Summary: It works on XP....
Review: We're running this on XP on three different machines in our house and my mother's and haven't had ANY problems with installation or running....It's a fun game that is much easier than the Tycoon game is....Makes it's more relaxing and enjoyable. My 6 year old enjoys it as much as myself and my own mother does. Easy to figure out and fun to play. A great anti-stress game for when you just don't to track scores or deal with difficult challenges.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: This was a fun game to play on Windows 98. I have played Sim Coaster, so I was pleased overall with STP. When I recently tried to use this with my Windows XP, I found that there is no apparent way to intall and play this game. XP's compatability program is not able to make the game run properly and I found through my own attempts and those of other STP owners that Electronic Arts, which markets this game, is apparently not at all interested in providing aftermarket support to XP users. EA directs you to check other sites for further updates, but does not offer any patches of their own to make XP use possible. I would suggest that XP users that are looking for a sim game look to other vendors programs. Come to think of it, I would suggest that anyone who now uses XP or might in the future consider avoiding Electronic Arts products until they support them.

Summary: Not XP Compatible
Review: This program will not even run in XP within the Win98/Me Compatibility feature provided by Microsoft.... and the web site is worthless.

Runs very well in my Win98 machine, and my 11 yr daughter enjoys it better than RollerCoaster Tycoon.

Summary: My Game Analisys
Review: The game is great, it deserves a lot more recongnition. The only thing that I hate is that the company is soooo... lazy that they won't make it for Mac. I've checked here every week since playing it, and I mean, COME ONNNNNNN.

Summary: Not for users of Windows Me
Review: Don't get me wrong, this is a really fun game. It just didn't work right on my computer. Once, it crashed so bad, my computer had to go into hibernation. However, if you have Windows 98, then don't hesitate to buy it. It is a great game.

Summary: I agree - Windows XP kills it!
Review: I am a software engineer by trade and while I agree that there are many variables at play with a 3D graphics game, the fact remains that it is the software company's responsibility to keep up with and comply to the different Windows and hardware platforms now available. My company does it, and any good game company will also, instead of pawning the blame on the hardware devices like EA does. The game was fun on Me, fun enough that my son was extremely disheartened when it crashed repeatedly to the desktop on XP. If you have XP, avoid it like the plague.

Summary: This game was terrible!
Review: When I saw this game on sale when it just came out I thought it would be a blast but I was wrong. When it came out it was $(...) and I saved my money for almost a month and a half and when I finally got it I raced up to my computer to check it out. It took eight minutes to load and it takes one minute to get out. After a week of playing I did not like it any more. I espcially did not like the stupid ant telling you what to do. Compare Sim Theme park to Rollercoaster Tycoon(my personal favorite)Sim Theme Park is just a pile of junk.

Summary: Sim Theme Park
Review: Well, I know everyone has their own opinion about everything but it just gets me mad when people give it one star because it doesn't work with your version of windows, your graphics card won't support it, or your computer isn't fast enough to process the game, if it's a computer problem (with YOUR hardware) then don't rate it crappy. Also, some people definately don't give games a chance, like a lot of people say the graphics are terrible, they aren't bad and they weren't supposed to be mind-boggling in the first place. This is a simulation game, meant for you to make Amusement Parks and get high ratings for your park, that's the whole point of the game. The sound is cool, I like the music, the guide's voice is cartoonish (like the graphics and game set up) but he can get annoying at time, and you are able to turn him off anytime you like. The rides are cool, and the added ability to ride them is cool too. The graphics for this game, well, I like them, I like their cartoonish style and they aren't bad at all, but if you're looking for graphically beautiful games, look elsewhere. The game play is good, although I will admit it can get boring waiting for your researchers to create you new rides it's still interesting and fun to run a theme park on your own. The guide can get frustrating with his complaints (guests are litering, prices too low, not enough mechanics, etc.) but on your first go-round he can be a big help since there is no manual included. I wouldn't recomend this game to 15-23 year olds because it has a younger-aged set up and the overall style seems like it was made for kids. Adults may find plenty of fun in this game if they have kids, they could build parks together. People 14-12 may like this but the thought "this is for kids" would probably pop in their head when you first hear the guide talking, but when you get into the game it becomes hard to satisfy your customers completely. So, overall, this is a good game and I hope my review helps up the average score because, even though it doesn't deserve a 5-star, it definately isn't as bad as a 2-star.

Summary: Windows XP Users Beware!
Review: I had wanted a sim amusement park game, and was given this for Christmas. Unfortunately, my husband had recently installed Windows XP. If you go to the EA website they will tell you that this game is NOT compatible with XP. It does NOT say that on the box. Even with all the patches available, the game has many problems, (can't save my games, incorrectly counts how many tickets I've earned, and freezes up on me EVERY time.) There are so many fun sim games out there - try a different one!
