Summary: Save the Worst for last
Review: Don't get the wrong impression from my title. House Party is a good game; it's just the worst of the Sims expansion packs. You should definitely get this expansion pack if you want to get the most out of your Sims, but if you have a limited amount of money and want the best bang for your current buck I highly suggest getting Hot Date, Livin' Large or Vacation. However I must add that if you do get the others and plan on getting this one the expansions have to be installed in the correct order (Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation).
Basically I'm saying it's a good game but if you're choosing which expansion you want go with this one last.

Summary: I wish I could give this game more than 5 stars
Review: Maxis has done it again!! This is such a great game. If you have The Sims, House Party is a must-have.

Throw parties with all the people in your neighborhood or just with a few friends. But makse sure everyone is happy and having fun, or else the ever-unpopular Tragic Clown or the annoying French Mime will--or I probable should say will make a failing attempt to-- entertain your guests.

Of course, with so many great new objects, keeping guests entertained should be fairly easy. New skins, objects, and house decor are available. I hope that your sim has a good paying job, because there is so much that you will desire to buy!!

You love the Sims, you really need this expansion pack. All the sleepless nights it will cause are worth it. ;-)

Summary: Another great add-on
Review: This second expansion pack for 'The Sims' will set you off again on what is perhaps the most addictive game ever made. There are plenty of extra objects for around the house but the real focus here is on parties. Now you can throw your own party for the whole neighbourhood. Obviously doing this is risky - will your party be a success or a failure? The new party objects include a DJs booth, a dance floor, a camp fire and punch bowl among others. You can even hire a caterer to make sure everyone gets fed. And if you're really lazy a butler can now be hired to clean up after you.

If you've become bored of 'Living It Up' then this expansion pack will get you started again. Arguably the best part of the new features is that now your parties can have a theme, such as Hawaiian or Roman. The costume trunk provides some excellent fancy dress. Plus you can even get a celebrity guest drop by or, if your party's dull as ditchwater, a mime. This really is worth getting, only being outdone by 'Hot Date'.

Summary: Good but not Great
Review: It's an expansion pack I wouldn't skip, but then again I won't skip any expansion pack. Only a few more items, flooring, clothes, and that's about it. I'd get it, if only for the cake dancers, new party furniture, haunted house set and western set. It's... pretty good.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Very Good game.
Review: This its just that most of the objects you don't need. But its partys are cool. There's also over 100 new objects and new carecters like the celeberty gust, the mime, cater, clown zappers, cake dancers and more.

Summary: Pump up the Jam for The Sims!!!! =)
Review: It's the party of the year for the game of the year and you're the host! You decide if it's time for your Sims to hoedown a country bar dance, chow down at a tropical luau, or go underground at a rave! Will you're party be a smash or a snore? I don't know-- find out for yourself! Lot's of new outfits that are so 2000 and lots of party decorating options like, tropical luau decorations, barn dance decor, smash hit parties, and more! Disco dance floors, dance cages, turn tables, cake dancers, balloons, cake, and soooo much more! Jazz it up with your Sims and their guests! Have a rockin' time!

Summary: Let's get the Party Started!
Review: The Sims: House Party Expansion pack adds a new way to socialize with neighboors! It takes the realism of The Sims to new levels! The new decor themes make a whole unique way to rock your sim's house, and it doesn't end at that! There are limitless possibilities that you can think about! But I gave HP 4/5 rating because it really doesn't add up to a whole lot of fun. In my point of view, I think Livin' Large delivered a whole lot more to The Sims. But it doesn't make House Party less of a fun game, so it's also worth the price!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Nice objects, but doesn't stack up to other expansions.
Review: These objects are really fun, but I definately prefer Livin' Large and Hot Date to House Party. If you really want these objects, I would suggest downloading variations from the net.

Summary: THE SIMS w/ More Choices and More Fun!
Review: THE SIMS EXPANSION: HOUSE PARTY breathes new life into the addictive phenomenon known as THE SIMS. In addition to the many new toys that are offered (such as a magic chest, mechanical bull, and bubble-blowing machine, among other goodies), there are many brand-new surprises. Unfortunately, I have not been able to throw a truly successful party yet, but I'm still trying! When you choose to "Throw Party", make sure that your Energy level is high--I mean, you don't wanna fall asleep at your own party, do ya? Also, if your party starts getting dull, a mime--yes, mime--shows up and begins to annoy your fellow party-goers. If you ask him to leave, he refuses. At this point, you had better start sending your guests home because after a while the mime starts taking and breaking stuff. It's really funny, but also kind of irritating at the same time. A really cool surprise occasionally happens, such as an unexpected visit by a celebrity. I had Drew Carey over once; that was sweet!

There is much more variety in home furnishings and decorations than ever before. In fact, it's a quantum leap from LIVIN' LARGE: Wallpaper, flooring and furniture now comes in Old-West style (for those nostalgic for 19th-Century Texas) and Tiki style (for those who like an island twist). Of course, these are in addition to the Medieval and Victorian styles which already existed. Then there are the stairs: for the very first time in THE SIMS, you can now install a pair of teleporters to go between floors. Way cool! :)

Listen, if you're a big fan of THE SIMS, you know that you need to get this if you haven't yet! Because the next expansion pack REALLY rocks...(to be continued)
