Review: Install the game. Go ahead. Now start a campaign. Ok, now pause the game by hitting enter. Good. Now type Simonsays (just like that, no spaces). Hit enter again. You'll hear a sound, a sound reminiscent of Ewok. Now look on the screen. What's that? An Ewok you say! Why don't you try repeating that process about a hundred times. Behold, your very own Ewok army!!! Long live the Ewoks!Besides the obvious plus of being able to create a nearly indestructible army of vicious furry Endor natives you have the option of playing with 8 different civilizations, all from the Star Wars universe. For those of you who are impatient there are numerous cheats available to ease your mind. If you like Command and Conquer or Starcraft then you will love this game. Especially if you've ever wanted to control an army of Ewoks.

Summary: Sweet! Oh YEAH!
Review: it lags a lot in graphics. the gameplay is neither good. interesting if you want to know more about the Star Wars stories from Episodes I, II, IV, V, & VI. i'd suggest to wait for the new RTS "Star Wars Empire at War" coming in 2005 made by the creators of "Command & Conquer Generals" (i'm not talking about publisher EA or Electronic Arts, i'm talking about the once Westwood Studios' programmers)

Summary: Good fun, but definitly outdated
Review: Ok. This is a GOOD game, but not a great one. If you like Star Wars just for being star wars, it may be a great game. Think AOE II. Its the SAME THING except with different units and graphics for each nation, as well as having air (which is nice having another dimension to the game, but very fake).
Every unit has an equivalent. Monks=Jedi (Jedi fight too). Pummels=rams. You get the idea.
The graphics are quite blocky and very sad compared to the games coming out now.
There is more stuff than AOE. There are more special animals and natual stuff for your scenarios to replicate all the different star wars worlds. The campains are plentiful and fun.

-Sad graphics for the 21st century
-It looks like they just grabbed the program code from AOE and changed some of the images
-Lots of units are very fake. Some aren't animated (Like the Rebel Assault Mech), and others move faster than the animation, making it look like they are being blown along
-The game did a terrible job of trying to design units that weren't in the movie. Since the Wookie Civilization needs aircraft and all sorts of units, the game made up some really ugly stuff for them
-THERE ARE BETTER GAMES OUT THERE......If you have to have a star wars look, get this game. If you don't care, get another newer one. I'd suggest an excellent game called Rise of Nations...........

YOU CAN MAKE SITH AND JEDI WHO CAN CONVERT UNITS. YOU CHOOSE FROM THE GALACTIC EMPIRE, THE REPUBLIC, THE REBEL ALLIANCE, THE CONFEDERACY, THE WOOKIES, THE GUNGANS, THE TRADE FEDERATION, AND THE ROYAL NABOO.

Summary: Caught up in the thick of battle
Review: Real Time Strategy (RTS) games had never really gotten my attention until the release of Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. I had played Command and Conquer until it bored me into a coma, played StarCraft until I couldn't care if my units lived or died (which took about three hours), and played Star Trek: Armada until completion just to find out what happened next in the backstory (not being overly challenged by the combat scenarios). All in all, I had chalked up RTS games to being for a niche market that I, apparently, didn't belong to. Then Galactic Battlegrounds came out and changed all of that. It is not terribly different from any of the above games or their bretheren (it reminds me particularly of Age of Empires - which it bases its game engine on - and WarCraft/StarCraft). There is an interesting addition in the form of air attack units, but I can't say that this is what brings be back to this game time and again. I guess the addiction comes from pure fanboy glee. Let me put aside all rational gaming considerations like graphics (very good, but not fantastic), learning curve (very easy with a good tutorial, no manual reading required), and game play (well paced fun, never boring). Let's down to the meat of the act. Pure geekish fun. Oh, sure, it is okay to control a bunch of annonymous soldiers and fight off invading forces like in StarCraft. But squishing a Jar-Jar Binks look-alike under the heel of your AT-AT Imperial Walker - now THAT is worth the price of admission! Getting good takes practice like any other game. The difficulty is easily adjustable, and the replayability is infinate. Add in the fact that this bundle comes with the Clone Campaigns - adding two more types of forces to play from Episode 2 - and this will be the best money you have dropped on a video game in a long while.

Review: The game is, well, so-so. I feel as though some of these comments are obviously those of the producers', etc. There seems to be two kinds of reviews here: 1. Honost--giving few stars, or several to be kind or open-minded. And 2. Dishonost--all out "THIS IS THE BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED!!!" Ah, yeah, RIGHT! Surrrre... Anyway, the game isn't bad. It can be a fun game if, like me, you're a big Star Wars nut. But as some reviewers have said here, if you've played AOK, it might be a waste of time (and money!)

Summary: Excellent game
Review: This game is great. True, it is an old game and indeed, it had great graphics for its time. I bought this game back in 1998 and I still have it. It was originally made for Win95 and right now I have WinXP and it still works without any problems. Nor had I to download any patches. This is my kind of game. I love that you can choose between playing as the Rebellion or the Empire. This is a strategic game. You have to make recoinassance missions to uncharted planets plus you have to develop your own planets by building mines and refineries in order to get maintenance point in order to be able to fortify yourself by building shipyards and training facilities to be able to either rule the galaxy by the Evil hand of the Emperor or to bring the total freedom to the galaxy.

Review: This game is so cool! If you liked age of kings than you'll love the star wars version. You get air units, shielding, and lots more. I recomend this game to any Real time strategy (RTS) game lover and Star Wars lovers! This game is worth the money.

Review: This is one of the best games ever. Age of Empires players, if you like star wars then you will love this game. The new things are air units( I love the Air Crusier!), anti-air units,and more techs. If you don't have it buy it now or ask it for X-mas, you will love it.
