Summary: This game is the frigging best PC game I have ever played
Review: .... and I have played a lot! ... I bought it 2 1/2 years ago and it is the ONLY game that I ever pull back off my shelf to play. And now I have discovered multiplayer action, which is even more compelling.

There is a ton of strategy and the story is very, very interesting. There are 5 gods, and each one bestows upon you different creatures and different spells. You can play the game a thousand times and come out with completely different scenarios, although the end level is always the same. The pace can be frenetic, but it's always interesting and fun. I would recommend this game to anyone. Simply the best ever and I have been playing since the days of Wizardry and Ultima I.

The only drawback is that they are not making a Sacrifice 2. I wish that they would.

Summary: One of the most original games I have ever played
Review: Can't decide what type of genre you want to play? Role playing? Strategy? Action?

Whatever your preference, this game is for you. Intelligently, it uniquely combines all aspects of all genres so that you're pretty much commanding a small army up close and personal. I'm surprised that this game never got to be well known.

It's a shame that this game is pretty much unheard of; All who have played it seemed to immensely enjoy it. I sometimes wish this game was more popular than it was.

Summary: A accurate reveiw
Review: I have played many games for the PC and this is a very good one. The graphics are stuning and the environment and storyline are superb. There are some problems though. This game is among the hardest I've ever played. In it I'm just able to get past the first two misions until I used cheats though. There are many different ways to begin this game and end it but also you need a very good graphics card or everything will be in blue and gray. But if you have a good graphics card and are up for hour of fun and challenging play, this is a must buy

Summary: Breathtaking and Brilliant in Every Way
Review: Sacrifice is a real-time strategy game with expanded capabilities. Fully 3D environments, with some of the most incredible graphics of it's time make up only a small portion of it's impressive arsenal. This game successfully bridges the gap between strategy and action gaming.

MyStats:

.A complex, dinamic story line executed marvelously in all elements: voice acting, plot twists, and an incredibly flexible course of action throughout gameplay which affects your decisions...forcing you to make hard choices which in turn result in different rewards. The dialogue is incredibly written.

.The music is brilliant. In fact I'd almost go so far as to say this is the best soundtrack for game and film alike. It's not like me to say this lightly either. I'm always severely aware of the music in any media. Sacrifice surpasses all else with it's beautifully constructed symphonic orchestral soundrack, worthy of the highest praise. Rendered smoothly, and meticulously complex in design, Incredibly intense battle sequences complemented by surreal soundscapes for the quiet moments. I found myself getting lost in the music and completely conformed to it's will.

.The gameplay is equally enthralling. Controlling your armies becomes second nature...and I, personally, had no trouble learning how to guide them, as so many other reviews will say. I found the design very straightforward and easy to get the hang of.
Over the course of the game, your wizard becomes more and more powerful, according to the arts of your chosing. You may serve one of five gods. Ultimately you can only please one, so chose wisely. By pleasing a specific god you gain the knowledge he/she is willing to pass to you at the level you'r currently at. As you may have guessed, this allows for a completely different game each time you play it, as you may serve the god of slaughter at one time, or the goddess of life another, or any of the gods inbetween.
The game is beautifully designed with magnificent concepts...rendered to perfection. Astounding use of strategy and action/adventure melded into one game. Did I mention it's fun as hell?
The game was clearly influenced by Dante's Inferno...which is a great work of the horror of imagination. But as to where Dante's vision of pergatory and paradise recede in multitude and thus in value, Sacrifice does not. The game is beautiful in it's ethereal realms.

.The graphics and imagery are astounding. If you have a high end system this game is a god send....if you still stick to old ways, the game is still playable and smooth. Many have critisized the game for having such high demands on system resources. But these setting were meant to keep the game from being outdated. And here we are in the future of this game, and I doubt as many people would dare critisize the need for 800mhz and 128RAM now. So be silent you wraiths! begone. This game is worthy of the highest praise available.

All in all, there are a million reasons this game is great and no reasons to state otherwise. The imagery and concepts are very well thought out and expertelly executed. The magnificent music, powerful gameplay, stunning conclusions, immense choices all add up to the best game of 2000, along with "Giants: Citizen Kabuto" which I aslo highly recommend. This game is fresh and innovative, brilliantly new and mastered into perfection.

