Review: this is the best money that I have spent. I can't get enough. This is a great game because it has a quality that few games have, you never know how much time has gone past. It may seem that only 10 minutes have gone by and it is really a hour. This is a must have item.

Review: this is an extremly good game. i bought it when it first came out about 2 years ago. and i have been playing eversince. it is extremly fun after u get the hang of it. i find myself playing and totally losing track of time. i start playing at 3 and i finish at 5:30 without even realizing it. this is a awsome game and it is a steal at ... bucks for the battle chest. (which comes with everything both starcraft the expansion set and the stragadey guides.

Review: Nothing spells fun like sending massive amounts of mindlessly willing hordes of troops into battle with each other in a cartoonie battlefield. There isn't very much strategy in this realtime "strategy" game, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun. Even the most intellectual and logical of us would break a sweat trying to manage his resources while at the same time trying to horde together an army of super-upgraded killing machines. "Gotta get those 50 Archons together before he comes back with 400 Zerglings!" It would be nice sometimes to actually use my brain during a starcraft match, but ultimately, whoever has the most stuff and the most upgrades researched will win with a massive horde rush. Oh well, better build more Zerglings.

Review: Build zerglings. Send zerglings after enemies. Zerglings died? Just build more. Who needs strategy in a real time strategy game anyway? This game is very cartoonie, and although the "strategy" in this game often involves a simple horde rush or two, it is quite fun. Unfortunately, those who try to make the game more strategic than that horde rush often get overtaken by those who either recognize the effectiveness of the rush or are just to dumb to try anything else. *Sigh* I guess i better build more zerglings.

Review: I have been playing this game for over 3 years and it still is not boring. Battle.net (multiplayer) is so much fun and their are so many different types of games. Starcraft has so many strategies and uses of its units that I am still learning today! This is a must buy, trust me you will not regret it.

Review: The battle chest is a great way to get both Starcraft and it's expansion BroodWar, together the make one of the best combat / strategy games. If you don't own Starcraft buy the battle chest and get all the extras. They will help you enjoy the game fully. If you already own Starcraft unless you really want the two strategy guides just buy the expansion pack Broodwar instead. Starcraft really needs to be played with the expansion; it adds more depth to both the game and tactics with new missions and new units. The basic game play is pretty easy to pick up and if you play the single player missions in order you'll quickly learn the strengths and weaknesses of each troop type. Then the fun really begins when you battle against real opponents across the Internet. After you have played the single player missions you'll have your favorite race either Terran, Protos or Zerg. You'll come up with your own tactics on how to deal with your opponents There is a huge on-line community out there defending the 'Honor' of each respective race. Buy the game and come play. This game came out back in 1998 and it is still being played now. Few games can say they have that lasting appeal. The battle Chest is 100% value for money
