From what ive read it seems like a five star to me! of course none of us have played it yet but us simaholics, masters and luvers of this addictive startegy game, have a feeling this ones gonna go poof on the racks at wal*mart! I cannot wait for this one to come out! Summary: Somewhat Sentimental
Review: This is supposed to be the last expansion pack made for the Orginial Sims. This is all us Sims fans have to tide us over until the release of The Sims 2 around March 2004.

Summary: C'mon... It's Supposed to be Life
Review: I have one question for you: Can you turn lawn gnomes into gardeners? Of course not! So why can you do it on The Sims? Who knows... just a "ploy" to get people to buy the newest expansion pack. I don't know about you, but I want my Sims to be normal people, I don't want them having flamingo butlers. I think adding things like casting spells is going to lead Maxis' business into a downward spiral in sells, 'cause I'm not buying this thing!!!

Summary: This is the coolest!
Review: Having been the owner of every expansion pack ever made so far, i am totally excited about this one coming out. The prices are okay, (only being 10 dollars less than the original sims) but they are definately worth it. I think will wright is doing a great job and i cant wait for this one to come out.

Summary: Can't wait for this game
Review: I love the sims games and this sounds like it will be the best ever you go to magic town a sales person sells you a starting magic set you must expand that you can turn you neighbors to frogs but I want to make a skelton become a maid and the gnomes gardeners I also want to make my sim get a million friends I am not sure but if there are new jobs in this expansion pack like how there was in the sims superstars but i hope its a little harder my guy became a superstar in 4 days Rl days from a nobody with no friends only 20k no skills and no personalit pts but i made a yellow potion ( livin Large Exp. Pack ) so it gave her full personality But my point is if you are getting 1 exp pack this is probally the best choice this or unleashed

Summary: Makin' Magic in the treasury at Maxis
Review: I am a big fan of the Sims and own all of the expansion packs. All of them have had success and has added something very unique to the game. The Sims: Makin' Magic Expansion pack is supposedly the last of the Sims, that is, until the Sims 2 is due to release March 15, 2004. I had wished that Maxis' last addition would be the use of cars, bikes, and motorcycles. To me, this last expansion seems like Maxis' afterthought before they come out with Sims 2, which they are promoting a lot. Makin' Magic does not appeal to me because there is already magic in some current expansions. Maxis should be reducing the price of this expansion since it doesn't deserve to be called one.

Summary: Harry Potter takes over
Review: A lot of people r confused about this expansion. superstar was made for workin on ur body, this one is for ur mind. As u can guess by the title of the game, and MY title, its all about magic and bein a wizard. theres a magic town to buy new things such as wands and cauldrons. now if u ask me, this is the result of kids lovin harry potter and Maxis tryin to make money off of it.

Summary: EA Games has announced the "expansion pack finale"
Review: For those of you out there wondering what the sims makin' magic is all about, it is about just that, magic. A MagiCo traveling salesman arrives at the player's house with the magic starter kit and a whole new way to play sims starts. According to a review at gamespot.com (go to gamestop also for additional reviews too) this expansion pack will add a variety of spells and charms that can be unlocked one by one to perform parlor tricks, refresh sims by doing their chores, to enter into magic duels etc. To unlock new spells you will go to Magic Town and there sims will be able to take on quests to earn the most powerful spells to perform at a variety of magic shows, duel with other sims, to earn MagiCoins which will allow them to buy spell ingredients and many other things. There are new characters that sims can trade with and purchase ingredients from, for example, the vampiress, the local apothecary, the faierie queen, gypsy vendors etc. There are a lot of new objects in this expansion pack, magical and non magical. There's a wand charger, charm maker, baker's oven, skeleton closet that houses a maid etc. :)
I have been wondering for some time when EA games was going to come out with an expansion pack like this and I am so happy it is on its way. This is a whole new sims! No more reality! I will be able to zap that garbage easily with one flick of my sims wrist.
I have given myself a break from playing the sims until October, when this expansion pack comes out. Who wants to play the sims the same old way when they can be magical? :)
That's all the information I have for now. I hope it was helpful to you guys out there wondering what all the fuss is about.
One more note, the sims bustin' out expansion will be here around December. I think that is definitely the last expansion pack. Hey, if you love your sims, it is never enough. I read that that one will have 25 specific characters to interact with and also more that a dozen specific houses to visit, like Mortimer's haunted house where they have man eating plants that may kill your sim or just eat your garbage, also a frat house, a club, etc. and a whole new game interaction where your sims starts imitating the behavior of a sim character they've interacted with like towel snapping, burping, pulling fingers etc. :) Bringing it on EA games!! We are ready!!!!!!!!

Happy gaming! :)

Summary: Maxis Needs To Get A Sim Clue
Review: Im a bit torn here. I love playing my sims game, however, Maxis seriously needs to lower the prices of these explansion packs (Im betting they would make even more sales if they would just lower the price by [$$$]), as well as fix all the damn bugs in them. How can they be coming out with yet another expansion pack when they are supposed to be releasing The Sims 2? Im so sick of spending [$$$] a pop for an expansion pack, just to be disappointed again. I dont think I'll be buying anymore.
