Summary: Excellent!
Review: This game is really cool. It has lots of new options. It has new items you can buy, including Servo, the in-house all-purpose servant, a magic lamp, although I find that genie brings more bad luck than good, all kinds of new chairs, and tons more. They even have a Medieval home set, including ancient lighting, thrones, in-house out-houses, and old windows, doors, and wallpaper to match. Another cool thing about this game is it's graphics. They're even better than the first one, and they make it all look super-real. Even the sound is crystal clear. I haven't found a single flaw. Again, this game is really good, and can teach anyone about life.

Summary: Cool
Review: I love the Sims I have played the Sims for hours at a time. You can create people, name them, Feed them, make them sleep, make them take a shower, learn and many other things. I would recomend buying both The Sims and then getting the extention pack and then you can go on the internet and download stuff. With the Sims extension pack you can make the sims do any thing from playing pool to falling in love. I would have rated this game a five star but after about 6 months it gets a little. But all in all I would buy this game.

Summary: The Expansion Pack has problems
Review: I bought this game immediately upon its release, being an avid Sims gamer. The concept behind the game is great, however, I have never been able to get the Expansion Pack to run without crashing back to the desktop within seconds of starting. The Sims web site claims that some CD drives will not run the Expansion Pack. The Sims web site also contains suggested techniques for getting the game to run. These suggestions do not work and are useless. If the CD drive is in fact the problem, Electronic Arts is not supporting current CD drives and will not patch the program (I was trying to run this on a PIII 500 MHz unit with 128 MB RAM, 40X CD drive, Windows 98, less than one year old). I have also attempted to run the Expansion Pack on other computers with different CD drives and have found the same problem each time. Electronic Arts refused to respond to repeated emails and letters. My experience pretty much ruined my enjoyment of the Sims. Use extreme caution in buying this software.

Summary: A great game
Review: The sims livin large is a great game for anyone who loves to play computer games. My best friend and I both love to play it. This is not the kind of game that you play with once and throw away! So if you're looking for a great christmas present for someone, buy them this. However, you will also have to buy that someone the regular sims if they don't already have it.

Summary: Livin' Large is Rockin' Big time!
Review: If you own the original "the Sims" game you will love and cherish it for a long time. Eventually though, you'll become a little bit bored with it and then you'll start downloading some things from the net. Still not satisified? then you NEED Livin' Large. To add to your gameplay there are 5 new careers, Journalist, Computers, Musician, Paranormal and Slacker. Building up points for these careers is now easier with new skill-building objects like a chemistry set and telescope for logic, or a gnome making kit for mechanical skills.

Not only are there these great objects and careers there are other brand new objects, including stairs, windows, and doors. there are some distinct themes within this, including creepy stone castle style, with dungeon stairs, stained glass and a stunning bed. or try the tacky vegas stuff out, like the vibrating "love bed", tiki bar, and laugh out loud artwork. Also go modern and bright with funky furniture, lamps and walls.

NPC's like the "Tragic Clown Catcher" download, the Tragic Clown himself, Grim Reaper, Genie, Servo and others add to the game as well. With so many objects, reactions and gameplay its no wonder that I'm and I"m sure u will be addicted to The Sims once again!

Summary: An excellent expansion!
Review: This is a really neat expansion for a few reasons. The best part of Livin' Large, is, as a few other people said, the forty new places for houses and people. There are more than 120 new items, which is really fun (hey, there are finally GOOD kitchen table chairs and that table is really nice too...) This is the best add-on to a computer game that I have seen. If you have "The Sims" buy this. It adds a lot of variety.

Summary: Solid Expansion Pack By EA
Review: Not an excellent expansion pack, but definitely some good upgrades in this new package. I think they really could have done a better job, although I guess that wouldn't leave any room for future releases. Furniture upgrades are one of the biggest highlights. You can now decorate you house in some several different themes.

Along with five new careers they also added new ways for you Sims to get Skill points. New items like workbenches, chemistry sets, telescopes are a few of these new items available for your Sims. There are some new fun items as well to compliment the skill point items. The most popular is the new electronic maid that can clean, take care of your garden and even cook poor meals for your Sims. Other items include and magic lamp that produces a Genie, a Crystal ball, a voodoo doll to torment your roommates with, and even a vibrating bed for your lovemaking Sims.

Perhaps the greatest add on in this package is the addition of multiple neighborhoods. In the original release you only had one neighborhood to play, now with the addition of five neighborhoods allows multiple people to have play their own neighborhood.

When you get finished with all of that, there is even more out there for you to add on. Get tired of what you have on your screen you can go to the Sims website and download even more patches and updates to the game. If that isn't good enough for you there are several other websites that offer alternative patches and addition to the game as well.

With Lots of added features, fun and entertainment, if you loved the Sims, I highly recommend you pick up this well-done expansion pack. I look forward to future releases.

Summary: Worth the $... for a time
Review: I highly recommend The Sims and the Livin' Large expansion pack. The only drawback to Livin' Large is that, with a few exceptions, it only adds items to the game (i.e. objects, jobs, skins). If you are already tiring of The Sims (which is inevitable with any game), the Livin' Large "expansion" pack will resusitate the game for a couple more months perhaps. Along with that, there are "new" downloadable features of the game on any number of fan-supported websites that contain new and sometimes bizarre skins, objects, houses, wallpaper, etc. This game has A LOT of on-line support, and it is well worth checking it out, but the thrill of that may last an even shorter time because the objects available are basically "unsupported" clones of existing objects that come with the game, only with altered appearances (and they have been rumored to crash the game when used, however the skins, walls and floors out there can be very cool and are generally safe!). At www.thesims.ea.com, registered owners of the game can also get new "official" downloads for the game directly from Maxis, but usually they only provide about two items a month. Although Livin' Large is definitely worth the $ and has many interesting and humerous features, it tends to run dry quickly because it doesn't really change the game any.

Summary: A Must Get Game
Review: The sims is a simulation game of life for your PC. The objective for this game is to keep your sim(s)(characters) happy. To do this you must meet all of thier mental and physical needs ie. hygene, bladder, youget the idea. The sims was an awsome game but is now better with the expansion Livin' Large. In the original game there were many objects, furniture, etc. to choose from to put in your house. The expansion now lets you have many, many more items. The gameplay is the same but you just ave more things to bild and buy. There is a catch, you have to have the original version to play the Sims Livin' Large. But it was well worth the... I had to pay for it.

Summary: Tera Ma!!
Review: Tera Ma! For those of you who are familiar with Simese. This expansion pack adds more punch to an already punched filled game. While trying to keep your sims' needs up and develop friends and skills, your own basic needs tend to fall to the waistside. I've spent hours on end hooked to my computer screen thanks to the folks over at Maxis. Not to date myself, but this game brings 'Jones in the Fast Lane' into the new millennium. Highly recommended!!
