Summary: The Sims is very addictive!
Review: I have purchased these Sim games: The Sims, House Party, Hot Date, and Livin' Large. The games are all very very fun! However, I got bored with them, and until I bought another expansion pack I never played them. This is a highly ingenious game, but rather an expensive play.

Summary: Great!
Review: The Sims was the best PC game to ever hit stores, and the House Party expansion lives up to it's name. House Party is one of the more "enticing" sims games, and for the first time, ravers can celebrate about an expansion! This is because now, there is the ability to throw parties, which is just inviting several people over to your house at once, and the cool feature to build clubs within your home. There are awesome objects to accompany this, with stuff that any club-hopper would enjoy like a DJ set, a dance cage, and a dance floor. There are also new bars and three new themes-rave, western, and tropical, which is kind of like a Hawaiian Luau area of the game. All of the themes have objects, skins, and design tools for the complete building experience! This pack is also better than Livin' Large, and it has not the best gameplay from the expansion to The Sims, but it has the best objects. For a fan of the Sims who loves to throw virtual parties, the House Party expansion is a must-buy!

Summary: So many options
Review: The Sims is a fun game, but it lacked that little something. Now you can have that little something, a party! The title kind of explains itself as you do have house parties and invite all your friends in the neighbourhood to take part! There are loads of extras too, like if you get a swinging party going Drew Carrey turns up to dance! And a ghost will appear when you tell a campfire story when you have a bit of charisma. There are loads of hidden "cheats" for the game too. Like if you explore your Sims files in your compter you can put your own .mp3 files into the radio stations folders and listen to your favorite music while playing the Sims! I suggest this for anyone who has thier favorite music .mp3 files on your computer (who hasn't?). This is the essential purchase for The Sims, get it as soon as possible.

Summary: A great game
Review: This is a great game. There are tons of cool new items and clothes to dress your sims in. You can throw a party but wath out for the mime who dosn't leave until all your guests leave. If you know the right cheat code you can get you sims $$$$$$$$$$$.This is a BIG step up from the sims which you need to play the sims house party. This game is worth EVERY PENNY. I was very satisfied with this game and you will be too if you buy this game.

Summary: The SIMS can party!
Review: This is a great expanson pack for the SIMS because it adds the posibilty to have more friends and meet more people by throwing parties. Not only can the SIMS now dance they can have 'female' entertainment and much more. My favorite new item in this game is the light up disco floor and the dance cages. This is soooo much fun for almost any one. I love the SIMS and I think this is one of their best games yet.

Summary: A great Game ( Sorry about the typos)
Review: I'm a major sims fan i now own 4 of them. House party was great much like all of them. In house party you have the choice to buy cool lights like the floor lights in disco and wall lamps too. you can also buy a Dj's stand and tones of speckers to fill your house with tunes. Also you can have celebertys come to your house, for example i had drew carrey come once. but most of the time only mimes will come. you can them your partys too you can have tropical, hodown, disco and future. This game comes with tons of new wallp[aper and floors. there are also bong like buble blowers and stripe like people you can buy. Any way this game rocks the house.

Summary: Get This Party Started
Review: What can I say this game is the best (a little slow) but fun, you get a ton of new stuff including new jobs and activities. Plus of course a party, all you need is some people, some food, with a dash of music and fun, and you have a recipe for a great party (and if you have a big enough party you'll have some stars come over and join in.
Get this game if you want a party and your parents said you can't have one.

Review: It's lots of fun-- I did have some bugs in this game however.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Short and to the point! (3.5 stars by the way)
Review: Okay, I am going to TRY to keep this review "short and sweet"... first off, if you are thrown off by three stars, realize that I don't go handing out five-star reviews like some other reviewers. In case you didn't know, I gave The Sims 5 stars, Livin' it up 4.1(even tho it just says 4), Hot Date 4.4, and Vacation 4.5. But that's not what this review is about, so I will start reviewing...
At the core, the "Throw Party!" option on the new payphone is just "mass invite". It's basically the same thing as calling up each person one by one on the phone and selecting "invite", only it's a lot faster. However, this almost takes away from the realism and fun because you could, in theory, just spend 1-4 hours (depending on how many people inhabit your neighborhood) calling up your neighbors instead of dishing out 30$ for an expansion pack. This is where the items come in.
The main items that are revolutionary are the mechanical bull, camp fire, bubble machine, dance floor/cages, and DJ booth. If you first take a look at these items and aren't impressed, just try thinking of the different possibilities they create... otherwise, just drool.
I would NOT, repeat NOT reccommend using cheats to acquire all the items you could want and throw the ultimate party. It's VERY rewarding to piece together your party setup slowly, day by day, going from a mime party to a mediocre party to an okay party to a fun party to the ULTIMATE BASH!!! And folks, it only takes about 6 hours of gameplay to get a six person family as rich as you could want (just remember, you only get fired if you miss TWO days in a row, so if you go only every other day and build up your skills, a promotion could come quite easily).
Anyhow, here come the downsides: once you get tired of seeing a group of Sims ride mechanical bulls, blow bubbles, sing songs and tell campfire stories, and stay up all night partying, there's not much you can do to keep it from getting boring... however, I have made a list to keep your party fun goin'!!
1)Build five semi-houses in your lot: three for the new themes (country, Hawaiian, and Rave), one for the bathroom facilities, and one for your sims to sleep and eat and build up their skills in.
2)Go to work one day, party the next, etc. etc.
3)Download items off the internet(only a few at a time, however, so you can appreciate them and make sure they work).
4)Try going from family to family, each family having its own theme
5)And most importantly: DON'T CHEAT!!! EVER!! Cheating is for those six year-olds who can't raise a family properly.

You still may be wondering why this only got 3.5 stars.
-More of the same thing with only a minor element changed
-Gets depressing to stay at home. Going downtown or on vacation beats a party anyday.
-Other expansions offer more
-I'm not quick to give out good reviews!

Only would I reccommend this game if you have already purchased the other expansion packs. In conclusion, this game still has that "old feel".

Summary: This game is one of Maxis' best expansions!
Review: House Party is awsome!

Good things about House Party:

1. You can throw parties.

2. More neighborhoods.

3. More looks, and faces.

4. Lots of new objects (example: dance cage)

5. You can call caterers for serving food at your party.

6. Group activites.

Bad things about House Party:

1. Not enough new items for you and your party.

2. No new reactions.

3. You can't call specific people to invite to your party.

4. You can't do lots of things at your party.

5. You still can't go out of your house. (unless you go to your backyard)
