Summary: Beta at best
Review: This looks to be a cool game. Unfortunately, the release was so dependant in corresponding with the DVD trilogy release that Lucas Arts has released a Beta version of a game. The game plays okay, but the controls are bad compared to BF1942 or BFV. Even worse, the consoles are weak at best. The multiplayer consoles are the weakest since the original Doom.

Summary: Battlefront is fun!
Review: Got this game as a gift. Was excited at first because I am a fan of the movies and the games. Had nothing but trouble getting it to install (PC version) and the support from LucasArts was poor. I stated in an e-mail to them my problem and that I had already tried updating the drivers and re-installing the software. Their help was to update the drivers and re-install the game. Obviously no one read my problem very closely. I finally got it to work on my own with some help from a message board.
Then was disappointed at the lack of options and the skill level required. You can't choose sides as is advertised. (At least no on all maps) Your side is chosen for you and I was easily able to beat all levels at "hard" difficulty on the first try.

Summary: Star Wars Battlefront info
Review: I have been on the lucas arts website(www.lucasarts.com) and it gives a lot of info about this game i have also been to www.gamespot.com and found lots of info.

1.Yes it is like battlefield 1942 in that it has classes and different armies. The Rebel units will be made up of the soldier, marksman, pilot, wookiee smuggler, and vanguard. The Imperial side will have the stormtrooper, shock trooper, pilot, scout trooper, and dark trooper. the Republic forces will consist of the clone trooper, jet trooper, clone pilot, clone sharpshooter, and arc trooper. Finally, the Trade Federation units will be made up of the droideka, super battle droid, assault droid, droid pilot, and recon droid.

2. Battlefront will include over fifteen different vehicles for players to use on the battlefield. These vehicles will include both air and ground based vehicles from the movies. The following vehicles have been mentioned in press releases/interviews:

AT-STs
AT-ATs
X-Wings
Y-Wings
Speeder Bikes
Rebel Snowspeeders
Republic Gunships
Jedi Starfighters
TIE Fighters
Imperial Shuttles
Trade Federation Tanks
Tauntauns
Other vehicles from the movies are expected in addition to the above. These vehicles will also have capabilities from the movies - a Republic Gunship will be able to hold six people, and Rebel Snowspeeders will be able to launch a tow cable out of the rear of the vehicle.

3. The planets in star wars battlefront are:

Hoth
Yavin
Tatooine
Naboo

Geonosis
Kamino
that is all i know about star wars battlefront

Summary: Hi Battle Front!! ^_^ ^_^
Review: I love this game. True, it isn't the most advanced and complicated game as some shooters go, but it is still right up there (actually, I appreciated the simplicity). The part I enjoy is that you have to have to be aware of the flow of the battle in order to win. Even in individual player mode you are part of an army and you have to be aware of what is developing and take the proper action. For example, if your side is losing too many command posts maybe you can't just hunker down in some hidey-hole and snipe people or you will still lose, even if you kill 60+ enemy soldiers. You may just have to get out there and figure another way to help your side out. Sometimes, however, sniping is a good strategy, or maybe you need to jump in a Scout Walker and lend some heavy weapons support, or maybe you need to help defend a strategic hallway.... It all depends on the situation and your ability to adjust. This game is fun to play over and over as you try different strategies (kind of like HALO was).

Summary: If you're not convinced already, read this...
Review: I really hate it when people write reviews before the game comes out. How can they possibly know whether it's good or bad? Well you may wonder why I am writing this then. I'll tell you in a minute, but first I'll have my say about the game.

Star Wars like you've never expeirienced before. After years of watching and drooling over the epic battle scences of the movie, you finally get to experience it. I can't tell you whether this game is going to be good or bad. I don't want to sit here and explain every little detail about it the developers have released, go to ign.com for something like that. But what I can tell you is that this game has the potential to be the greatest Star Wars game ever created.

Now, why am I writing this review that has so far just wasted your time? Because if you are not convinced you should buy it yet, you need to go to the swbattlefront.net forums and download the trailer "thejeditraitor" made. If that doesn't convince you to buy this game, nothing will.

Have fun out there!

Summary: Gonna be awesome
Review: This is gonna be an awesome game. An Xbox demo of it will come with the Star Wars Original Trilogy DVD Box Set. Ten planets, twenty maps, four militaries, each military having five or six soldier classes. The only thing not awesome about this game is that the game doesn't have the graphics player model-wise. The vehicles and environments look awesome though.

Summary: Cool Game
Review: This is the king of Star Wars games, at least in terms of gameplay and concept.
In most of the other games, you are the star. You play as Luke, or Han Solo, or Mace Windu, or some other important person. In this game, you are a nobody. Just one of a hundred stormtroopers or Rebel commandos running around trying to stay alive. You're just the guy who gets killed by Luke Skywalker on Bespin. It's so much easier to get absorbed in a game like this, because we can all identify with being a little cog in a big machine. If you live for five minutes in hard combat, you're amazing.

How many times have we watched Return of the Jedi and wondered how the hell a stupid Ewok could kill a stormtrooper with a stick? But play as a stormtrooper on Endor and you'll see how hard it is to watch your back in a three-dimensional battle. When you're killed, the game is nice enough to zoom in on the person (or Ewok) that killed you, so you can say, "Man, I should've seen that coming." Suddenly, Ewoks aren't so stupid.

The game play is excellent, and although the finer points take some getting used to (like going prone, or gunning on a Republic transport) it is easy to get started. Move and shoot and move again. Throw a grenade. Run away. It's simple.

Here are the points I would improve:
1. No arena mode. You can't get four friends together and tear each other up without playing with a group online.
2. The guns overheat too quickly. Many of the vehicles can only get off three or four shots before you need to switch to your secondary weapon to let the main gun recharge. Hit the wrong button in the heat of battle, and suddenly you're sitting in a different seat, no longer flying the ship.
3. The graphics on much of the scenery have room for improvement, but I will say that at least their simplicity keeps the load times down and the game play moving. It's a good balance, unlike Bounty Hunter where the graphics are amazing but the game isn't half as much fun to play.

Those are the only imperfections, and they're nothing compared to how cool the rest of it is.

Buy this game.
