - you get to build your own city! Streets of Sim City is fun because you get to drive your car around and around your own citys! Sim Copter is fun if you like that kind of program!!

Summary: This is ok
Review: I bought this ... and thought it would be awesome with 6 games. But to my disappointment 2 of the games don't work on my pc. I was so unhappy. But my fave one works. My rundown:

1) SimCity I loaded this and played it once. It's classic and the graphics are awful. I also have SimCity 2000 and it's much better. Still at least it works. 3/5

2) SimTower This is the best game. My fave. It's addictive, first time I played I had no idea, but I borrowed the book from my friend and I'm superb now. 5/5

3) SimIsle This works, but I have no idea how to play. My friend got this pack too and she doesn't know either. 0/5

4) SimSafari This game doesn't work, so I have no idea! ?/5

5) Streets Of SimCity I played this at my friend's house, because it doesn't work on my pc. It's ok, you basically drive around SimCity and blow yourself up. 3/5

6) SimCopter This was fun the first time I played it, but it's a bit boring. I'll play it again though. 4/5

There's only 2 worthwhile games on here, so it's not worth [the price], but oh well. I had [the money] to spare and I want to get the kids one (I'm partial to SimTown and SimPark, hehe). Buy it if you're crazy about Sim games.

Summary: This just proves time marches over the older classics
Review: I bought this collection directly from the EA online store. Whle all of these might have been really great when they came out (although I know that even then many of them were judged overwhelmingly not to be), time and our resulting expectations, as game upgrading marches on, have ground these into the dust of gaming history. Where they might have been fun once, now they are tedious and disappointing. The exception, of course, is SimCity, which makes it through the limitations of its obviously archaic, extremely simplistic graphics with, nevertheless, still entertaining game-play.

However, overall, we must accept that some things we loved in the past aren't capable of matching our current game-play expectations. These Sim classics are some of those, and are best left back there in the past to be remembered fondly... unless you just want some antiques you'll never use around to give your PC software library "substance".

Summary: SimMania mostly COOL!
Review: I just bought SimMania yesterday. I'm a 13 year old girl, and for the most part, I really enjoyed SimMania! Here's how I rated each game: SimCityClassic- This version of SimCity is old and the graphics are awful! If you just want SimCity, I reccomend that you get SimCity 3000.Also, it was a little confusing. SimTower-I love this game! It is fun, challenging, and addictive! You can build a tower as wide and tall as you want! The possibilities are practically endless! SimIsle- I tried playing this a couple of times and it is confusing! Maybe I'll figure it out sooner! SimSafari- This game is terrific! It is the simplest game on this pack, but it doesn't get boring! You have to make a flourishing safari, and it's really fun. TheStreetsofSimCity- This is your average car driving, blow up everything you can game. My 7year old brother loves it, but there really is no object to the game! SimCopter- In this semi-confusing game, you have to rescue people from every day crisises. You waste most of your time trying to find the people, and then you get scolded for not finding them on time! All in all, the SimMania Pack is pretty interesting and fun! But if you get frustrated easily then you might not enjoy the game as much as I did!

Summary: one game-worth it all
Review: I liked some of the games but SimTower was worth all my money.

1)SimCity-Terrible graphics, the tax thing gets really annoying, and you don't really have enough money-2/5

2)SimTower-This game is addicting. You get to build your own tower and the more population and stuff you get the higher your stars will be. If you get a cathedral you win it all. (I am at Star 3) This is my favorite game.-5/5

3)SimIsle-I have no clue how to play this. 0/5

4)SimSafari-This game is really fun the first time but then you get bored. 3/5

5)Streets of SimCity-Your average "have fun blowing yourself up" kind of game. 2.5/5

6)SimCopter-The 3-D is really annoying and I can't seem to save anything of solve anything except for traffic but it is fun to through Sims out of the copter-2/5

Summary: Great collection of Sim Games!
Review: I stumbled across this set quite by accident, and being the Sim addict I am, I just HAD to buy it! I already had half of the games, but the price was worth it just for the others. The one thing I'm not crazy about is the lack of printed manuals, but for these prices, you can't have everything. There is full documentation on the CDs themselves, so if you have a printer, it's easy enough to create your own reference manuals. If you'd like a more than reasonably priced introduction to Sim Games, this set is a must have :D

Summary: 4/5 only because the others are not SO great
