Summary: Empire Earth
Review: We have all played age of empires right? Your in the prehistoric ages and you have to biuld a new world. Well take that and ad the rest of human history Youll get empire earth.Empire Earth is my favorite game because unlike age of empiers its got so much more to offer. You will start out in the pristoric ages go through the middle ages and into our time spaning across 14 epocs in all. Also the graphics have inproved over age of empires. You can now zoom in and see the battle in the eyes of a solder. The only problem i have heard with this game is it runs slow. It dosent run slow on my computer witch has 512 mb of ram so if you have that than your ok.But even on my computer its slow when you play mulitplayer. This is a must for anyone who wants a challange,in age of empires you could have a game beat in a copple hours or so but not in empire earth you might have to save and work on it for over 3 days. The fact is this is the best real time stragty game for your money so anybody looking for a challange or just a good game will like Empire Earth.

Summary: The Best RTS Game In A While
Review: I followed this game for months before it came out and got it the secound it did. It is trully an awsome game. The AI is very good, it does cheat but that just makes it harder and I like that.

The scope of the game is dizzying. There are 14 epics. 15 if you buy the expansion. Each of these have dozens of units and buildings to choose from. There are barraks, stables, archery, airports, docks, another water one I forget, Mech Factory, and Ultra Mechs. Those are the unit producing buildings alone. This is a true must have.

Summary: "Epic" is justified!
Review: Being a long-time fan of the "real-time strategy" genre of computer games, and being a fan of the predecessors to this game ("Age of Empires", "Age of Kings", etc.), I was excited to see what the next generation would bring. I was VERY impressed. The scope of this game is amazing... not just in the historical time frames that it covers (the stone age to the nano-technology future) but in its game play.

I am the president and lead designer of a computer game development company - with a speciality in game artificial intelligence (AI). Normally, part of the enjoyment of a game is lost once I get a handle on how the computer AI works. That is not something that is easily done with Empire Earth. On one hand, the rich, complex AI of your own units works just as you would expect it to. That is a necessary comfort when faced with an enemy AI that may NOT be doing what you would expect. Very often have I massed my forces on a front line or the main gate to my city only to find the enemy knocking on my back door... and knocking HARD! It's no wonder that the guys from Stainless Steel are regular contributors to the specialty books on AI for game developers!

I must admit that the game looks and plays best if you have a system that can really crank up the screen resolution. The more of the picture you can get on screen, the more massive the game feels - and the easier it is for you to run large battles... and those battles DO get large. I was just recently in a battle that had HUNDREDS of individual units on BOTH sides of the line... to be honest, it looked like one of the big Hollywood productions they did back in the day of Ben Hur... or the kind that are all done on computer like the battle scenes from the "Lord of the Rings" movies. The only difference is that YOU are in charge!

In the end, I very much recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of being the big boss! It certainly gives you the opportunity!

Summary: If you get it, it's incredible...if you don't, well...
Review: This game is very impressive in terms of detail, which makes it quite a game. But, the only problem the game has is that, if you don't get it, you won't get it. For people who wanna spend a lot of time playing a game, this is the game for you. As it mentions in the Cons of the game, it is rather difficult. But if you want a challenge, this is it.

My only complaint is that unless you have a very powerful computer, you can't have the highest graphics settings, or the game is slow as can be. But if you turn it down to medium or so, it'll work well. And the ability to zoom in and out allows for some awesome scenes. Plus, the fact that the game has 14 epochs, where you can go from caveman to robots makes for interesting gameplay.

Summary: RTS at its best
Review: I got hooked on Age of Empires 2 when it 1st came out, after I beat the computer many times over I became hungry for a sequel, instead I saw Empire Earth so I ordered it. I was truly impressed with this title, you can start your campaign in the stone age and wage war until the distant future (even longer gameplay if you get the expansion pack). The soldiers you have at the beginning can be upgraded, for instance a 'rock thrower' in the stone age can be upgraded to a heavy machine gunner in WW2 era. You can play from a far off perspective giving you a topical veiw, or you can zoom in to ground level giving you a horizontal view. Sierra did well with this one and I recommend it to all RTS gamers! =)

Summary: Too Difficult to Be Enjoyable
Review: Perhaps I'm just not enough of "hard core" gamer, but I foudn this game too difficult to be enjoyable. While I enjoyed building and advancing my civilization, there's just no way to avoid doing battle and play a simply economic game. So, about the time I get a wonder built or a couple started the AI kicks in and stomps the bejeezus out of me. I've had the game for a year - even bought the strategy guide - and I've yet to play complete a scenario succesfully, and this is while playing on the easiest setting. Perhaps I'm more used to simulation/city-building games than RTS games, but it seems to me that for the game to be enjoyable the average use ought to have at least a reasonable chance at success.

Technically, graphically, it's a great game. No complaints there, but the level of difficulty makes me unlikely to want to continue playing.

Summary: The Best RTS game(Real Time Stragety) Yet!
Review: Empire Earth allows you to start from the stonge age all the way
to Nano age. You have control of almost every aspect of each civilization. If you get tired of the boxed Campaignes and Scenarios, you can make your own from scratch. You can make your civilizations as complexed or as simple as you like. You can play over LANs(Local area Networks),or play online a Sierra websites. The computer AI can be modifed for all levels of play,or play on LAN or internet with real people. Who ever has the strongest civilization will have the earth as there Empire!!!!! The expansion pack is a must, buy a second game for LAN playing! This game is absolutly addictive,be careful to eat, drink, and take regulary sleeping periods :-)
