Summary: Pretty good!
Review: This was game, was slightly dissapointing, it was good to start with, but I quickly became bored, the objects were very limited, and I felt the game was finished in a hurry, however, it is a sims game so I dare say that the game is bad. Bacause Sims will always Sims and I like them!

Summary: Pleased after the Vacation disappointment
Review: I like this expansion pack. I love the gardening option. Of course, everyone was begging for pets, and we got 'em! Lots of them. The only downfall is the homes seem to become a zoo for neighbors pets and strays. My carpool gets stuck in the road for an hour waiting for the animals to move off the road. All in all this is 100% better than Vacation.

Summary: What do you want to do with your sims?
Review: It depends on what you want to do with your sims as to whether you will like this expansion pack. There are new items which is great, new floors and walls. The garden factor is a little hard since animals immediately start tearing your garden to pieces and you have to buy a cat or two to get rid of the rabbits, then you get mice which the cats will sometimes hunt and sometimes not. I have preferred to not plant a garden - too much trouble.There are some new houses and more lots - this is a great feature of the expansion pack. Most of the animals are good, except they require lots of work on the part of your sim. If you have lazy sims like I like to have, this is an added responsibility.

Summary: Fun, and very addictive, but runs into the same problems
Review: Okay, by now, we all know what The Sims is. The perfect people simulator that lets you take total control of an actual family. You have to build their house, buy their necesseities and wants, make sure they have skills so they don't fall on their face, or, in worst cases, die, etc. There are a ton of things that you can do in The Sims. The Sims have been also expanded alot. Instead of a full-blown sequal, the people at Maxis have decided to expand their original Sims with more than 4 expansion packs, each giving the Sims even more to do. Enter Sims Unleashed. Now the Sims have pets, or can have pets, and your Sim has to keep them happy, or they can actually leave your Sim for good. Cats, dogs, iguanas, snakes, birds. You name it, it's probably in here. The Sims can now have a garden, growing their own root vegetables. And where can they get all this stuff? The Old Town. Unleashed expands in your neighborhoods again, letting you have a mixture of community and residential lots. Instead of adding neighborhoods, though, they expand on the ones that are in the more core games of the Sims. Thus, now a full 41 lots are avaliable. All of this is very good, and I recommnend it to anyone who has loved the Simulation genre for awhile. However, while playing, you will run smack dab into the same problem that has plagued the core Sims for two years. First, it seems like your Sims never get a day to relax. They are always needing to go to work, or make friends, and you only have one day to skip work (two days in a row, and you get your walking papers). It would be nice if the employer gave you a few days where you didn't have to come to work, or for the kids to have a few days off from school. However, that's not a key issue to many. The issues starts when the Sims take FOREVER to do a simple action when trying to get TO what you want them to preform the action on. If something is in their way, then they will either try to find another way, or, even worse, the action will be forgotten altogether. All this time, and the Sims still haven't had the chance to learn how to move things out of their way, or tell someone to move (if someone is in their way, a Sim may just sit there and wait until nightfall until deciding to just give up waiting). This is the most annoying thing in the Sims, and it's even more fustrating when Maxis doesn't even acknowledge the problem and address it. The other main problem from the core game: the graphics. It's aging, FAST. Either Maxis should buckle down and just make a full-blown sequal, or find some way, in the next expansion, to improve the graphics engine for the original one. Now to the key problems in Unleashed, all of which can be ignored, but still will loom a black spot over it. First, why can't I control the pet myself? The pet is totally free will, and the only thing you can do with your pet that it doesn't do itself is to say for it to go to a certain spot in the house. It would've been nice to be able to tell your pet to take a nap, or to play, or to hunt, or something. Secondly, is it me or are making friends unecessarily harder in this expansion that it was with all the others? Even if you are best friends with someone, it'll take several tries before you can even do simple actions such as hug them in Unleased, whereas it was very easy in Hot Date and Vacation (which had the exact same social engine). Sure, we love a challenge, but was this really necessary to do? And then, the one thing that may really turn people away completly: this thing is a hardware HOG. First, if you don't have a good video card, and a good amount of space on your hard drive (say, 1.6 Gigs with Unleashed ALONE), then Maxis says too bad, so sad to you. It'll run awfully slow (this was the same thing that people understandably complained about with the recent expansions), and even on higher-end systems, it'll STILL take a toll on it. Especially in the Downtown, Old Town, and Vacation Island lots. And maybe 600 MB for Hot Date and Vacation was necessary to get all of what it had in it to your Sims game, but 1.6 GB for Unleashed, which really doesn't expand that much more than the former two expansions, sounds just plain ridiculous, and, in many cases, it is, and unnecessary. Also, Unleashed has it's glitches, as with the other expansions, but every computer game is bound to have it's missed bugs, no matter how hard the testing guys try to catch all of them. Maxis does a good job, though, at addresses these glitches (such as memory leaks, not sitting down to watch TV, floods going beneath objects), and release a patch to fix alot of these problems. Even though you will get tired of the Sim world after awhile, WHEN you will is a good question. Despite it's key problems which Maxis fails to even see, The Sims is still a solid, addictive game which will worm into the hearts of many gamers, and Unleashed will just add to the fun. If you can excuse the problems, you'll find a wonderful expansion in Unleashed.

