Rating: Summary: Great sim for the money Review: As a pre-med student, I am really enjoying this game. For those of you who do not like to do background reading, don't bother. For those of you who don't mind reading through a fair amount of information, this game can be pretty fun. Code Red covers a number of aspects of ER work, from triage to the dreaded paperwork. The one big weakness I think it has is the very specific set of diagnoses that all but tell you exactly what you're walking into with each patient. The beginner level is almost a guided tour of the game, with the paperwork being the only thing that's really easy to mess up, and that's only if you don't research the treatment protocols in the nurses' station database. Nevertheless, the beginner level is a good way to learn treatment techniques on the fly, and that's the only way you can learn them in this game. The intermediate level is more challenging, because it doesn't give away so much, but you might find yourself lost if you're not in health services. With the advanced level, look out. Unless you've worked in a medical field, this is not the level to jump right into. Overall, this game is a lot of fun, though the graphics and sound are occasionally spotty. And considering the price, it's an A++ in my book.
Rating: Summary: Fun! Review: As a real-life EMT, I thought I was up for the challenge of playing an ER doctor. However, this game is more challenging than I expected! It is certainly fun, and quite realistic from my perspective. Take the system requirements seriously - it will run much better on a faster computer. There is even a beginner level to help the player along. I highly recommend this game for anyone who has even the most casual interest in the medical field!

Rating: Summary: ER fan favorite Review: I recently bought ER Code Red and 911 Paramedic at Amazon.com in the jewel cases for [money]. They are both extremely fun and seem realistic. The ER CODE RED includes video clips of some of the nurses from the TV show "ER". Depending on how you treat the patients, you will be reviewed and can work your way up to being an attending physican. The jewel cases do NOT include the instruction booklet but both have tutorials and begineer levels. For the price,it is well worth it.
Rating: Summary: Better Than Expected! Review: I recieved this game as a birthday gift and I didn't expect it to be that great. However, it is so much fun! I am a seventeen year old senior in high school with no aspirations to be in the medical field - yet, I find this game thrilling and I love saving people's lives, even though they are fake. You learn so much about being a doctor and different diagnosis and treatments and the patients seem so real! Oh and on another note, I have Windows ME and I disagree with the person who said this game doesn't work on ME. I've had no problems with it.
Rating: Summary: Could be better Review: I thought this game would be better. Although game play is slow (very slow) the graphics aren't that bad but could be a lot better. Wouldn't buy this for someone else. Thought the interface was hard to get used to--The PDA is very annoying to use. Thought the best thing was trying to kill the people I was supposed to be saving. Good luck to you doctors.
Rating: Summary: Problems Review: You advertise this item to be Windows ME compatible. According to Legacy Interactive it is NOT Windows ME compatible nor is 911 Paramedics. Clean up your advertising.
Rating: Summary: Fun - Life Like Review: You are an actual MD who sees patients in the ER. You get to decide a diagnosis, the kind of treatment needed, but everything is done under pressure of serious time. I mean it is the ER afterall. The graphics are wonderful. The first time I played I was scared of the Chief of Staff!!!!!!!!! The graphics look really life like and make you feel like a real doctor in the ER. I recommend it.
