Summary: Don't waste money for this game
Review: Honestly, with all the hype you'd thik this game was the blockbuster of the year, kind of like The Matrix Reloaded move. This game lacks big time. For one single player mode has, you guessed it, one mode, conquer the world. Ohhh... you attack, they defend, they attack, you defend etc, etc...... As for the units, they are ok, but I'd still like to know how a arrow can bring down a Lancaster bomber. But if you like playing the same missions over and over for hours then this game is for you. Though, if you down load the demo multiplayer and play that, that's the retail game, there really is no point in buying the game after playing the demo.
All in all, save your money for something else, anything else but this game.

Summary: Rise of Nations rising to the top of the charts!
Review: First off, please let me say one thing, Windows XP users should have no probelms with this game! I've seen a few reviews about peoples games freezing and it's not true really. XP works fine! One thing I don't understand is why everyone who has a problem writes a review just because they think it's the game when it's really their computer. You need to watch what you say.

On a better note, this game is worth the $! Yes, the development goes a little quicker, but come on, would you rather have a game go on for 3 hours and still be stuck in the gundpowder age? Here it goes quicker, and this could turnoff alot of people, but it's the game, and it's how it would be. this game has excellent performance, I've got a Alienware Extreme, 200gig,3ghz,pentium proccessor, so of course it works great, but many people can play it. It gives you a sense of reality too, personally for me it's the gunpowder - enlightment ages I like the best because I like the old fighting with the cannons and the muzzle to muzzle fighting. This is definently a 5 out of a 5 and is a must buy! Have fun gamers and see you online!

Summary: This game is total fun
Review: This game is by far the best strategy game I have played. I am not much of a gamer but games like this can make you one.
The best part is the duration of a game is just perfect....it can finish in about 1.5 to 2 hrs. I havemnt played much on the single player game but the multiplayer is just awesome.

You get to choose from a variety of civilazation like the british, germans , russians etc. each having its own speciality.
The best part is that u can advance from the ancient to the information age in like 45 mins., and theres no Bull**** like making houses and all...everything that u make has a reason(econominc or military).
U get to upgrade u r armies, navies and the best part is the airforce...u can make u r B2 spirit bombers, airbabses, aircraft carriers, destroyers etc.
Even the maps that u choose have their own characteristics...like the Himalays have very less oil and u fight the other civilizations for that.
It is very real like as u advance thru the ages u realize that knowledge is the most important resource u can get. U get to create universities and libraries.

The graphics are about a 4.5/5, but i liked the sound, especially details like a air raid alarm or a nuclear missle launch.

All in all great fun...

Summary: Sweeeeeeeeeet game
Review: To sum it up: This is an awsome game. You andvance thru the ages such as Claccical age to industrial age to the information age. Your army can be ranged from hoplites to musketters to the moder day assult infanty. The economy is not to intensive. It reqiuers a fiar amount of attenssion.

You wanna get serious?
Military: In the 1st ages you will fight with pikmen and hevey infantry and also some archers. Very Age of Empires stuff. But once you reach the indutral age it all changes. your infantry become rifelmen , machine gunners, and anti tank men. They also thorw in some cool stuff like special forces and flamthorwers.Your Horses become tanks and armoured vehcals. and you also get some planes. And as you advanse to the information age you men vehcals navy and air units get upgraded.

Economy: Like i siad it is not to intensive. You will start out with collecting food, wood, and wealth(gold). Then you will need to collect knowledge and oil and iron in the later ages. To get knowledes you will need to get a univesity and creat scholors. This game economy is different but not way egzodic. You will also need to biuld cites to expand your broaders and economy. Your cites can get upgrded from a small city to a large city to a major city.when they get upgraded you will have more advatages.

Overall:
gameplay:5
sound: 4.5
Graphics 4
Control:5

Plesase Excquies the spelling affter all i am only 13.

Summary: Astonishing!
Review: This game is the greatest real-time-strategy game since Command and Conquer Red Alert Two and Age of Empires Two: Age of Kings. The "Conquer the World Campeign" is very fun and strategic. All around an extraordinary game.

Summary: This game rocks and I've spent hours playing it.
Review: This is a great marriage of Civilization style planning and thinking and Age of Empires battle. It really is the best game I've seen in a long time. The game never slows down, it is robust and well engineered.

Buy it now!

Summary: What I was waiting for
Review: I am a big fan of real time simulation games that take place throughout history. Yes, I purchased and enjoyed Empire Earth. But in comparison Empire Earth does not even come close to the amount of detail, time, and effort put into creating RoN. Rise of Nations allows the player to control a nation and build citizens, soldiers, caravans, etc. It has a similar feel to that of AoM or AoE. The big difference with RoN is that when you build a new settlement it becomes a city and has its own borders. The game is played in real time and battles take place just like in AoE. However the design makes it feel like it really is a nation with borders and different cities, similar to the feel from civilization but it all takes place in real time.

Summary: What A Great Game...better than Civ 3 or Imperialism
Review: I loved this game. Simply because the gameplay is very free-flowing and the graphics are excellent. You have a choice between over 20 different races and I like this aspect as well. I think this is a much better game than Civ 3 mainly because its easier to research technologies while in Civ 3 you can be in the latter stages of the game and still trying to research the caravel. The nuclear armaggedon option is borrowed from Civ 3 but overall along with the Imperialism games is an excellent game to play.
