Rating: 5 stars
Summary: the best expansion pack yet!
Review: I love playing with the Sims Superstar at first, but then it was giving problems. The Sims would get stuck. It took forever for the Sims to get to Studio Town and when they got there they were tired! It's hard to make my Sims to become Superstars. Now I only use the Sims Superstar for the fabulous objects. I can't wait to get Sims Making Magic! But overall it is a good game but it needs improvements.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good idea but frustrating
Review: This was an excellent idea. Becoming a superstar has been really fun for my Sims and me, in general. But it also can be really frustrating. For example, I was so close to attaining a really high star level, but then I got the "so and so is no longer a family friend" message, and the rating I had that relates to how famous your friends are went from like 13 to 6.5 or something. It doesn't happen like that.
Another thing I don't like is that if you attain the highest star level and then want your Sim to focus on something else, i.e. becoming an awesome magician (with Makin Magic), after like 2 Sim days you get a call saying you dropped a star level. I mean, yes, in Hollywood if you are inactive of course you will fall out of favor. But two days?!
Overall, it was a good attempt, but I was not entirely satisfied.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not as easy as the other expansion packs.
Review: Superstar might seem like the best one, but to me, it wasn't.

At first, I really liked it. I thought it was really fun and played it all the time. However, the object of it is to gain 5 stars, and to do that, you have to complete many tasks, such as modeling on a runway, singing a jingle for the radio, etc. To accomplish such tasks, you have to gain most of the creativity bars, and the people you're doing these things for have to like you (which is out of your control).

I finally got about 2 1/2 stars, and was glad that I was finally making progress. (Note: I'd been playing the game for probably an hour a day for a few months, and that was as far as I got.) However, once you begin getting stars, this creepy stalker guy (called an "obsessed fan" in the game) goes to your house and takes pictures of you, and also follows you around uptown. It's really annoying because there's no way to get rid of this weird guy--he's always there. I guess that's showbiz, but it just sucked. However, I really liked some of the extras that came with it, like a karaoke stage, etc.

I guess if you like a challenge, get this. But if you're looking for an expansion pack that won't take up all your time, get Hot Date or one of the other ones.
