Summary: Pretty good
Review: This is a great EP...with this expansion Maxis has brought back the ability to hug your children...which they took away in Hot date...and do many other things with your children.
The interactions are great too although if you havent Hot Date already you'll have to get use to not being able to use some actions with other characters more than 3 times in 80 sim minutes.
The Vacation area is well thought out and put together however it doesnt hurt to tinker with the original layout a bit and add beds and better toilets.
The only downfall is the slow loading time...you spend at least 5 minutes waiting for the game to load. But you can do a few exercises during that time and make up for the next 4 hours you'll spend playing this great game.
I recommend it after you've bought at least Living Large and House Party:)

Review: I REALLY love The Sims. I've purchased all of the expansion packs to date. And Vacation seems like it will be a lot of fun--once Maxis works the bugs out. If you go to their message board they are the first to admit they are having some problems and we should "bear with them" I will be REALLY happy when a patch comes out so my maid doesn't clean my shower for 10 hours!If you love The Sims, you will definitely want this expansion pack--something new and exciting for the little guys (and gals!) to do. But you might want to wait until Maxis comes out with a patch, to save yourself some frustration.

Summary: I like it.. but why the 30 dollars every time I buy one?
Review: I have bought every sims game as soon as they have come out. I am also very addicted to it and luckily I can only play it at someone else's house, or I would be on all of the time. The problem is, I find myself spending all of this money on these games, when there is not much that is different. Yes, there are places to go (camping, snow, beach) and yes, you can do different things, (water balloon fights, snowball fights, archery, barbecue, hot tubbing) it just doesn't seem like its worth the money every time. Maybe if they would charge 10 dollars less! I guess it doesn't really matter because people would buy it anyway, including me ;) Anyway, that matter taken is care of.
I think my favorite part of these expansion packs are the new objects! There's more furniture, ways to interact with people, new paint, floors, walls, everything! That is the best part... because.. when it all comes down to it, i think my favorite part of it is to build new and different housing.
Unfortunately, when you go on vacation, it runs pretty slow because all of the people are walking around and there are a lot of graphics. (Those that have hot date will probably be used to this) Something else i like is that you can take your whole family, a friend, or a significant other on vacation with you! Anyway, its pretty fun so far... how are they going to top this?

Summary: The best out of them all!
Review: Let me tell you this! This expansion is by far the best out of them all! I just got it today and I'm lovin' it! First off there aren't so many new items in the house, but the ones they have added are great! Some of them include a new hot tub, patio loungers and suvinior holders. To get to Vacation island you call a cab and it takes you to a map like on Hot Date, there are 3 areas for each of the following; snow, forrest and beach!
I liked the beach the most cause first off there's a great arcade centre where you can win tokens which you can exchange for prizes, there's a sand building kit which they love, a metal detector (mine have only found a boot and 14 simoleons), a cool pool slide, play volley ball, and so much more! The forrest was alot of fun too. You can rent a tent or play archery, have a water balloon fight and fish, and so much more! The snow scene is fun too, there is snowboarding, a snow slide, also an arcade, snowman kit and snowball fights.I'm so happy that they have finally made it possible for kids to interact more. They can play rough house, rock,paper,scisors, they can hug their parents and their parents can scold them if they are a pain! There is so much too do! The kids can also finally buy clothes and there is a whole new winter wardrobe as well! The director is also very helpfull with anything you might need and the cute kid entertainers are just waiting for a hug! It does work really slowely at times and I don't think the fast forward thing works on holiday but other then that it's the greatest!

Review: i thought sims vacation was not as good as hot date cause when vacation's on then u forget about hot date which hot date is better and i think that u should do the sims where they can go to prison or be able to smoke and have beer.

Summary: wonderful expansion pack!
Review: The Sims: Vacation is a wonderful expansion pack. When I purchased it I was not expecting such a fun time. Usually I'll buy a new game, play it for an hour, and then quit until the next day but as soon as I started to play I was slowly drawn away from my world into the computer generated world of the Sims. I played vacation all night and just about all day the next day. Even though Spring Break is over now, I still play it as much as possible. I hadn't bought any of the other expansion packs before vacation so I was shocked at how much things had progressed. When my friend came over to play we couldn't keep away from the computer. I would reccomend this game to anyone but before you go and buy it just note this: with all the new features vacation has it will keep you up all night!

now you get a great pond with shrubbery, frogs on lily pads, and DuCKS!!!
i love when the parents pick up the kid so they can put the hat on the snow man etc

Summary: The Best ever sims!!!
Review: The game is cool. The people who are complaining about not having enough money are wrong. All you need to know is the cheats. One that gets you a lot of money is type ctrl shift c. then rosebud. then enter. then type ctrl shift c then type !;!;!;!; and the more you type it the more money you get but when you do it dont click enter just go !;!;!;!;;; then hold the enter key down. Then you will have no problem with money. So if it's because of other rewiews saying you lose lots of money well don't listen to that. Over all its the best expansion yet

Review: I have all of the Sims games, and I have to tell you, this one is really the best. To get to plan your Sims to go on a family trip is what I would call a "real" vacation. Something new for a change with the Sims series, and this is for the whole family to enjoy. So anyone who is having second thoughts about this upgrade, buy it, you'll love it...

Summary: Best Expansion Pack
Review: This is the best expansion pack for "The Sims"....what I best like about this game is that you can "save" the game while you are on vacation...you could continually play in vacation mode if you want to, your Sims never need to go home again! We all could use a perminent vacation once in a while...I also like the ideas of fishing and the metal detectors, and volleyball is a good time too......by the way if you place the love beds in the resorts your Sims can have other fun too! The new music is also enjoyable....
What I don't like is that more than one family (from your neighborhood) cannot vacation in the same place at the same time....also I don't like that your vacationing family is the only one that stays in the resort after hours, no other families stay except the employees....
