Summary: Basically a stand-alone expansion disk
Review: I bought this game at a local retail store yesterday. (It was on the shelves early). Here's the good and bad.
GOOD- New rides, new scenario/coaster builders, guests do a few new things (like watch you build a new coaster)Six Flags parks, faster and higher coasters, new brake blocks cut down on accidents.
BAD- A few bugs here and there (waiting on a patch), Six Flags parks are incomplete (scenario tells you to finish the park yourself!) some real-world rides have different names ("Superman the Escape" becomes "The Escape"), still can't zoom in any closer to your guests, V2 coaster doesn't operate true to original, disk in a paper sleeve (no jewel case)
It may have a new engine, but it looks and acts just like the orginal. I don't feel this is really a sequel, it's more like an expansion.

Review: it is a sweet game when you get the chance get the GAME!it worth the money and if you Roller Coaster Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon the second one and if you liked Roller Coaster Tycoon Loopy Landscapes the latest one yet then you'll love this one even better!!! and if you dont even have the game and don't like or even kinda like Roller Coasters you'll still love this game. for those who don't have this game then buy the first one or better yet borrow it from a friend (it saves more money!)or you should buy the gold edition. then buy this one. and for those who dont like this game YOU! ARE! WIERD!!! once you install it you'll be hooked on it for 1-5 years! then stop playing for a little bit then you'll play it for another 4or5 years!don't forget to BUY! THE! GAME!!! now i'll tell you why I like it, because its awsome theres bathrooms,information booths, and food booths and you can look through rides which lets see through bathrooms and see people going to the bathroom. and you can make sidewalks go under ground and also the Roller coasters can (the main ones)and also can train stations which you can transport the people in!

Review: I cant wait for this game to come out..i am so excited! Rct1 was one of my fdavorite games so far and i heard rct2 will be even better than rct1 and the other expansion packs. I am going to buy this game soon and i would reccomend this game to everyone.

Summary: A lot of additions, great gameplay, but why not 3-D?
Review: The original game had a fantastic user interface, addicting gameplay, and a pretty good roller coaster editor. But why not keep up with the times in PC gaming and make this sequel 3-D? I have not doubts that this game will be just as good, if not better than the original. But to not make this 3-D leaves me a bit disappointed. Having said that, I'm sure that I will still be spending countless hours in front of my PC building the 'perfect' coaster. I wonder if they will let you build a wooden roller coaster that goes upside down like the Son of Beast at Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio?

Review: I have owned the original RCT game and expansion packs for three years, and I still love them. I can't wait to get RCT2 when it comes out. The original has great features including the intuitive coaster design system and the landscaping tools. RCT2 will only improve upon the original. It is going to have an improved design system, new rides, and authentic Six Flags parks. I love the original and I am going to love the sequel. They are the best Tycoon games, the best simulators, and possibly the best games ever created. And by the way, don't waste your money on games like Hyper Rails or Ultimate Ride. Unlike those, RCT is EASY TO USE, fun, and allows you to build more than just rollercoasters, although they are the most fun. To sum this up, Rollercoaster Tycoon rocks

Review: Roller Coaster Tycoon is a game that ensures Education, Interaction and great Entertaiment and Building. This game is very Educative scenarios put you in hard financial problem then you must figure out how to solve it and spend your money wisely and running the park and keeping guests happy is a really fun act, Well Finally!! Chris Sawyer has given his word!! RCT2 will be releasead within a few days I tell this game is GONNA RULE!! all the new improved graphics and rides and all the new features like scenario creator and roller coaster designer wivch looks really cool and also stacking scenery and being able to run Six Flags Parks!! I'll tell those who agree with me this game is really great you who are a person who's interested about the game I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you buy this game this game is awesome once you learn it it's on!! RCT has been one of the best games I have been playing the last two years this new sequel has lot's of features that RCT players kept dreaming of such as Creating waterfalls ans even making a submarine ride! The Graphics are very good they are incredible making huge graphical Update would completely change the game the graphics suit the game those people who think graphics make the game they are wrong the game is that makes the graphics a thing that makes you enjoy the game it's not the graphics it's all the gameplay and lifespan that makes it more fun lately on my house I stoped buying adventure games now I play Building games they never end because your Imagination keeps on going and going RCT2 is prime example of Creativity those who love the game knows what kind of fun the game brings and they are already confident that RCT 2 will bring smiles to over a billion RCT Fans and also may go back to the first place of best sellers. RCT2 is a very Promising game you see two years from now RCT is still a popular game this game is selling alot just in this 2 years RCT2 however will keep the games life very long until an expansion pack or RCT3 comes out with the new scenario creator and new abilities to build and interact with the simulation ( Wich puts you in real park situations ) RCT is a worthy game to buy no matter how much it costs it's like John Wardley Says " Part of the fun of this game is discovering what you can do ". I'm confident that as soon as RCT2 hits the shelves the computer stores will be filled with people going after to buy the game. the gameplay of RCT keeps the game alive and fun if you are a custumer and you're reading this YOU MUST preoder RCT2 you'll love to build and see guests happy it's not just a game it's not just an worthy sequel it's an xperience you must feel!! Review: I have the first 3 RCT (Roller Coaster Tycoon) Games and just by looking at the screen shots makes want to order it without permision. The first games were a ggreat learning experience, and highly recomend this game to kids that love amusement parks.
