Summary: Fun but....
Review: The reason I gave Marine Mania a 4 is due to lack of information.Just like Dino Digs you are on own knowing what keeps the fish happy.Microsoft/Blue Fang need to take a lesson from Maxis and come out with a manual everytime you release a expansion.I guess when your Bill Gates you don't care about us average hard working people as long he gets our money.

Summary: Simple but addictive!
Review: I haven't had time to play this game on many occasions, but when I do play, I hunker down for hours. Everything is very simple and straightforward but it has a certain addictive cuteness about it, from watching the monkeys play to being able to click on a particular customer walking through the zoo to see what they're thinking (such as "I'm thirsty," or "I need to find a trash can.") I enjoy buying and breeding difficult animals, such as pandas, while hubby likes to see peoples' reactions when the lions get loose. A bit of fun for everyone!

Summary: A Great Zoo Just Got Better
Review: The Marine Mania expansion pack of Zoo Tycoon is great. While adding marine wildlife and shows to your zoo increases the level of challenge, I have personally enjoyed Marine Mania more in the past week that the past several months of Dinosaur Digs. But don't get me wrong, I still want my Dinosaurs.The increase in features such as new marine animals, tanks instead of exhibits, new buildings for making $$$ and very decorative foliage all add a whole new look to any zoo, making a great zoo even better.

Summary: Really fun simulation game
Review: This is a fascinating simulation game. You get to build am entire ecosystem around making a zoo work. Since you're the zookeeper, imagine that you start with some land and a few dollars. You get to make all the decisions on how to build and supply a zoo: - keep the animals fed, watered, and clean in an appropriate habitat,
- keep the guests pleased with food, bathrooms, and happy animals,
- make decisions on ticket prices (important for crowd control),
- make plans for animal acquisition and personnel hiring,
- manage the buildings and grounds,
- identify marketing, advertising, merchandising plans,
- and so on The software gives you a number of different choices of basic habitat and even allows you to start with different amounts of funding so you get a chance to see what it's like to start a zoo on a shoestring budget and then when funds are no obstacle. It makes a huge difference and keeps the game really challenging. I have two relatively small quibbles with the game. One is that the description says age 6 and up; I think that children under 12 aren't likely to make enough good decisions to keep the zoo alive unless they get significant coaching. The second is that you have to have a CD-ROM on your system so, if you want to play on an airplane, your laptop needs an extra drive. Still, I think that this game is really fun to play. And, a word to the curious and adventurous: once you get your zoo going, you can see what happens when you fence in the entrance/exits so that the zoo visitors can't leave -- and then let the lions and tigers out of their cages. Or, get the Dinosaur extensions and let a T-Rex loose!

Summary: zoo tycoon is fun but buggy
Review: Marine mani is a fun addition, however there are some bugs in it and the worst is where it crashes the game (did not start until I had built a lot.) Don't know, but the system can send an error report to Microsoft. Nothing worse than building a great exhibit only to lose everything since your last save. Wait until the bug fixes are in to buy!

Review: Of the Zoo Tycoon games, this expansion pack looks to be the most exciting from my point of view. With all the new animals, cheat, secret and easter eggs, it's sure to blow all the wanna-be's off the shelves! For the last few days i've be scowering the web to find a visual that i havn't already seen!...

Summary: Great for you animal lovers, but not as good as other games
Review: I am a HUGE fan of Roller Coaster tycoon. So of course I had to try this game. And I do love zoos and animals (actually trained to be a vet at one time) so figured it would be right up my alley. But it just never really caught my imagination the way other games did. Don't get me wrong, it was fun building a zoo and seeing all the animals in it. The game is very well implemented and eductional as well. But it almost seemed like work at times, and it didn't seem to have quite the fun of RCT and the Sims to just watch. I'm sure plenty of people will like it. As for me, I'm off to play other games.

Summary: it will be awesome
Review: if this game is as good as the other ones(which i know it will be) it will be awesome. I can't wait till till it comes out. It has a mermaid for the secret animal.
