Summary: Great fun, hoping for more features
Review: The new features of this game are great additions to the original Roller Coaster Tycoon, yet I think they could have added a few more goodies for the cost of upgrading to a new game (verses an expansion pack). For example, a great compliment to the game would be to include an array of animated elements like ghosts and pirates that could be inserted into dark-rides to create true theme park attractions. (I keep forgetting. We're building Six Flags parks, not Disney.)All the same, it's a truely great game and a must have if you enjoyed the first.

Summary: Good grief
Review: We were looking forward to loving this game. We did love it the first three times we played it. Then it quit working. Click the play button on the splash screen, and nothing happens. The other two buttons still work. But can't play the game. Trying to play the game starts a task with a name that looks suspiciously like a Windows registry key, which hangs and locks up the CDROM drive, and eventually hangs the entire system (hard boot time -- ctrl-alt-del won't even unfreeze it). While we don't have a really new machine, our machine is comfortably above the minimum requirements for playing the game. Uninstall the game (why not? maybe reinstalling will help, yes?). Nope. It won't uninstall. There's some braindead message about an unknown error on an undefined group of files, or something like that. Can't reinstall. The setup program assumes I still want to uninstall. Good grief. So, now, I'm really not looking forward to talking to tech support. Even if it turns out to be simple and quick to fix, this is entirely unacceptable. The rct2 website ... doesn't help -- it seems they actually prefer a phone call, since they don't provide any help on the website. The phone call, no big deal for most, is a problem for the hearing impaired (that would be me). I'll manage, but I'm one severely dissatisfied user at this point, and my 7-year-old son ("Mama, why don't you just fix it?) is even more so. Good grief. Yeah, sure, it looks like a terrific game. I'd love to have been able to give it 5 stars. Really. There's just this one little problem. Good grief.

Summary: Wonder why game is such the same!
Review: The main reason I bought RCT2 was because the original wasn't supported in the XP format. I was severely disappointed with the new game. There were less game options it seemed, many fewer (and less fun) scenarios and the Six Flags rides are a marketing tactic. The advantages are however: a) The new scenario editor that lets you create your own scenario b) The track editor which allows you to build without financial worry and c) The XP format (all of which leave something to be desired). All other changes were superficial. If you have RCT1+Loopy Landscapes/Corkscrew Follies, don't bother with this game. It seems to me that an expansion pack would have worked better (but maybe there wouldn't have been enough for one :-))

Summary: hate the interface
Review: Frustrating game. Guess i lack the patience. I dont like the
way the interface works though. Too hard to correct design mistakes and not very intuitive. I like the way zoo tycoon with its add ons of dinosaurs and marine animals works much better.
Seemed a lot more fun creating interesting designs for your tiger habitat then trying to make this track line up with that track.

Summary: RCT2 Six Flags
Review: Okay , this game is very.....interesting. I own the 1st Roller Coaster Tycoon game and compared to that one , this one its a bit more challenging , has wayy more parks (^_^ YAY!), way more shop stalls ( FINALLY ) , has more of a variety of Entertainers (ya know , the ppl in funny suits that go around and " entertain " ppl) , tons more music for the rides , more roads and enterance lines , more scenery , and also has wayy more rides! Over all its a pretty awesome game (chock full of more stuff) and the only thing I can find annoying about it is the fact that sometimes the music annoys the heck out of me.

Summary: Great Game Can't Stopppppppp Playing
Review: I really love this game i thought about buying it a few time's but didn't know if i could get into it because my ex-boyfriend had played sim's all the time. i really didn't see what the big draw was. Even though this isn't sim's but has the same concept so when my 10 yr old niece came home from the store with it and asked me to play it with her. well let's say i wasn't to thrilled to play but wanted to spend quality time with her so i sat with her and watched her start playing the game and before i knew it i was playing the game with her. she got a little annoyed with me because i started to take over the game. i became so addicted to this game i installed it on my laptop and my niece and i are in a constant battle on who can build the best park (since both LOVE rollercoaster's) i liked the game so much i'm gonna buy zoo tycoon and marine mania i can't wait to get them and see what i can do.
i recommend this game for anybody who love's to ride rollercoaster's and have the ultimate dream to design your own rollercoaster

Summary: A Great Game! A must play! ***** (5 stars)
Review: This game is great! It has better graphics than the first one and the gameplay is better than ever! This game has come a long way to be one of the best games ever! I recommend this game it gets 5 stars from me because i enjoy playing this game, even though i don't have it yet, but I've played the demo and it looks great! The special features are even better including the Rolletcoaster Design Feature which lets you create a rollercoaster without having to deal with money problems and that is a good thing! Also, being able to play in a complete Six Flags Park is really awsome! The new rides are amazing too all the new rollercoaster are fun to build and even building the already built coasters saved in the game. I hope you will like this game as much as I did when I first played it.

Summary: Great Game! ......... with a different LOOK!!
Review: This game is even more exicting because you can now create your own Six Flags Park! There is even editors for you to do. It is a different look of setup and styling on the screen. It is more convent with more slection of rides, food, scenery, and others more. I would recommend this game to any one that liked the before games that Cris Sawyer made! (The game might become slow if you have a Windows 95 or 98, but you will be for sure okay with Windows XP) Pros:
