Summary: The "Sim" World...crossing the line of reality?...
Review: One word.

WOW.
In the past, these flight simulators have always given me a thrill. I have always enjoyed the ones that I have used, especially from Microsoft. But they have gone above and beyond the call of duty. It is truly a simulator. Or is it?

You actually need permission to take off, land, and even taxi.(You can do it without, but I wouldn't recommend it.) The controls are so different from the previous. I am going to have to take a few lessons just to get back into the swing of things. And the airports, I mean, wow. I went to a small airport near my house on this simulator, and (Like the previous versions didn't have) there is actually traffic at these airports. And they look like they would in real life.
Lets just put it this way; I bought this game the day it came out. After a night out on the town, I came home and wanted to get a "quick" flight in from O'hare to Meigs field. Decided to take the Cessna, with the traffic set to 100%. They asked me to taxi to 14. I was 5th in line for takeoff! Great...quick flight my keister. I finally took off with an east departure to Meigs. As I was approaching Meigs, and contacted them, I was 3rd behind two Cessnas that were landing as well. Needless to say, sleep that night was deprived for me, as I wanted to fly so much more, and so many different places.
I cannot even begin to describe what else this game er...simulator has to it. I hope you all enjoy, and if you would like more help or explanation, point the plane toward Meigs, and ask for the owner of the Caravan. I will probably be cursing at the air traffic, and thinking to myself...
Wow.

Summary: It's the best!!!
Review: This flight simulator it's the best game ever. You could spend hours playing it and not get bored. Even if you are into planes or not you will enjoy a lot. The graphics are fantastic and all the realism settings this game brings makes you feel like you are actually flying. The planes, the airports, the cities can't get any more real. Everything this simulator brings makes you feel good about buying this game. Buy it and you won't regret it. It's a great buy!!!

Summary: Excellent!
Review: This program is the best! I've experienced the flight sims '95 through '02 and the '02 professional version is the best flight simulator I've ever seen. The graphics are amazing. Even without full graphics I can recognize familiar areas in Seattle. The system is suprisingly lag-free. Actually, the game seemed to run smoother with the highest number of pixels selected. The computer it's on is rather slow as well. The planes are immaculate in their handling. Each one has different characteristics, or personality. You can feel the light power motor of the Cessna, but climb into the all, new, Vought Corsair and you can almost feel the surge of power as you add full throttle. The new Bell Jet Ranger is great fun. The ATC (Air Traffic Cotrol) is incredibly accurate. I use it almost all the time I fly. As I left on a real flight about two weeks ago I could see the signs marking the taxi BA on the runway. That's the very taxiway I'm directed to use in flight sim. There are new features on the planes. You can open and close the doors, and listen to other pilots with ATC. Also the new Virtual Cockpit adds stunning realism. You can now get the view that pilots have in the real world. It improves visiblilty too. In the Vought Cosair you can actually fold the wings up and lower the tailhook. The places around the globe that you can fly over are endless. The game even has private airstrips that belong to ranches on it. For you who want to get a taste of Afghanistan (I don't think many do) You can fly there. The outside graphics are incredible. In one building in Seattle you can actually see the desks, file cabinets, and computers INSIDE the building. Congratulations Microsoft and whoever buys Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Professional version!

Review: wow, what a game. Buy it, but...before you buy your cpu needs..
at least 256 RAM, nvidia video driver, joystick, 10GB Hard disk, and recommended internet connection for downloads. If not the game will not work very well.
