Summary: Okay but with some disappointments
Review: I would've given it a 3 1/2 but they don't have that grade. Oh well. I thought this game would be very fun, at least that's what I thought it would be, and it still is, but this game is almost the same as the first roller coaster tycoon game. Although you can download some scenarios and other things off at ... the scenarios aren't that good. Even the new "decorations" aren't that cool. But, this game is worth the money and it is fun. There are new rides to this game and there are some six-flags roller coaster too.

Summary: Teenager calls this game, awesome!
Review: I think this is a great game because you get to make cool amusement park rides, that are realistic. You can make them move at unbelievable speeds, and create rides that are unique in size and shape. You can even add rides from real amusement parks like Six Flaggs if you can't think of your own. I recommend this game for every creative genius!

Summary: Awesome Game
Review: An awesome game. You can build almost any type of roller coaster, water ride, thrill ride, food stand, etc. you want. It has a bunch of scenarios, and even some six flags parks already made! You can also make roller coasters crash, and drown people. It is the best theme park simulation game on the planet

Summary: Bitter and Sweet!
Review: I really really enjoyed playing the first RCT and all of the expansion packs. I enjoyed building roller coasters and the usual stuff. This new "sequal" pack the same punch as the original with a few additional feature.

Bitter: well on the downside the new game runs on almost exactly the same engine as the first. there are very little graphic improvements. One of the features that i always thought was missing from the original was the ability to ride your coasters. Sad to say, it's missing from this one too. The ability to play the game in a window, build mountains and to mute the sound have been removed from this game as well.

Sweet: You can stack scenery. At first I didn't understand how this would make much of a difference but after playing i completeley understand. It's awesome. Other pluses: Roller coaster editor, scenario creator, new scenery, and Lots of new roller coasters.

Though it's not the perfect package, this game is by far THE BEST game in the roller coastr/theme park genre of gaming. This game is a must-buy for any RCT1 addict! You will not regret it.

Summary: Disappointing Sequel
Review: You've heard it before and you're going to hear it again. While there have been additions to this game, the designer, in a curious move has also taken away some key features. Rather than yammering endlessly about the nuances of the game, here is the breakdown:

PROS

More rides
More themes
More shops/stalls
Ability to save rides with scenery
Six Flags parks

CONS

Scant amount of theming objects for each theme
Fewer pathway and railing selections
Land smoothing tool omitted from regular gaming
Poor representation of Six Flags parks
LIMITED scenario editor

Summary: buggy
Review: The game seem to have a few annoying bugs. Impossible or very difficult to build paths to rides that are raised. Buildings appear in one location but when view is rotated they appear in another making them unreachable.

No patches available so up on the shelf it went. Pity seemed like fun.

Summary: Fun, but disapointing
Review: I am a major RCT junkie, but i am a bit dissapointed with RCT2. It is a fun game, but it doesn't feature many improvments from the origional (and there were a lot of things that could have used some improving). The graphics are the same, the handymen are just as stupid and still get stuck, you can still only view from 4 different angles, and they removed the ability to play it in a window on you desktop (or at least I havn't seen how yet).

On the plus side, they've added some new rides, new shops, and new ways of adding scenery. One nice feature is the ability to build shops/bathrooms above another path or water.

Overall, this is a fun game (as was the origional). But don't expect too many new and exciting features. This game is really more like an expansion to the origional RCT. But hey, for $22 I guess I can't complain

Summary: roller coaster tycoon 2
Review: overall, i think roller coaster tycoon 2 was afwul.First of all, you didn't have senarios such as forest fronters wich were easy and you could build a park just like you want and you could win whatever you did. Also if you wach a guest he/she will think"i think someone is waching me"and leave the park.however,i did like the new rides.

Summary: The BEST Infogames game YET!
Review: I have seen all the reviews for RCT2, plus, I ordered the game (but I didn't get it yet), and this game looks really REALLY cool! I have the original RCT, and I have Corckscrew Follies. So I know alot about this game. I am kind of a "Build an awesome park with lots of custom built roller coasters in it" guy; and it looks like this is the game for me. They have almost all the rides, attractions, scenery, and stuff like that from the original and the 2 expansion packs and more. Plus, this six flags idea is really neat too.
But of all the things I like about RCT, its the scenery and theming. For every park I have, I have a special theme; and RCT2 really emphisizes that on account of its go almost all the scenery from all 3 games, plus more! Its got giant garden, sports, wild west, pirates, and more!
Also, the idea that you can start from scratch is one of the best parts. Trainers don't always work for my computer, so im hoping you can adjust the amount of money you get at the beginning of the game.
Overall, this game is 1st class. If you have expirience with RCT, get it.

Summary: Don't Bother
Review: Those of you who own the first three RollerCoaster Tycoon games should stick with them, there is no need to buy this "Not New" and "Not Improved" version of the orginal. At a time when software companies are competing with the likes of X Box and Game Cube one would think a little more time and consideration would have gone into the new and improved RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, sadly this is not the case. The new rides that are provided with this game are the only addition to an otherwise clone of the original, the remainder of the features and rides are mostly the same and new features are lacking. Keep your money in your wallet and skip this one!
