Summary: Fantastic!
Review: This game will keep you going all night long. I initially played this thing for over 4 hours straight before the wife finally shut it off. The graphics and the rides are wonderful and the presentation is flawless. If you loved the first one, you must own this update.

Summary: Okay
Review: I thought this game was okay. Rollercoaster Tycoon was pretty fun, but this game got old and tiring to quickly. I mean, it's almost the exact same game as Rollercoaster Tycoon 1. You have the same objectives and it's just not that fun. I was a huge fan of Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 when it came out, but then it just wasn't fun anymore. This game was not anywhere near as good as the first one.

Summary: The MOst Exciting Game for Kids And Adults
Review: This is the most fabulous game I had seen in my life (well, maybe 11 years.). This game is truly amazing and you can build all sorts of rides. Even my parents go crackers when they saw this game. Inm y opinion, the money you spend on this item won't be wasted. :)

Summary: OK but not that much different
Review: Well, to start off, this game was OK. It had great new rides, landscape, scenery, and features, it was FUN for a while.
I bought rollercoaster tycoon when it had just come out and all of its expansions and I was hooked. This game is not much different. I just got boerd of so much rollercoaster tycoon. I would not reccomend this game to current rollercoaster tycoon 1 gamers. But I would reccomend it to anyone who doesn't own it. Don't get me wrong, its a great game... but you get tired of it really EASILY for someone who has owned the origianal.

Summary: Relatively Disappointed
Review: Personally, I believe the first RCT was much better than this newer version. This is geared more towards creating things rather then playing the game. Don't get me wrong, the roller coaster builder is great, but you could have done the same thing in that open scenario in RCT.

I also didn't like that only a few scenarios were included with it. They added the option to make your own scenarios, but I like to conquer challenges given to me rather then ones I make myself. You can go to the website and download what they call "more scenarios", which in reality are most of the same ones from RCT plus a few more. Why they didn't add these (or others) in originally, I don't know. Putting in another few (alright, it would actually take a lot more to satisfy me, considering that I had heard that there would be astounding new scenarios waiting for me, while really there weren't) scenarios alone would have made me have an entirely new outlook on the game.

Not only was the game play not living up to my expectations, but also the graphics hardly changed from the first one. RCT's graphics were hardly very good themselves, and RCT2's look like someone forgot all the technology that is now around. A little 3-D would have helped, perhaps.

Perhaps I had RCT2 on a golden platter before I got it because I loved RCT so much, but this was quite a disappointment. All the new features are wonderful, but they just could have done so much more. I was quite angry that I wasted $... on this. I'd stick with the original if I were you, although it's outdated, it really just has more you can do (in my opinion). However, for those of you that don't much like being confined to completing the scenarios, you would probably like RCT2 more.

It's all a matter of opinion, but I don't recommend this.

Summary: Greatest Game Ever Made!!!!
Review: This is the funnest game I've ever played. This version IS MUSCH BETTER THAN THE 1ST! You must buy this, the only feature missing is the ability to ride your own rides in the 1st person, but other than that there is absolutely no reason not to own this game. Rollercoaster fans rejoice, this comes with smarter guests, better rides, better shops, and a better game all together, Heck you can design your own objective! This is a must buy!!! Get it no matter what the costs.

Summary: Fun Game
Review: RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (RCT2) is a fun game. It teaches the principles of running a theme park. A lot of people have said that it is too much like the original but really it isn't. There is a lot added to this game like the scenerio editor and ride design editor. The scenerio editor could be better though. Besides this fact, it is good.

Summary: Beware of Infogrames
Review: I bought a copy of RC 2 for my 11 year old son. It wouldn't install properly and after making the suggestion of "go find some other drivers", the tech support team said "tough luck".

My computer is less than a year old and is a DELL. The Infogrames guys just do not support their product.

Summary: Disappointment
Review: If you like to build roller coasters and scenarios, buy this game. If you just like to play the scenarios and expect to see anything like Roller Coaster Tycoon, don't bother. There aren't extra parks that you open after completing scenarios (which was the gamers reward). And there is too much emphasis on playing the 6-Flags Parks (I guess they must have helped to fund this). Chris Sawyer should have stuck with his original concept and just made an add-on for those obsessive enthusiasts who like to create scenarios. Waste of money for a true gamer.
