Summary: Will Be Great!
Review: I've been in happy anticipation for this game for a year! Recently with the Beta Tests, there giving us all information about how INCREDIBLY SWEET this game will be! For those of you Star Wars fans (heck, you'll like it even if you're not) check out [web page] to see just how good it is. There is only one problem, they're having some problems in Beta 1 so the game isn't expected to release until after Christmas, which is MAJOR bum. I feel it would make all the difference if it was under my tree than on a game shelf, but I don't want the game to be defected or anything, so I guess it's OK....

Summary: This game is being unduly hyped up
Review: I played this game already and can say that it doesn't live up to the hype. Don't expect anything new, or anything that even meets the new standards of gaming. This game is like every other game on the market but dressed up as Star Wars for marketing purposes. It's really boring, the textures aren't impressive at all and the characters are shallow. Playing this game is comparable to being beaten by an old lady.

Summary: Goin to be the best game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I'm a MEGA Star Wars kid. I study Star Wars.
In this game, you get to be a:
Bothan: a camel looking guy.
Zabrak: has 2 horns. (I can't really discribe him.)
Twi'liek: Jabba's dancers.
Wookie: Chewbacca.
Rodian: Greedo.
Human: Who doesn't know?
Mon Calamari: a kind of amphibian. There was 1 in the Return of the Jedi.
Trandoshan: A reptile looking guy. You'll see one in Jedi Knight 2, and in The Empire Strikes Back.
The cool thing about this game is that it NEVER ENDS!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Everyone listen up!
Review: OK! If your like any normal person you have seen Star Wars. Then if you are still normal you see the jedi, the bounty hunters, the jawas even, and you say "wow, I wana do that!" Well of coarse you have felt this way! This is what galaxies is for. It's not just some wild online shoot 'em up game were the only purpose is to fight and become a jedi. No, this game is one that lets you be part of Star Wars. You could patroll the towns on Tatooine, visit the ewoks on Endor, see the majestic palaces on Naboo. This is a chance for you to live the dream that you have wanted to live since you were a kid. Or when you saw Star Wars for the first time in 1977. This isn't just a game. This is getting to actualy live the imaginary scene you created about seeing tusken raiders. This is your chance to be a Han Solo, or an Imperial Comander, or if you prefer, just a farmer making a living. And the best part of all this is that you'll be playing with real people.

Summary: I'm a beta tester
Review: This game is great, the beta testing is coming along. As soon as 30 ppl expirence the same they make a new patch. They have only released about 7 patches. There aren't many problems with the game. When it come out it will work flawlessly, I'm connecting with a dial-up and have no problem with lag of any kind. Its in the way the game is designed. I wish there was a rating higher then 5 stars...

Summary: THE mmorpg game
Review: In terms of what has been revealed thus far, SWG is definitely on track to be THE mmorpg game of the year! The scope of the game is immense and should appeal to hardcore fans as well as beginners.

The game itself is situated somewhere between the older movies, or what is now known as Episode IV through Episode VI. Players will be able to play a wide variety of characters, based on 8 in game races, and explore just as many different planets.

Only problem now is the wait! The game is still in beta testing and initial estimates for a Christmas release are still unconfirmed even though its listed here for Jan 15 2003! Whatever the case...get it now!

Summary: In the words of a Beta test observer
Review: Prolly the most anticipated MMORPG of the decade. Allowing players a true immersion into the Stars Wars Universe. Sure to cause thousands of hours of lost sleep and more then one sick day from work. A must have for even the least experienced gamer.

Summary: Not just another Hack n' Slash MMORPG
Review: I have been following the development of this game for a year and have been involved in many development discussions on the dev boards.
I am very impressed by the attention to detail that is going into this game. The developers are paying special attention to the casual gamers and gamers who were disappointed by previous MMORPGs (Massively Multi-player Online Role-Playing Game).
If you were frustrated by the "camping" and lack meaningful player-skills in Everquest... this is the game for you.
If you got frustrated by the lack of controls on Player-Killing in Ultima Online... this is the game for you.
If Dark Age of Camelot seemed too limited to adventuring classes of players... this is the game for you.
Star Wars Galaxies (SWG) will have a very dynamic player-run economy with limited reliance on Non-Player Characters. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at being a Farmer, Miner, or Merchant in an MMORPG?... then this is the game for you. SWG will have 25+ professions you can persue besides the classic Jedi, Smuggler, and Bounty Hunter - something to interest every type of gamer.
Player-Killing (PKing) will be strictly controlled to prevent griefing players who don't want to participate in PKing while encouraging large PK battles.
Camping will be controlled by random & dynamically spawning creatures... a valuable spawn won't appear repeatedly in the same place. Thus preventing the lines of players waiting for something to appear.
Twinking (the practice of older players equiping their new characters with over-powering gear) will be limited by item decay. And the best gear will come for player-crafters rather than uber (super-powerful) creatures that are competed for by high-end players.
SWG will acknowledge the many requests & complaints MMORPG players have had from previous games. SWG won't be just another Hack n' Slash... this is the game for you!