Summary: Unleashed needs to be restrained from the public
Review: Ok the first and worst problem I had with this game is that it is too dagum big. If you have all the other expansion packs as well, it is just way too much for a computer that isn't brand spankin' new. My computer is a year old, I have all the expansion packs, and it was way too much. I had to uninstall the whole Sims. there really doesn't need to be so many neighborhoods. The CONCEPT of Unleashed is alright, but it needed lots of work. Also, strays that walk around are annoying. why would a stray dog open the door of your house and walk on in? It is hard to train your animals, much harder than taking care of a child or something (which is unreal!). There is a racoon that comes around in the middle of the night and for some reason his mere presence wakes up everyone;it also plays the same music for this that plays when there is a burglar. The idea of the game gets an A plus (just because The Sims itself is so phenomenal and fun) but the execution of it gets a C.

Summary: Another great expansion for a great game
Review: When I heard that the sims could have pets I got excited. I went out and bought the expansion pack and was truly impressed it. I've tried all the expansion packs now (excluding Vacation) and I am impressed with the imagination Maxis creators have. They have come up with so many new ideas to make the original game so interesting.
The most impressive part of the game is that there are now 40 new lots to build on! Compared to 10. That is a great way to enhance your playing experience. The game is somewhat more challenging when it comes to the social meters of your sims. There are so many more options for social interactions that you have to work a little harder to find out which social interactions work the best between different sims.
Through and through this is a great game and a must have for any avid sims player like myself.

Summary: Awesome Game!
Review: Another new game for the Sims line, Unleashed is definately the best yet. You can buy many new pets such as 8-10 different kinds of dogs, 8-10 different kinds of cats, birds, fish, and much more. There is also a whole new setup in the neighborhood, and a brand new farmer's market and pet store. Like always, there is still a spot to build your own shop or store.There are many more items, including beds, toys, food bowls, and more for your pets. Now, not only can your Sims earn points, but your pets can too! Cats and dogs can both learn obedience and trick points. Cats can learn an additional hunting, and dogs can learn housebreaking. You can take your pets to the new Park, and enter them in shows. Your placement depends on how many points your pets have. Again, this is another great game from Maxis, and I am waiting for more expansion packs. I am also waiting to buy/receive(Christmas is getting closer!) The Sims Online.

Review: When I first purchased this game I thought it would be more than it really was. First the good things, while it's obvious that you get pets you will soon get tired of feeding Fido. Some of the new objects are pretty cool, but most aren't. I thought that the load time takes too long! I would not recommend this game at all! Don't waste your money on it!!(..)

Summary: A very buggy game
Review: I have owned all the previous sims expansions and never really ever had a problem with the game crashing, that is until I installed this expansion. Every time I play it, I crash out. I cannot play for more than 20 minutes. I can't go to the new pet area, and when I could, it went incredably slow. The game's concept would be great, but it runs so poorly, Maxis should have fixed their bugs before releasing it. Take a risk, maybe it will work on your computer, or maybe it will fry your hard drive.

Review: This game is fun.. all the Sims games are fun.. But, the more games you get, the slower the game goes. When i first downloaded it and started playing it there were like 20 of the same person (he was cloned!! lol)... this happened when i tried to scroll and the man who was on the corner of the screen just mulitiplied.. but then they all disappeared except the one man. Soon, i deleted a lot of files so it runs faster. Overall, though, this game is okay. You don't really get to do a lot with the animals though. Just spank them when they pee on your ground...... For the best Sims Game stick with Hot Date!
