Summary: How come it has to be so much fun?
Review: People who like this genre of gaming should really pick this game up. It is a lot of fun, but playing it over excessively will make you shelf it sooner than you should. The AI is absolutely amazing, teaching my animal things was just awesome. The sound could have been better, but it was good. The visuals are not defining a new age of graphics, but they are survivable. The playability of this game is long, it won't bog you down as fast as Diablo II.

The system requirements are a little high, but most real gamers don't care about that (they already have a beautifully rigged system). I can tell you safely that the replay value is high, there are many different scenarios you can put yourself in. My favorite is atonement, where I would be evil and than try to make up for it by being nice.

GET THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY AND PLAN TO PLAY IT FOR A LONG TIME

Summary: perfect
Review: Look, this game is the greatest game ever, period. I've been playing games since Pacman and this is the best ever, and will be stay that way for a long time, a very long time. If you think there is anything wrong with this game you just don't understand it enough. It seems simple enough at first but it's easily the most complex game ever. Think managing towns is boring, why do you have your creature! The AI for the creature passed the Turing Test, the only AI ever to do that, which basically means it could pass as a human. There are literaly no limits to what you can do with your creature so use that to your advantage. Seriously, if you can't see this game brillance total perfection then you a moron, a complete and utter moron. Sorry, but it's true.

Summary: Imposible to not like
Review: I don't know what the problem is with this game. Some people have been talking about having trouble with game interface. It really isn't that hard to manage. I was very comfortable with the interface after the first 30 minutes of play (HINT: Use the keyboard to rotate and pitch views!). There are also complaints about not getting used to the views. I find this very strange. It really isn't that hard to orient yourself. Creature training is a chore. This game reflects what it means to be a god. Consider the following, to be a benevolent god, one must take care of their village, villagers and creature. This requires a lot of time and micromanagement. Being a malevolent god will accomplish the same goals over the course of the whole game as a benevolent god. However, being malevolent, your people worship you and your creature through fear. Malevolence may even mean less responsiblity. Try creating different gods, with differnt personalities. You will find hat this game accurately reflects the personality in which you roleplay your god.

Summary: Some people hate it, some people LOVE it!
Review: I personally loved playing Black & White. But, for some people you'll dislike the game. I really liked raising a creature and depending on if you're good or evil, he will turn out differently. While many people found taking care of your village and training your creature a chore, I found a way around that. Start off by meeting your villages needs and setting them up so they can take care of themselves. Then, train your creature and progress through the game. Buy Black & White now because you'll probably enjoy it.

Summary: Only for the hardcore gamer
Review: This game is pretty good. The graphics were fine (never a big thing for me) on my P3 550, 128 ram, TNT2 Ultra. The gameplay is just lacking.....something. Micromanaging is not fun. You hear from a lot of people and reviewers that evil gods don't micromanage.....but that still doesn't keep you villagers from dying. There's so much stuff to micromanaging and getting the villages to *work*, but the lackluster tutorials don't help. Training the creature is also not fun. It takes it too long to learn (granted, it's the Tiger), and there's too much stuff to teach it. For example, I'm trying to take over a village out of my realm, but the opposing god keeps casting lightning on my Tiger. So I'm thinking "I've gotta teach him to cast heal, cast rain, and cast fireball correctly.......even though I did teach him to use it to 100%, he still won't use it. Then I've gotta feed him, and..........awe hell, I'll just play Unreal Tourney." Overall, it's a good game, but really only for the hardcore gamer who can put in some serious time to enjoy this game and all it's complexities. That's what I suspect most game-site reviewers are, and that's why you are seeing all the high scores and good reviews from those people.

Summary: Black & Blue!
Review: That's the color of my forhead after banging it against a brick wall while playing this game.

So much potential just flushed down the pan, great concept, great visuals, great sound effects, lousy gameplay.

I soooo wanted to like this game but in the end its a bitter disapointment, buy a Settlers game instead or even better check out Startopia, the demos great and the game is out any day now.

Summary: A game isn't much fun when you can't get it to work
Review: Before purchasing Black and White, I read several reviews of mixed opinions. Some people loved it, while others hated it. Most of the negative reviews seemed to be from people with lower end machines, so I figured that with my Athlon 1.3, 512 MB memory, 64 MB video card, I wouldn't have a problem. Wrong!

I've NEVER had so many problems with any software application before. It locks up on launch. It locks up in the middle of the game. It locks when the sun's out. When it's cloudy. Get the picture? The game simply doesn't run well.

Go read reviews on Lionhead's website, and you'll see many of the same comments. To date, no officially supported patches are available, but you can download a "developers version". It's as buggy as the original release.

My advice: stay away from this game unless you're willing to drive yourself mad trying to get it to run.

Summary: Good,Bad . Black or White
Review: This game is good for some things but for others no preety not, this game is to choose between being a bad or a good god some cool things are: 1-Throw the villagers. 2-burn dead people. 3-saving people. and more... But the controls are to hard to do miracles moving the mouse in different ways. This game is good but beware with some bugs and it can contain innadictive portions of black boring skies.