Summary: Definitely one of the best 3-D games of all time.
Review: Let's face it. There are tons and tons of horrible games out there... we gamers only have a limited amount of money to spend. And thus, we all hope reviews would be helpful. I have played 3D games including Unreal, Requiem, Doom, etc. But none can't equal Sacrifice. Maybe it's because I hate the confinement, running around lost inside dungeons all day. In Sacrifice, you control armies of fantastic creatures outdoors. Outside in lush beautiful exotic dream-like landscapes. Ever seen the movie Braveheart? Ever played the game Myth? Ever want to control and charge a huge army straight into enemy lines and obliterate it? You will see all the gore as well. The game editor also allows you to create your own huge beautiful dream world that you can run around in. And unlike all the unhappy Mac users, this PC version is VERY stable :) And for the price of 3 Big Macs or so, this game is very very worth it right now! Now comes the bad thing about this game. The only thing I am very upset about. Sacrifice is a game where you put excellent designers with horrible ones. The developers who created the landscapes, backgrounds, story, etc... are all genuises. But the ones who designed the creatures and characters need to stop working in the gaming industry. I mean, some of the wizards you have to choose from are cool, but most are just plane uncreative. Some of the fantastic monsters you can command are awesome looking, but many are very stupid indeed. Maybe thats just my own opinion. ... Anyway, I only own a few games, and this one will stay in my collection forever.

Summary: Innovative and exciting.
Review: So what genre is Sacrifice. Well, it really can't be given an exact genre. If you were to though, it would be fast-paced action. In Sacrifice your alter is your base. There are two resources, souls and mana. Mana is gained by putting a structure on the mana fountains found on the map. Souls are gained either by finding the scattered souls on the map or the red enemy souls of the enemy. These souls need to be transferred to your souls, this means you must summon a guy to convert them. The highlight of Sacrifice is its high level spells. These spells include Bore (puts a huge hole in the ground), Volcano, Death (the grim reaper comes out and kills as many beasts as possible), Tornado, and a vine spell that picks up all the beasts around and throws them off at extreme heights. The gaming world needs more spells like these, they are incredible and extremely fun to use. Unlike most RTS's, battle can only make someone stonger instead of weaker. You also have creatures you can summon, some extremely strong. An incredibly innovative game.

Summary: Great strategy/RPG/magic game
Review: I really enjoyed Sacrifice quite a lot. The plot is very interesting, and the player is able to make choices along the way that affect the game play. There are a variety of creatures to do battle with, and figuring out the best ways to complete each given task is a great deal of fun.

I found the game to be very stable, the graphics of excellent quality, and the soundtrack very enjoyable. The "Latin" spoken in the spells is somewhat silly, but forgiveable. The tutorial provided with the game is an excellent way to learn the somewhat complex controls, but once they become habit, whipping through like a pro is no problem at all.

The grande finale is a bit tiresome, but overall, I have very few complaints with the game, and will assuredly run through it again, even though I've played it several times already. It's a little difficult to classify...somewhere between strategy/fantasy/RPG/something else. One commands one's "troops" strategically, but there are obvious fantasy and RPG elements, too. It's a very nice, complex game.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys sorcery stuffs.

Summary: Best game ever
Review: I got this game more than a year ago and I still play it and enjoy it just as much as I did back in december 2000. Isn't that proof enough that this is one of the best game ever made for the PC?

Summary: Great game, but you can get it for much less!
Review: The game is absolutely amazing. Pure fun for months, but ($$$) for a game that came more than a year ago is quite expensive.
I don't wanna ruin things for Amazon, it's a really good place, but you can get this game for ($$$). Now that's a good price for a fabulous game.

Summary: Up there with Half-life, BG2 and The Sims
Review: This game is so great there are so many great things about this. I you like rpg's and action and strategy get this now. It is great it combines so many different aspects of different game types and the story lines are amazing. I beat if with Charnel first and I'm going to beat it with all the other gods. The gameplay is also so different in a great way. The view works great. It is awesome how you kill and enemy wizard. Destroy his alter and then kill him. And the level creater comes with this is so easy to use it is a little harder than the age of empires level creator. The graphics are stunning they are as good or even better than on the box. Anoter thing that made this game so great is that is is so origional this stands in a cagegory of its own leaving many games way in alone. Get this game now and you'll definately not regret it.
