Summary: Sill Playing
Review: I bought this RTS 4 years ago, and it is the only one that I still play. There was a very active mod community that still has downloads and tutorials available, the game released its own mapmaking utility (same used to make the game), and lots of free downloads: (...)

This is the BEST RTS, and it was the first to use 3D with realistic physics. Buy it!

Summary: Not Your Average Game
Review: I got this game becuase it caught my eye and it was .... It is awsome! The graphics are great, the controls are easy to learn, and the explosions make you feel as though your in the game! Weather you control the Arm or the Core, you control over seventy-five units (including buildings). Thats over 150 units. The terrian was realistic, but I felt it didn't affect the units as much as it should. The music is good, but when the game is changing the track, it can pause the game for a minute or so, and annoy you greatly. I also wish it was more addictive. All in all, they game is great and ... has it at a great price. Buy this game, or your computer will not be happy!

Summary: Buy this if you have at least an hour to play a game!!!!!
Review: I have been playing this game (single player mode) for 3 years now. It is the 2nd best game I have ever played (Deus Ex is the best), and the best stratagy game I have ever played. The graphics are great, and the sound is truely awesome (though some sounds can get monotonous if you have all sounds enabled). The narration at the beginning of each mission is as awesome as it would be if the man who played Darth Vader did it. It is very addictive gameplay which will perhaps give 100 hours or more of addictive fun. It was very hard for me at first, but after a week or more I became very good at it on "Hard" skill.

Use the speed settings hot keys to slow down the game, or you will not be able to handle the commands fast enough. Be very careful with your "commander". Use the orders to set the proper stance for each unit: "Roam", "maneuver", or "Hold position; "Fire at will", "return fire", or "Hold Fire". Set the settings at the factory to automatically churn out new units with the proper stance already set. Assign "Patrols" to units: they will patrol back and forth (or around) exactly as you want them to automatically.

If you do not have the patience to spend hours building up a base for a single mission (fighting off raids at the same time), then you should NOT buy this game. However, if you do, this game will reward you with an awesome battle with the opposing side. The AI is awesome. The only fault is in the missions on the planet with the occasional "meteor showers" and the other planet with the "ice storms": occasionally the showers will awaken enemy units prematurely ("scripted" events), causing them to attack you when you can not survive such a powerful attack without becoming too weak. In this case, replay the mission from the beginning. It will probably play out differently then. When things get hectic, pause the game to give orders.

This game is so fun, I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MUCH FUN THIS RTS GAME IS!!!!! Also, the Core Contingincy add-on is awesome too.

Summary: TOTAL ANNIHILATION
Review: I HAVE PLAYED ALL SORTS OF WAR GAMES :C&C AS WELL AS STARCRAFT & WARCRAFT BUT THEY DO NOT EVEN COMPARE TO TOTAL ANNIHILATION

Summary: An Rts classic Masterpiece
Review: I have played many games of this genere, including starcraft, all the redalert games, dark reign, galatic battle grounds, panzer general, warloards battlecry, and countless others. Yes, all those games were good, but none have had more of a "fun factor" as this game has. With a large selection of units, including sumerseibles, boats, air units, infantry, and tanks, this game sports imense replay value. This game was the first game I have ever seen use the super weapons, as well as the only game that provides ways to defend against them. Rather then garbage base defenses as were in starcraft, base defense, such as the punisher and the "big bertha" shoot farther distances then the mobile units can giving a purpose to actually building a defense. I highly reccommend this game, it did not recieve the recignition it deserved, but I still enjoy this game above all other for its amazing replay value and well thought out structure.

Review: I just wrote a full review but missed something. The score, the music is the finest in all of gaming. Absolutely fantastic with beautiful yet intense movements which really add to your total game playing experience. I even listen to mine on my CD player it's that good!

Review: I played this game for 3 years and still pick it up from time to time. There has never been a better RTS game, and the way the gaming industry is going, I doubt there ever will be.

Summary: Sweetness
Review: I've played RTS games, including Blizzard's Warcraft and Starcraft games. But for some reason, this is the one that keeps pulling me in. I've sold off my Blizzard collection, but I have two copies of this. Why?

Because this is a hell of a lot of fun.

I have yet to find a RTS game that allows land, naval, and air battles all at the same time. In fact, the naval parts of this game are my absolute favorites. There's nothing quite like the feeling of shelling a beach that you can't even see yet, then moving in closer and finding the twisted rubble of your enemy's forces, or the satisfaction of sneaking up on an enemy battle group with a couple of submarines.

Add to that a dedicated mod community that is still putting out maps and mods and new units to complement the 100 or so units the game ships with, and you've got something really special.

Also, the review would be incomplete without mentioning the incredible musical score, that changes according to the situation. There are times when sending in a flight of gunships calls up a roaring score, and I feel like I'm watching the Ride of the Valkyries scene from Apocalypse Now. While the graphics are a little dated, the score is awesome.

Sure, there are flashier, prettier RTS games out there. But more fun? Not for my money.
